Director Vikas Bahl Turns To Old Delhi Haunts For ‘Queen’ Shooting.

Director Vikas Bahl, who is helming the Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Queen’ produced by Viacom Motion Pictures & Phantom Films, grew up in Delhi and as such, has fond memories of the Capital, which reportedly prompted him to shoot at locations in Delhi that he had frequented during his youth.

A source said, “Vikas was quite keen about shooting at particular Delhi locations like Lajpat Nagar, Alaknanda Market, Delhi Haat, Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant, Saket, Delhi University- North Campus and other such places as they have been a part of his growing up years and he was quite nostalgic about the locations.”

Confirming the news says director Vikas Bahl, “I have fond memories of Delhi and shot at all the locations that a common man would visit ….we’ve tried to capture the essence and flavor of the city”.

Viacom Motion Pictures & Phantom Films’ Queen directed by Vikas Bahl is scheduled to release 28^th February 2014.

Motivation galore to spice up the drama quotient in Sony Entertainment Television’s Ekk Nayi Pehchan

The newly launched show of Sony Entertainment television’s “Ekk Nayi Pehchaan” is leaving no stone unturned to entertain its audience.  The show that explores the real relationship between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is all set to witness the motivation galore from Sakshi (Krystle Dsouza) for Sharda (Poonam Dhillon). Recently, it has been seen that Sakshi is very upset with her mother-in-law being ridiculed for her illiteracy. Sakshi decides to motivate her mother in law to take up for further studies. In the upcoming episodes the viewers will get to see a temple scene between Sakshi and Sharda where Sakshi proposes and requests Sharda to take up studies and join coaching class. Sharda who is a stern devote of Lord Krishna agrees on Sakshi’s proposal when the Lord Krishna showers his blessing too by dropping a peacock feather drops down. 4th Gionne Star Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) Awards Sees Outstanding Success

 

Mumbai, January The 4^th Gionee Star Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA) Awards powered by Reliance 3G unfolded this evening at NSCI Stadium, Worli. Initiated by Wizcraft International to applaud the finest achievements in the music Industry, GiMA has grown into an established dais that unites the biggest musical talents in the country onto a common stage.

The ceremony hosted by Ranveer Singh featured some of the best performances by some of the finest stalwarts in the music industry as well as some of the brightest stars of Bollywood. Asha Bhosle’s also paid tribute to music legend R.D. Burman with her performance on some of his most iconic songs Mera Naam Shabnam, Dum Maro Dum, Gulabi Chehra, Duniya Mein and Aa Dekhe Zara among others.

The evening also saw a spellbinding performance by Sonakshi Sinha who performed as last year’s ceremony as well. With an exciting segment hosted by the hit comedian Kapil Sharma and some electrifying performances by Mika and Honey Singh, the evening hit all the high notes.

The love story Aashiqui 2 walked away with 6 GiMA awards leading in the film category. The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Honour was awarded to Asha Bhosle in the Popular category for her outstanding contribution to the music industry. Pt Ram Narayan, considered the finest sarangi exponent in the country and the man who made it a popular instrument was also awarded the Lifetime Achievement Honour – Classical.

On winning Best Playback Singer Female, Shreya Ghosal said, “It’s very special when you win an award, it reminds you that there is so much work to do, so much more music to enthrall audiences, I am very proud to be a part of this industry. Aashiqui 2 has definitely been the flavor of the year.”

The show also showcased a host of promising and upcoming artistes including Aditya Narayan, Shefali Alvares, Ankit Tiwari, Sreeram, Bhoomi, Aditi Singh Sharma, Siddharth Mahadevan and Nikhil Paul George come together in a very special act, rendering the chart busters of the year gone by. Usha Uthup also had a special performance singing a number of songs, most notably, Skyfall.

The 4^th edition of the Gionee Star GiMA Awards is presented by Gionee and Star TV and powered by Reliance 3G. Brand Partners for the event are Renault and the Videocon Group.

Baby girl for Sachiin and Raina Joshi

Late night on 20^th January, Raina Joshi delivered a baby girl making Sachiin Joshi a proud father. He tied the knot with model turned actress then Urvashi Sharma in 2012. Sachiin Joshi who just acquired Telugu Warriors in Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) was busy practicing in Hyderabad as CCL kicks off on 25^th January. He flew on emergency basis post midnight on hearing the news of his baby girl to be by his better side.

Speaking of the new entrant to the family, the ecstatic father quotes “It has been a great start for me this year with the CCL league and now arrival of my beautiful angel”. Sachiin will soon resume the practice at Hyderabad.

Who is Pothraj? Pothraj is a wandering servant of Goddess ‘Maree Aai’ who tasks with pains and punishment as penance of torture upon himself on behalf of other’s sins and succour them.People in return give him a charity of grains and alms as prevalent in the Hindu Religious Tradition of Maharashtra.
‘’WAKYA’’…
Ghumya along with his wife Sushi and son Sonya is a wanderer who keeps seeking his livelihood of provision and alms from village to village.
But he did not aspire a gruesome life as an inheritance for his son ,hence he decides to educate his son.His wife too supports him.But father Pandba and mother Rakhma oppose him and remind him of their ancestral tradition.
Not heeding to them Ghumya takes his son to school.But on the advice of Kadambai that he will have shed his wander life and be settled in the village,he puts up his petition to the village Patil (village chief ).
The village chief offers him a house amongst his field for accommodation .
But following this as per the Government Housing Scheme that can provide an individual his own house ,he pursues it to acquire his own home.
But lack of Govt. proofs of Ration card, Identity card ,Birth certificate ,Community proof etc .give him a setback.
At that juncture ,the monsoon prevails and the dilapidated house that Patil had given him turns ruined.
Simultaneously he learns of the Govt.announcement that Govt. is providing a reimbursement as a rehabilitation for all those whose houses have collapsed due to monsoon onslaught .He sees it as his last hopeful opportunity and demolishes the remaining backwall of his house.
But as the house belonged to Patil it’s reimbursement for the house ,would go in favour of Patil is told to him by the Gramsevak.
Sadly he returns home.
Now what?
Will Ghumya ever get a house of his own?
Will he be able to educate his son?
Will the traditional wagon of wandering life befall his son as inheritance?
