Vivek Oberoi & Daler Mehndi received 21st National Award in Capital

 

National Award is one of the most prestigious award of India, and getting such award is the most prestigious moment for anybody.  And this time, Vivek Oberoi who has contributed a lot in bollywood with his acting got 21^st National Award for his comic role in Masti and Daler Mehndi received National Award for best singer. Under the Flagship of Journalist Federation of India (JFI) at Hotel Ashoka, Chanakyapuri . On the occasion Minister for road transport and highways, Mr. Oscar Fernandes with Justice S.N. Agarwal and chairman of 21^st JAI National Awards committee, Mr. H.K. Sethi  graced the award function and distributed awards.  

Along with Vivek, some of the most famous personalities of nation  who  also received the national awards which includes Daler Mehndi and Lal Jajwa for best singer, Krishka Lulla for best producer, Rakhi Sawant and Pooja Mishra for Item Dancer, Lushin Dubey  for best stage artist, Arun Balli for lifetime achievement in TV serials,  Vandana Vadehra for best Emcee  and some others.

JFI is the federation of Journalist's organizations, which is working and fighting ceasesly for the Media Persons & Aritist from Entertainment Industries, JFI is not only working for Media but also working for the welfare of the Society at large.

FLORIDA LEGISLATORS HONOUR IIFA

 

Hillsborough County Legislative Delegation Chairman John Legg (R-Trinity) and the rest of the delegation welcomed the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) to the Florida State Capitol on Thursday. Additionally, Senator John Legg introduced Senate Resolution 1680 honoring the Academy. Viraf Sarkari, Director – IIFA  & Wizcraft and Indian actress and Friend of IIFA, Preity Zinta were on hand to accept the honour.The Hillsborough County leaders welcomed IIFA to Tallahassee, Florida celebrating ‘Bollywood Day’ at the Capitol. Several groups of dancers from north Florida performed for visitors, including Indian actress Preity Zinta.Speaking at the conference, Zinta said, “The only time I think for all actors to interact with their fans from different countries is IIFA, so if you're not going to go there, your bad luck.”“We are very excited to be hosting our 15^th IIFA Awards in the State of Florida,” said Viraf Sarkari, one of IIFA’s directors. “I thank Senator Legg for bringing us together to discuss the exciting impact that film has in our lives.”

The IIFA Weekend and Awards 2014  will be held in Tampa, Florida from April 23^rd – 26^th.

Vivek Oberoi to dub Super Villain Electro’s voice in Hindi version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2

 Sony Pictures India has selected actor Vivek Oberoi to be the Hindi voice of the main villain Max Dillon aka Electro in this year’s biggest Hollywood blockbuster THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 which releases on May 1^st. In the original English version, Electro is played by Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx.

Kercy Daruwala, Managing Director – Sony Pictures India, said, “We are very happy to have Vivek on board for the Hindi version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The Hindi version is a large part of our box office and it’s a very important role that Vivek will be playing in its success. Vivek has played a villain so brilliantly in the past and is already a familiar face in the genre. Kids in particular love him.”

Actor Vivek Oberoi who is on a career high confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I will be Electro's voice in the Hindi version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I have always been a huge fan of the Spider-Man comics and films and am thrilled to see that the franchise has just grown bigger and better with each film. I have been tremendously excited for The Amazing Spider-Man 2's release ever since the first trailer came out, and when I was offered to voice Electro for the Hindi version, I was immediately interested in this unique opportunity. Max Dillon/Electro is an immensely fascinating and complex character and it will be interesting to face off with Spider-Man. After my turn as super villain Kaal in Krrish 3, whose 250 crore box office was incredibly gratifying, this is just the icing on the cake.”

He added: “I have already begun dubbing and am looking forward to the film’s release on May 1st!"

Karanvir Bohra, the Khatron Ke Khiladi’s most fashionable young man, who made his mark in Punjabi filmdom with Love Youu Soniye has another side to him. A spiritual side. Very few are aware that he takes short breaks to get away from the stress of the city to spend time at spiritual and yoga retreats.

Along with wife Teejay Sidhu, Karanvir looks at propagating yoga with a video for TFV actors who work 24 x7 for 30 days and often can’t handle the hectic schedules.

“We are working on it at the moment,” says Karanvir, who feels that he would like to also have a few aspects of how to stay fit while at work. Interestingly, the couple also practices the Art of Living meditation. “we also had a very spiritual wedding at the Shri Shri Ravishankar Ashram in Bangalore,” elaborates Teejay.

Stylish Trailer Launched in Grand Style!

Producer Kavita Barjatya is coming up with a surprise packet from Rajshri Productions, which is known for their family dramas. She will be seen taking the Rajshri banner to a dynamic and contemporary new turn with her maiden production ‘Samrat & Co’.

The film's unique and intriguing trailer was launched with great fanfare at a suburban multiplex in Mumbai with not only the entire cast and crew but the Barjatya scions as well!

Giving their blessings to the dynamic debutante Producer Kavita Barjatya were her illustrious father Mr Kamal Kumar Barjatya and brother Sooraj Barjatya who graced the occasion and lauded her efforts to bring a new wave into Rajshri Productions.

The poster and trailer of Samrat & Co were launched amidst the presence of Mr Kamal Barjatya, Mr Sooraj Barjatya, Producer Kavita Barjatya, Director Kaushik Ghatak, Main Leads Rajeev Khandelwal (who plays Samrat), Madalsa Sharma, Rajniesh Duggal, Smita Jaykar,Bhoumik Sampat, Naveen Prabhakar, Gufi Paintal, Shreya Narayan and more!

Kavita Barjatya says, “This subject is unconventional as compared to the films we have made at Rajshri earlier, so that whole mounting and canvas had to be different. The grey characters were the requirement of the story. I am happy that when we narrated to my father, he understood and supported me in venturing into this. Every character in the movie is intriguing and has some hidden agenda.”

Specially targeting India’s young audiences, ‘Samrat & Co’ is the first of its kind detective franchisee, wherein the very nuances of crime solving, human nature and the world of standalone private investigators will be presented on the big screen on a pure entertainment platform.

Releasing on 25^th April 2014, ‘Samrat & Co’. is produced by Kavita Barjatya under her family banner Rajshri Productions and is directed by Kaushik Ghatak.
