Shahrukh Khan begins work on “FAN”

Shahrukh Khan, the man unarguably with one of the greatest fan following globally, will now play the role of being the biggest fan himself in the forthcoming YRF movie, FAN. The film begins shooting July 2014 and the actor has begun work on the film.

The renowned special effects makeup maestro, Greg Cannom, who started work on developing Shahrukh’s look for the film, spent considerable time at the Studio recently with the actor, Director, Maneesh Sharma and Producer, Aditya Chopra.

Greg, who really doesn’t need an introduction, has been nominated for nine Academy Awards and has won an Oscar three times for the memorable looks he created in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (2008), “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993) and “Dracula” (1992), apart from several other prestigious awards. In 2005, along with Wesley Wofford, he received a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy for the development of special modified silicone material used for makeup applications in motion pictures. 

Speaking about the look, Maneesh said, “We are attempting a never-seen before look for Shahrukh which will be both challenging for us and exciting for the viewer. Understandably, this will be kept under wraps till the first look of the film is revealed.”

Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, FAN has been written by Habib Faisal, and goes on floor mid-2014.

The film releases worldwide on 14^th August 2015.

Actor Dhruv Bali bags Hollywood Feature Film "Checkmate"

 Dhruv Bali the Indian born actor from Hollywood has bagged the main lead role in Checkmate, a psychological thriller/ murder mystery being produced  in New York, The film is a Full length Feature and an Icelerate Film production which is being directed by Vijit Sharma. It will be shot in New Jersey and New York. The female lead will be played by Nandana Sen, along with Parvin Dabas. Dhruv Bali recently completed filming Popular German TV series “Privatdetektive Im Einsatz“ playing the role of Simon Moore.  It is a Film Pool Entertainment production with a season being shot in Los Angeles. The series is likely to be on air for 2 years. 

Dhruv Bali  has recently become the hollywood talk of the town after bagging a Feature Film as well as web series  "Sobe Role Models" in which he plays one of the lead Principal Character, His work reminds us of  Ed Norton and Tom Hanks. 

In an interview with our correspondent Dhruv said that presently he was considering offers only in Hollywood. His resume in the past year show his dedication and how much he is in demand in hollywood. From Feature films,short films to Web series and commercials, Dhruv has branched out into every acting platform possible.

  He has done short films Black,White & Violet", ‘Deception’, ‘Void’ and ‘Criminals’& ‘Pain is Temporary’ which was also written and directed by him. Best part about ‘Void’ was that it was a silent film without dialogues and completely based on the acting of the actor, for which Dhruv's acting skills were highly praised. Dhruv is also compared to Zayn Malik of the famous boy band 'One Direction' from UK. Though Dhruv Bali was born and brought up in India he always wanted to work in Hollywood films. He went to USA for higher education and studied Theater in San Francisco and moved to Hollywood to pursue his dream to be an actor. Now Dhruv is swarmed with Hollywood as well as Bollywood movie offers including the Yashraj Banner.

David Dhawan’s special connect with Shimla!

It’s been a year since the King of Comedy, David Dhawan has come up with a movie to tickle our funny bones! After Chashme Baddor, David Dhawan will be directing his son Varun Dhawan in the next masala entertainer Main Tera Hero!

Main Tera Hero that has already grabbed a billion eyeballs has some of the scenes shot in the picturesque of Shimla! What we hear is, David Dhawan has a special type of connection with Shimla! He believes that whenever he directs a movie that has a sequence in Shimla, it is a hit!

David Dhawan says,” Shimla always had a special connection with my movies. Whichever movie I shot here was a hit! Shimla is a very movie friendly place which some amazing scenery. Also the weather of Shimla is very cooperative! In Main Tera Hero, I’m directing my son. Hence I made sure we shoot at St. Lawrence School in Shimla! ”

Well, with lucky connections like these, we are sure the movie is going to be a hit!

Harman Baweja & Ayesha Khanna sizzle in Dishkiyaoon.

The trailer of Eros International & ESM’s Dishkiyaoon created a stir on the social media front ever since it launched online ,courtesy some high-octane action ,power-packed dialogues and of course some sizzling chemistry between the leads – Harman Baweja and Ayesha Khanna, who makes her big Bollywood debut with the film.

The stylist turned actress who was discovered by producer Shilpa Shetty Kundra was initially nervous, given that the film marks her acting debut, however Harman Baweja guided the actress through the scenes and made it a smooth process shooting for the film.

Says a source, “ The scenes Harman and Ayesha share are not your typical run-of-the-mill romantic scenes . The two got along like a house on fire and the comfort they share off screen helped them deliver convincing performances on-screen, oozing of sensuality”.

All praise for Harman says Ayesha Khanna, " I would take a lot of advice from Harman.He was extremely sweet and patient with me and never once made me feel like I was a newcomer.It was great working with him and I did learn a lot from him and that shows on-screen".

On his part says Harman Baweja, “Never once did it feel like Ayesha was anewcomer and in fact I was so impressed with her that I personally felt she's worked on 10 films before this one.We had several workshops together to work on our chemistry and scenes and the fact that people have sat up and taken notice makes it worth the effort.”

Says producer Shilpa Shetty Kundra, " Harman and Ayesha are both great actors and extremely good looking ,so there is bound to be chemistry that shoots through the roof".

Eros International and ESM's Dishkiyaoon directed by Sanamjit Talwar starring Harman Baweja, Sunny Deol and Ayesha Khanna is scheduled to release on March 28 2014.

Singer Nakash Aziz sings Gay party song for film “DIL MANGEY KUCHH AUR”

A Party song for Gay community was recorded for Bhoomika Productions maiden Hindi feature film, based on Gay community “DIL MANGEY KUCHH AUR” on Wednesday, 19th March 2014 at Studio Kailasha, Andheri (W), in voice of singer Nakash Aziz (film R..Rajkumar ‘Sadi ke Fall Sa’ fame), under baton of music director Abhi Gadwe & Shree Gathe (Remix album ‘Baby Doll & Party To Banti Hai’ fame) with lyrics by Gopal Sharma.

Film is being produced by Rohit Kumar & Neeta Garbade  Film is directed by Rajesh Dubeay with screenplay by Niranjan Bhudhadara. Executive Producer is Anil Pawar.  Producers have earlier made many short films and this is their first full length feature film. Films cast are under finalization and will go on floor by end of this month. Producers Rohit & Neeta feels that this song based on Gays will play role of a bridge to bring Gays closer to society.

Film “DIL MANGEY KUCHH AUR” is based on Gay community, how they get attracted towards each other and how they get married. Debutant director Rajesh Dubeay said he is trying to show reality on life of Gay community, he also feels that if entire Gay community who are enrolled in voter list go for voting they will vote for a stable government. Rajesh Dubeay has earlier directed Tv serials like ‘Mere Apne’ starring Vinod Khanna for 9X, ‘Vivah’ starring Anju Mahendru for ZTV and ‘Waris’ starring Kiran Kumar, Ashish Vidyarthi for ZTV and made a film on naxalism for Film festival which was highly acclaimed.
