Secretary Delacourt, a government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn't stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Demon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission, which if successful, will not only save his life but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji got married on 21st April

We are happy to announce that Mr. Aditya Chopra and Ms. Rani Mukerji got married last night on 21st April in Italy. The wedding was a very small intimate affair with very close family and friends.

MYNTRA.COM PRESENTS IIFA ROCKS: A NIGHT OF FASHION AND MUSIC

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) will showcase the Myntra.com IIFA Rocks on Thursday, a night of glamour, high fashion and entertainment which will witness the coming together of the best in Indian fashion and music! The high-end event which is one of the key initiatives of the Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend will be held on 24^th of April at the Tampa Convention Center. The title sponsors of the event is Myntra, India's largest e-commerce store for fashion and lifestyle products.

Hosted by the stunning Gauhar Khan and IIFA nominee, actor, Vivek Oberoi, Myntra.com IIFA Rocks will showcase leading Indian designers from India and the host nation, Vikram Phadnis, Manish Malhotra and the US-based Amita Bal. While ace designer Manish Malhotra will display an exquisite collection from Shabana Azmi’s NGO, the Mijwan Welfare Society, another leading name of Indian fashion Vikram Phadnis will showcase his collection ‘Nazaakat’ touted to be the epitome of classic Indian attire which he has designed for Vishal Fashions.  Walking the ramp for Phadnis are stunners Malaika Arora Khan and Yami Gautam. Malhotra will have Anil Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha walk for the Mijwan Welfare Society.

The US-based Indian fashion designer Amita Bal is the third talent who will showcase her collection with P. N Gadgil Jewellers and the reigning Miss America Nina Davuluri will take a bow dressed in her designs.  Amita thereafter also does a very special segment which will have Tampa’s heroes receive a special honour, they walk the ramp…representing Tampa Bay Rocks!. These achievers will be escorted by well known names from Tampa, giving the event a local flavour. The segment will see local celebrities, NASCAR driver – Shannon McIntosh, WFLA Morning Anchor – Jack Harris, Ms Tampa 2014 – Katy Sartain, Mayor of Tampa – Bob Buckhorn, Brad Culpepper of Tampa Bay Buccaneers fame and Brook Bennett – US Olympic Gold Medal swimmer, among others with hero’s Commissioner Al Higginbotham, Linda Hess, Jim Morgan, Hillary Wineberg, Naren Ramakrishna and Officer Donaldson, among others. Dr Kiran & Pallavi Patel will also walk the ramp in this segment.

On the music side, turning up the volume with exciting performances is the musical maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan along with famous Indian playback singers Monali Thakur, Bhoomi Trivedi, Ankit Tiwari and the sensational percussionist DJ Ravi Drums.

Two-time Academy Award Nominee and Two-time Golden Globe winner John Travolta to attend 15th IIFA AWARDS

America is all set to witness the unique convergence of Hollywood and Indian Cinema, as IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) rolls out its Green Carpet in Tampa Bay. The Award Winning Actor John Travolta is set to make an appearance at India’s biggest celebration of cinema, the 15^th Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend and Tata Motors IIFA Awards later this month. The actor will also receive a special honour at the Awards ceremony, being the ‘Most Popular All time International star in India’.

The superstar’s presence at IIFA is symbolic to the coming together of the two distinctive film industries. Travolta will grace the extravaganza extending his support and appreciation of the Indian Film Industry and its spectacular influence world over. An iconic name in Hollywood, John Travolta has seen staggering success as an actor, singer and dancer. Travolta has starred in numerous eponymous blockbusters including Saturday Night Fever, Pulp Fiction, Grease, Swordfish, Face Off, Broken Arrow and Ladder 49. The multitalented star has been nominated for the Academy Award twice and nominated for 7 Golden Globes. He went on to win 2 Golden Globes including one for his performance in the critically acclaimed film Get Shorty.
The third day of the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend (25^th of April) will see the IIFA Magic of the Movies and Technical Awards. Held at The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, it will be a night of music, dance and awards, with performances from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Farhan Akthar, Pritam, Bipasha Basu and a special musical act by the Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The 26^th night, the Tata Motors IIFA Awards will see performances by Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Siddharth Malhotra and Deepika Padukone among others. The 15^th IIFA Weekend & Awards will be celebrated in Tampa Bay, Florida from the 23^rd-26^th of April. This will be IIFA’s debut in the United States.

With a view to recreate the vibrant magic of India in America, IIFA STOMP is a unique initiation into Bollywood. The opening event of the Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend is an open to public, community party that will kick start celebrations. IIFA STOMP is set to take place on the 23^rd of April at the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park which overlooks the Hillsborough River. The event is co-sponsored by TECO Energy and Nielsen, and support sponsored by USAmeriBank.

Playing out as a befitting welcome party of the biggest celebration of Indian cinema, IIFA STOMP will celebrate Indian culture at its best in Tampa Bay in an effort to include the locals and tourists alike. The IIFA STOMP party will show gratitude to Tampa and all the local citizens for the warmth and love they have shown in hosting the IIFA Weekend & Awards. Visitors can experience Bollywood music teamed with Bollywood dance and Indian cuisine and handicrafts, that would complement the experience. IIFA Stomp will have specialty food stalls serving both Indian and international cuisines.

Exciting performances by popular Indian and local DJ’s await audiences with DJ Clement, DJ Aman Nagpal and DJ Ravi Drums, among others slated to perform. Having played along music stars like Paula Abdul, Tupac Shekar, Justin Timberlake, the sensational percusionnist DJ Ravi Drums who is slated to perform at the event, has also produced the official Track for IIFA titled ‘Do Da Tampa’. Another highlight of the evening will be the mouth watering Indian cuisine along with some other international flavours put up for sale by a host of stalls at the park. The open-event hopes to encourage as many fans to attend the occasion as possible.
