Monsoon Tips from Designer Amy Billimoria: Come the rains and it is very important to follow special care instructions for all heavy ensembles in your wardrobe.v Never leave the outfits in plastic bags, whether new or if dry leaned as they will leave damp water marks on the fabrics which will be impossible to remove. v Always open saris especially ones with Zari and embroidery as it's important to allow the fabrics to breathe in order to avoid the peculiar damp smell which is very common this season. v Also after opening it is important to cover the outfits in sheer mulmul fabric or old cotton dupattas. This will ensure that the embroidery is not damaged and will increase the life of the garment. v Never put items like clove or other articles to reduce the damp odour in clothes as they will only leave stains and yellow brown spots on the fabrics and will be hard to remove. v Tie Dye saris, shaded fabrics or dark shades that run color should be kept in single covers away from other outfits as they may stain easily. v And lastly if any damage caused due to weather conditions don't discard the beautiful embroideries as transferring these could renew the ensembles and help save fashion waste.

South superstar Thiagarajan to remake Queen in four languages

After making waves the world over with its simplicity of story-telling, amazing direction and stellar performances, the superhit film Queen is ready for its southside sojourn.
Southside legendary superstar Thiagarajan, who has to his kitty nearly a 150 super-successful films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu, as actor-director-producer, has now taken the rights to remake the film in all the four south Indian languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
“Queen touched my heart.  I saw the film, and it stayed on in my heart long after. It is this ability of Queen to relate to audiences irrespective of language and boundary barriers that prompted me to take up the film. We are planning to start work on all the four remakes simultaneously and release them by 2015,” revealed Thiagarajan film who plans a no-costs spared affair with an extensive shoot in Paris, Amsterdam and Spain.
Queen is the journey of Rani on a marriage-less honeymoon that brings out  strength and self-actualisation, making her tale relatable and inspirational, the world over.
Thiagarajan is now on the lookout for the perfect woman with the spark to play the protagonist Rani. “We need an actress who can look serious yet carefree. It is not an easy role to essay, avers Thiagarajan who plans to rope in young blood to direct the film.
He admits that top Bollywood actresses have sent feelers, but he is still to take a call on the lead actress. Thiagarajan is however keen that Lisa Haydon who played Kangana ‘s friend in the original essays the same role in the remakes.
Rumours are rife about Thiagarajan’s son and southside superstar Prashanth playing an integral part of Queen as well. Thiagarajan smiles and says he will let Prashanth take that call. “Currently, Prashanth is busy with a Hindi film besides Sahasam in Tamil. I have ideas to rope him in, but  it is a character with grey shades. I respect actors and their choices and I will let him decide. If not him, then an actor who is on par with him would likely be roped in for the role,” says Thiagarajan who is currently scouting the right locations for his film.
Vikas Bahl, the director of Queen in Hindi is delighted, “Queen is made with a lot of heart and emotions, and I am elated at the  is getting this kind of acceptance across south.”
Adds  Ajit Andhare, chief operation officer, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, “Queen is a universal story. It resonates across cultures. The trend has always been for south Indian films to be adapted in Hindi. We’re proud to have turned the tables, where a Bollywood entertainer will be consumed in the four major south Indian languages by a maker like Thiagarajan.”
Thiagarajan who has taken on the baton from Vikas Bahl is known for his versatility and films that touch your soul. He has acted in over 150 films in various languages, directed 15 projects and produced 20 movies and Queen seems to be a perfect move in the right direction.
