CID team celebrates Independence Day by fighting yet another crime

Nation’s safety has always been the foremost priority for the CID team. ACP Pradyuman, Abhijit and Daya have never left any stone unturned to ensure the nation and its citizens are safe. This Independence Day, Sony Entertainment Television’s CID team will face a challenge like never before as they risk their lives yet again!

The team will be in for a shock when they come to know that a terrorist attack is being planned on the Independence Day Parade in Mumbai. As they start investigating, they find that the information about the attack lies with a person who is completely unaware about it. Not known to take things lying down, the team will get on a train to track the person. What the brave cops don’t know is that amongst the passengers, the criminals are hiding too. Chasing a criminal for the first time in a train, the team is faced with the responsibility of saving the lives of all the passengers. What follows is a journey of hide and seek full of terror and suspense!

Will the criminal be successful in his plan? How will the CID team succeed in nabbing the terrorist in time and save the country yet again?

Disney India and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions announce ‘MOHENJO DARO’ - Film to go on floors in October 2014

Disney India’s Studio business and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Pvt. Ltd (AGPPL) are to collaborate once again on ‘Mohenjo Daro’, after their acclaimed outing together on Jodhaa Akbar. The film will be directed by Ashutosh Gowariker with Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde (introducing) in the lead roles.

Mohenjo Daro, an epic adventure and love story set at the time of the Indus Valley Civilization, will be grand in the sheer magnitude of its scale and design. Like Ashutosh's earlier films  Jodhaa Akbar and Lagaan, two of the most memorable Indian movies of the last two decades, Mohenjo Daro promises to be a big screen must see experience. After Jodhaa Akbar, Mohenjo Daro will be the second film bringing together Hrithik Roshan, Ashutosh Gowariker, AGPPL and the studio.

Commenting on the collaboration producer Sunita Gowariker said, “There has always been a natural creative synergy between UTV and AGPPL in our previous movies. This time through our collaboration with Disney we'll have an even greater focus on entertaining families and to top that off, I’m looking forward to working again with the Disney team.

The Film will go on floors in October 2014 with its first shoot schedule in South Africa.

Better Call Saul: Emmy nominated Breaking Bad gets a spin-off series

Emmy nominated and critically acclaimed television drama series- Breaking Bad currently on air on FX, will see a spin-off titled ‘Better Call Saul’.  Starring Bob Odenkirk, the series is a prequel to Breaking Bad. Based on the evolution of Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) before he became Walter White's (Bryan Cranston) lawyer, the series is set to revolve around Saul’s transformation from the small-time Jimmy into a most infamous criminal attorney. The cast consists of returning favorites including Bob Odenkirk who will reprise his role as shady attorney Saul Goodman,  Jonathan Banks also returns as Mike Erhmantraut. New cast members will include Michael McKean as Saul’s brother, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando and Rhea Seehorn. The show will be set in 2002, approximately six years prior to the beginning of Breaking Bad.

Amit Sadh held up for 6 hours at Los Angeles Airport

It is not uncommon for people from the sub-continent to be detained in Europe and USA at security check, celebrities and politicians alike.  Actor Amit Sadh is the latest victim of this security scrutiny. The actor took off for LA on 9th August,14. As tradition state in India, Amit was carrying quite a few things for family and friends living abroad. One of these gifts was a Kirpan (Knife) that Amit was carrying for his childhood friend. Amit got this Kirpan especially for his friend a few months back, when he was visiting Amritsar as he had specifically asked for it. The Holy Knife was blessed at the revered Golden Temple.

Little did Amit know that his faith shall be tested once he landed. During the baggage check, the Kirpan was found. After some initial questing, the actor was asked to wait while they ‘processed’ his documents. What was supposed to be a routine flight, turned out to be a 6 hour wait at the airport.  Amit could have given away the Kirpan but held onto it and hence his wait at the airport security was so long.

"After the security check, Amit was asked to wait. Later the security officer came and asked him for his passport and his bag. They inspected the bag and removed Kirpan, and they weren't ready to give it back. After a long wait of 6 hrs, and lot of argument finally they let Amit go with the Kirpan" says the official spokesperson

After a very long travel and an equally long wait at the airport the actor was finally let off.

Amitabh Bachchan praises Faisal Khan aka Maharana Pratap!

Sony Entertainment Television’s popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati’s  new season is just a while  away from its telecast. Amidst thousands of admirers the show was shot live for the first ever time in Surat. Mesmerizing viewers with the grandeur and the scale of the show many celebs also performed keeping the entertainment level high through the evening. One such talented actor is young Faisal Khan who performed in his Kunwar Pratap avatar leaving the audiences shocked with his stunts and dancing skills. His performance was highly appreciated by the live audiences.

Though the biggest compliment for Faisal came from the legend himself Mr.Amitabh Bachchan. Faisal who was also rehearsing for his performance in Surat had never met Mr. Bachchan before. But as destiny had it, AB praised the young boy and appreciated his dedication and his work on Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap. Recounting his experience an elated Faisal said, “I had always wanted to meet the great Amitabh Bachchan. But when I saw how busy he was himself with all the preparations and rehearsals for the Surat event, I thought I will not get an opportunity this time. Yet one of the crew members made it possible and once I was in front of him I had no words! Mr. Bachchan appreciated my role as Pratap and also mentioned that he watches my show Maharana Pratap. His blessings mean a lot and I will cherish each and every moment of that day!”
