Finding Fanny collects a cool 28.09 crore in its first week!

Set to have a steady second weekend as the word of mouth is tremendously positive on the film
Homi Adajania's quirky comedy is rock steady at the counters as it collected 28.09 crores in its first week. The film is being hailed as the break-out film of 2014 and it rode on unanimously positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth to register a fantastic week one collection.
The film had taken a flying start in its first weekend as it collected 19.9 crore nett over the weekend in India and 1.6 million dollars from the overseas market. The film then passed the crucial Monday test as it collected 2.5 crore, thereby proving that the audiences had loved the film.
The movie held well at the counters through the week. Here is the break-up -- 1st weekend - 19.9 crore Monday - 2.5 crore Tuesday - 2.07 Wednesday - 1.92 Thursday - 1.7 crores.
Finding Fanny stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah. Presented by Fox Star Studios, the film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.

Humsafars – A unique and unusual love story begins…

 

Sony Entertainment Television’s new show, Humsafars presents a love story of two contrasting individuals. The first episode will give us a glimpse into the lives of Arzoo and Sahir. Living in the beautiful city of Lucknow, Arzoo aspires to become a big fashion designer. Unlike other girls her age, she has many responsibilities and hence decides to go to Mumbai to achieve her dreams. But she is in a dilemma as she comes to know that someone from Mumbai is coming to Lucknow to demolish the dupatta making factory where her mother has been working for the past 15 years. While everyone is scared, Arzoo is confident that she will save the factory. As it turns out, Sahir, the smart businessman from Mumbai comes to Lucknow for this demolition. In a bid to stop the factory , Arzoo lies down in front of the bulldozer. However, in the nick of time the bulldozer malfunctions and doesn’t stop!

Naman Shaw injures himself on the sets of his Tv show “Khushiyon Kii Gullak-Aashi” on Sony Pal.

Talented Tv actor Naman Shaw who is currently been seen essaying the role of Vishesh in Miloni Movie Productions Tv show “Khushiyon kii Gullak-Ashi ” on Sony Pal met with a minor accident on sets while shooting for a scene. Naman was shooting for a sequence in which Vishesh’s past memories hounds him where he was seen with a girl in a warm moment and her brother spots them together.

Thus in a fit of rage, her brother punches on Vishesh’s face. This reel punch turned into a real one. The artist out of excitement punched Naman so hard that he got a swelling on his nose.

Talking about the incident Naman said, “Yes we were shooting for an important sequence where an artist had to punch me for that particular scene. Our director explained him about the sequence but he got very excited and punched me hard on my nose. Luckily I didn’t bleed but got a swelling because of which I had to take a day off. I would say that I’m blessed in disguise as I wanted an off from quite a long time because I was shooting continuously for the show. Though I have got a swelling and I’m in pain but I am still happy as I got a day off”.

Naman is quiet recovered and resumed back shooting after a day’s rest due to the pain. Along with Naman Shaw actors Helly Shah, Abhishek Sharma, Rohitashv Gaur and Nishigandha Wad are also seen in this show.

Khushiyon Ki Gullakh – Aashi is a never-seen-before concept in the history of Indian Television. This feel good show promises to enthral viewers with the story that traces the journey of a simple bubbly and cheerful Aashi (Hally Shah) who adopts new parents in a search of parental love. The concept revolves around the life of 22 year old Aashi, a bubbly cheerful girl who spreads happiness but is a lonely within. Aashi always longed for her parent’s attention and love but they on the other hand have been always busy in pursuing their career and work.

The show is produced by Naren Kumar and Susheel Pandey of Miloni Movies Productions who are known to bring out fresh innovations into Indian entertainment industry, both in Films & Television Serials and the show is being directed by Pratik Shah and written by Bhavna Vyas.

AB’s Karachi Connection

  The legend super star Amitabh Bachchan recently revealed on the sets of his popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati about his Karachi connection. The show which has been an excellent platform for many celebrities to promote their upcoming movies had recently seen Sonam and Fawad Khan joined in the league of promoters.  It is been known that while being on the show, the Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was asked from a curious AB about his Pakistani fans and how different is the cinema there. Once Fawad answered his all queries, AB revealed a secret with everyone that he has Karachi connection. It is known that AB’s grandfather was from Karachi and he had visited that place for the first time with his mother when he was just 2 years old! This thought itself got a big smile on his face.

UNLOCKING THE MUSIC OF HAPPY NEW YEAR

Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd unlocked the Music of their film Happy New Year on Monday, September 15th, 2014 with the director Farah Khan and the cast Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah, music directors Vishal–Shekhar, Lyricist Irshad Kamil, Singers Neeti Mohan, Kanika Kapoor, Sukhwinder Singh, Dr Zeus and the Producers.

TV personalities Rithwik Dhanraj and Kunwar Amar set the mood for the evening by introducing the first act by singer Neeti Mohan where she sang the medley Manwa Laage which was followed by a performance by Shillong Choir. Then singer Sukhwinder Singh sang his song from the film Satakali. To get the momentum going singer Kanika Kapoor and Dr Zeus performed on the most sensual song of the album, Lovely. London based magician Keelan Leyser, added to the awesomeness with his tricks on iPAD, but the clear show-stopper of the evening was the performance of the cast on the song India Waale, which was constantly cheered and whistled to.

“Music plays an important part in my all films. I always think of scenes and sequences keeping songs in mind. The music has always taken the story forward, and more so in HNY because a lot of the story has been told through songs. I have to thank Irshad Bhai (Kamil), Vishal-Shekhar and all the singers for doing a fantastic job. Shah Rukh is a great inspiration for making music because he has great songs down the years. I always go that extra mile for the songs because its picturized on him,” said Farah Khan, Director HNY.

Lyricist Irshad Kamil said, “Working on Happy New Year was a journey of celebration. I want to thank Farah Khan for converting every music sitting into a party. This experience will surely carry on for life as I am still not out of it, though the music is heading for its launch.”
