Penguins of Madagascar Premiere in NY

 

New York was the location of the premiere of PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR held at the Regal Cinemas E-Walk Theater on Sunday (Novembar 16).

In attendance from the film were Benedict Cumberbatch, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong and the voices of the penguins - Tom McGrath, Christopher Knight, Chris Miller and Peter Stormare.  Guests in attendance included Brooke Shields.

Some  celebs along with their families walked  the red carpet as well and enjoyed the post-premiere ice skating party held at the Winter Village at Bryant Park in mid-town Manhattan.The event featured hot chocolate, hot dogs and life size penguins on skates who entertained a gaggle of kids and their parents, including George Stephanopoulos, Mariska Hargitay and Brooke Shields.

The Penguins of Madagascar is a spin-off of the Madagascar films . The series follows the adventures of four penguins: Skipper, Rico, Kowalski, and Private, who perform various paramilitary-like missions to protect their home in the Central Park Zoo. The penguins often have to deal with problems caused, or made worse, by King Julien XIII (a ring-tailed lemur), Maurice (an aye-aye), and Mort (a mouse lemur).

This adventure comedy by Fox Star Studios hits theatres on November 28 in India.

Shemaroo Entertainment Limited extends its relationship with The Orchard

The Orchard to distribute and market Shemaroo’s music catalogue on iTunes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)

 Shemaroo Entertainment Limited, extended its relationship with The Orchard for distributing and marketing Shemaroo’s music catalogue on iTunes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Earlier this year, Shemaroo Entertainment, an established integrated media content house had entered into a strategic alliance with The Orchard, an international distributor of digital content, to distribute its music content in Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The deal allows Orchard to exploit Shemaroo’s music catalogue on more than 100 international digital platforms like iTunes, Spotify, Rhapsody, eMusic, Virgin FR, Amazon Digital Services Inc, Xbox Music, rDio, MediaNet, etc. The vast repertoire of audio includes film, non-film across multiple genre like folk, pop, sufi, qawwalis, kid’s music and Regional music.

In all it means, that the audience far from their home land will no more miss the desi (Indian) music. Not only this, they can also enjoy audio songs in their own local language as a variety of regional music in more than 22 languages including Punjabi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Gujarati and Bengali among others are available on these platforms.

Through this extended relationship with The Orchard, Shemaroo Entertainment will now be able to distribute its content in MENA region as well.

CID team celebrates Children’s Day with Smile Foundation

 

The CID team showcased their soft side when they decided to spend Children’s Day with  underprivileged kids from an NGO called ‘ Smile Foundation’. The team of ACP Pradyuman, Daya, Freddie, Pankaj and Purvi made the day special for the kids as they interacted with them and also cut a cake. Daya addressed the kids and told them about the importance of cleanliness and maintaining a hygienic environment.

Speaking about their visit, Daya said, “It was nice to spend Children’s Day with the kids of Smile Foundation and make their day special in our own way. It gave us immense happiness to see the smile on their faces when we interacted with them. We also gave the kids tips on keep the environment clean. I hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.’

Eros International's LINGAA Audio released with Rajnikanth & Sonakshi Sinha amongst much fan fare!!

 

Rajinikanth starrer 'Lingaa' audio which is available on Eros Music has hit the stores on Sunday,16 November. The music has been launched through a formal function, which was held at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai.

The venue was decked up for the audio release and the "Lingaa" posters were seen everywhere at Sathyam. The function was kick-started on time to guests and media personnel.

A host of big names were present at the audio launch of "Lingaa". Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Shetty, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep, Vikram Prabhu, KS Ravikumar, producer Gnanavel Raja, actor Vijaya Kumar, Santhanam, director Ameer and many others were spotted at the music release function!!

Music Director AR Rahman who could not make it for this grand event recorded a special video dedicated to Team Lingaa and his fans, in the short video clip, the two-time Oscar Award winner said the story has the epic feel to it and was honored to give the music for the film which has Superstar Rajnikanth in it.

Our very own Sonakshi Sinha looked elegant and graceful in a beautiful sari and was given a warm welcome by all the fans present there, she called herself as "Superstar Rajnikanth's heroine for her entry in Tollywood" which every actress can only dream of!!

Eros International's "Lingaa" is Directed by KS Ravikumar and Produced by  Rockline Venkatesh. 

The entire distribution rights have been acquired by Eros International and the film is all set to release on 12th Dec, 2014!!
