Mumbai, 16th April, 2015– The chart-topping and critically acclaimed Fifty Shades of Grey Original Motion Picture Soundtrack [Republic Records] has officially earned a Gold certification by the RIAA for physical and digital sales in excess of 500,000. The album is also seeing incredible global success, reaching Platinum status in France, Poland, Russia and Greece and Gold in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Brazil, Ireland, Austria, Turkey and Taiwan.In addition, the soundtrack has reached #1 on iTunes in sold over 90 countries and has amassed 2.5 million album equivalent sales worldwide in just 7 weeks. The companion album to the Universal Pictures and Focus Features blockbuster, which has brought in nearly 600 million dollars at the global box office since its mid-February release, has solidified itself as the hottest soundtrack of 2015.
In addition to the Gold certification in the US, two tracks from the soundtrack The Weeknd’s “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” and Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” have reached platinum certification. “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” also reached #1 on Spotify this past week. Just prior, it became the “#1 Most Shazamed Song in the World,being Shazamed over 2.3 million times and occupying the Top 5 on the music discovery app for five weeks straight. 
With “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)”, The Weekend grabs his second Hot 100 top 10 and first solo as "Love Me Harder," with Ariana Grande, reached No. 7 in November. The international story is also impressive with “Earned It” certified Platinum in Canada, Sweden, Norway and Holland and Gold in Australia, New Zealand and Denmark while also hitting the Top 5 on iTunes in 68 markets including 35 #1’s. In the UK, it was in the Top 5 at the Official Singles Chart for three consecutive weeks and it has been holding the #1 spot on the Shazam chart for six consecutive weeks. The video for the single is a theatrical event in its own right having been directed by Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson and starring the film’s lead actress Dakota Johnson. Universal Music Group Releases ‘Ship to Wreck’ by Florence + The Machine

Following on from the full-force anthem of uplifting defiance that was ‘What Kind of Man’, the second single to be taken from the forthcoming new album is the future Florence classic ‘Ship To Wreck’. The track premiered as Annie Macs Hottest Record in the World last night.
 On the track Florence explains:
 “I was thinking about my own self destructive side, and how you can make something only to tear it down, enjoy/destroy, create/devastate etc. When you're in that whirlwind, you often end up breaking the thing you love the most”.
 The video for Ship to Wreck airs next week and is uniquely set and filmed in Florence’s very own home.
 Florence is currently in LA preparing to perform on the main stage at Coachella, right before headliner Drake. A far cry from her warm-up secret show at the 400 capacity London venue The Dome last month.
 The new album ‘How Big How Blue How Beautiful’ is a collection of songs, written and recorded over the course of 2014. Produced by Markus Dravs (Björk, Arcade Fire, Coldplay) with contributions from Paul Epworth, Kid Harpoon and John Hill, the third album by Florence + The Machine is live-sounding, tune-rich, unhinged in all the right places and powerful in all the best ways. In voice and, ultimately, outlook Florence has never sounded better.

Hussain wishes he was as talented as Indian Idol Junior contestants when he was their age

Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Junior season 2 is gearing up to sweep its audiences off their feet. The viewers will get to see the very talented Hussain Kuwarjewala anchoring IIJ for the ever first time.
When asked him about his experience, he said “I am very connected with Indian Idol as it’s given me recognition. This is the first time I will be anchoring Indian Idol Junior along with my co-host Asha Negi and it gives me immense pleasure. The kids have taken me by surprise with their talent & I feel there is a lot I can learn from them. It elevates my mood every time I see them perform. As a message to all the viewers, Indian Idol Junior Season 2 is a show not to be missed. We promise to entertain you at our best and you definitely will be amazed to see these kids perform.”
