Eros International announces two new Tamil projects Perai Thedia Natkal & Enkitta Mothathe Expands South strategy for content driven cinema

Eros International, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry recently announced the launch of two new Tamil films to be co-produced with RV Films, namely Perai Thedia Natkal and Enkitta Mothathe which will release by end of the year.

With a move to further enhance its presence in the south through a mix of big ticket releases combined with a strong content driven slate, Eros is looking at encouraging new talent through these ventures. Having previously worked as a writer and creative associate of the critically acclaimedVidiyum Munn and co-director of the forthcoming Yagavarayinum Naa Kakka, Abraham Prabhu will make his directorial debut with Perai Thedia Natkal, a romantic drama starring Ashok Selvan. The remaining cast of the film would be announced soon.

Enkitta Mothanthe is an action drama starring Natarajan Subramaniyam Rajaji, Vijay Murugan and Radha Ravi and will be directed by Ramu Chellappa who has previously worked as assistant director on projects such as Kedi Billa Killadi Renga, Mayakkam Enna and Pasanga etc. WithEnkitta Mothanthe, he makes his debut as director amassing his nine years of experience as an AD. The film was flagged off on 22^nd May 2015 in the presence of the entire cast namely Natraj, Sanchitha Shetty, Radha Ravi and Rajaji along with the director Ramu Chellapa at Velco theatre in Anakaputhur.

Stage set for the Grand Finale of Indian Princess 2015 in Bangkok

The stage is set the participants are putting their best foot forward.and the judges are waiting to pick the best from the lot however there can be just one ‘Indian Princess  2015 ’. 

The grand finale of Indian Princess 2015 is being held in Bangkok in the presence of several Bollywood beauties like Minissha Lamba, Gauhar Khan and Surveen Chawla.   

The local customs has been integrated well during the event. From food, dance and art...one can witness and enjoy Thai culture in every aspect. 

Indian Princess 2015 began its journey this year with participation contestants from countries across the globe. This mega event has not only created waves in the Fashion and Beauty industry in the country but also made a global impact. We are extremely glad to inform you that Indian Princess and Indian Princess International is now a unified Global Beauty Pageant wherein the National and International contestants will be globally competing amongst each other on this Grandeur Mega platform. The contest is conceptualised by Educationist, Entrepreneur and Social Activist, Shri Sunil Rane and is backed by the Atharva Group in association with its Hospitality Division-Blue Ocean Resort & Spa as well as the Entertainment Division-Ashwagandha Entertainment Pvt. The Journey began on 7^th May 2015 where 33 participants from countries like Netherland, Austria and Suriname arrived in Mumbai. A week long training and grooming session was held from 8^th May to 15^th May 2015 at Blueocean Resort & spa. After which, an elimination round will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. A grand finale has been scheduled at Bangkok on 24^th May 2015. 

Thailand Visit: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has actively supported Indian Princess for the international training and grooming of contestants in Thailand since last four years. 

We propose to blend our fashion with Thai fashion and organize a fashion carnival with a combined effort of designers and fashion talent from both countries and explore the tourism during the visit. The pre-finale event on 20^th May 2015 in Bangkok of Indian Princess was a prime attraction during the Thailand visit.

Indian Princess and Indian Princess International is in honour of gallant soldiers who laid down their lives for our country along with a social cause for synchronised education of girl child in the remote area of INDIA.

'Bombairiya is our ode to the city of Mumbai', say British born producer Michael Ward

What happens when a multi talented singer-songwriter, writer and actor dons the director's hat and collaborates with her real life producer husband? The duo come together to create an affectionate satire on the city they love, Mumbai with an uplifting fable-esque storyline. Bombairiya, directed by debutante Pia Sukanya and produced by Indo-British Producer Michael Ward has already caught the industry eyeballs owing to its eclectic casting lead by Radhika Apte, Akshay Oberoi and Siddhanth Kapoor. Keeping this youthful trio company are talented names like Shilpa Shukhla and Ravi Kishan.

Pia Sukanya who has garnered much acclaim as an actor herself as Maria in West Side Story at the Cambridge Arts Theater playing opposite Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne and as Dorothy in the Indian adaptation of the Wizard of Oz, recently found her acting prowess put to good use when owing to a shift in schedules caused by the impending workers strike, she was forced to let go of an actor’s dates. The actor in question was supposed to play the part of Akshay Oberoi’s fiancé and at the last moment Pia was left with the unlikely task of recasting the actor or losing further shoot dates. Unhappy with the last minute options presented to her, Pia decided to take matters into her own hands and play the character herself. 

Laughing about the situation Pia said, “Little did I think I would have to land up directing myself. But film making teaches us how to cope with a new challenge each day. It’s been a wonderful experience shooting Bombairiya so far and as we continue shooting, I anticipate even more challenges. But with the unwavering support of my producer Michael and my brilliant set of actors, every day on set throws up unexpected blessings.”

Producer Michael Ward chipped in saying, “ Pia is a powerful director. Her vision and detailing are very clear. Her casting is spot on. And as has become evident in the recent past, it also helps that she has a whole different set of skills. What’s ironic is that Akshay was one of our witnesses when Pia and I tied the knot last year. Having produced the Far Pavilions for the West End stage at the Shaftsbury Theater for 200 shows and having co-directed Shilpa Shetty's Dansical, Miss Bollywood with Pia, we are not strangers to last minute changes and challenges. 

Bombairiya is our ode to the city of Mumbai, a place full of contradictions and wonderment, a city where anything is possible and like in our film, a city which can bring together strangers, turn them into frenemies and eventually into buddies, all within the space of one day.”
