MSG 2 - The Messenger, Running to packed houses in Mumbai

The film is running to packed houses in Mumbai  with a bumper opening on nearly all screens.
No ban on MSG in Punjab: High Court proceedings pave the way
In the petition moved by Hakikat Entertainment Pvt Ltd against the order of the Deputy Commissioner, Mansa, Punjab; the Deputy Commissioner clarified in the Punjab and Haryana High Court that there was no ban of any sort and the previous circular was sent in error. Hon’ble Justice Paramjeet Singh, who heard the petition, pulled up the administration orally, for passing frivolous orders of restraining the release of MSG 2. The pall of suspicion hanging thereby on the status of MSG 2 release in Punjab has therefore been completely cleared.
In another matter, the Delhi High Court ruled that the MSG 2 film trailer was in no way related to any specific tribe and was a film about aboriginals and hence, there was nothing objectionable in it. The petition opposing MSG was thus dismissed.
MSG 2 the messenger released in cinemas today 18th September.

SPECTRE WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED AS THE CTBF ROYAL FILM PERFORMANCE™

Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that the 24th James Bond adventure, SPECTRE, has been selected for The CTBF’s Royal Film Performance 2015.
The World Premiere will be attended by Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, and will take place on Monday 26th October at The Royal Albert Hall in London.
The CTBF Royal Film Performance is annually held in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), the charity for the UK film, cinema and commercial television industries, dedicated to providing support for those working behind-the-scenes in times of hardship. SPECTRE will be the third Bond film chosen as an RFP title since its inception in 1946.
The World Premiere will also be attended by the film’s leading actors Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, David Bautista, Monica Bellucci, and Ralph Fiennes. The cast will also be joined on the red carpet by director Sam Mendes and producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, vice patrons of the CTBF.
For the first time ever, the film will open on the same night at cinemas across the UK and Ireland. Following the World Premiere and the release in the UK and Ireland, SPECTRE will begin its rollout in territories around the world. The film will release in India on November 20, 2015.
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli commented, “We are honoured that Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will attend the Royal Film Performance of SPECTRE and delighted the CTBF will be the beneficiary of the event.”
The President of the CTBF, Barry Jenkins OBE, commented, “We are absolutely thrilled that the World Premiere of SPECTRE has been selected as The CTBF Royal Film Performance 2015 and are most grateful to the Royal Family for their continued support.”
About “SPECTRE”
A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond (Daniel Craig) on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal.  Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE.
Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), the new head of the Centre for National Security, questions Bond’s actions and challenges the relevance of MI6, led by M (Ralph Fiennes). Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him seek out Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Jesper Christensen), who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. As the daughter of an assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot.
As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz.
Sam Mendes returns to direct SPECTRE, with Daniel Craig reprising his role as 007 for the fourth time. SPECTRE is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.  The screenplay is by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and Jez Butterworth, with a story by John Logan and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade.
SPECTRE is set for release in the UK on October 26, 2015, and in India on November 20, 2015.

Dino Morea: iBhakti.com can be used by NRIs and others to avail temple services from afar

Actor and former model Dino Morea has recently started an e-commerce venture, ‘iBhakti.com’, which offers remote temple services.“In today’s day and age, when everyone is so busy with their lives, that you often hear excuses such as ‘I wish I had the time to visit this temple’, I and my partners thought, ‘Why not bring the temples to the worshipers?’ Technology has practically taken over every single function in our lives, so, we thought there wasn’t a better way to do this,” said Dino. So, what exactly does the website and its accompanying app (of the same name) do? Dino informs, “Worshippers with a hectic schedule or NRIs who can’t frequent India often can visit our website or use the app to avail services being offered by popular Indian temples. This means that you can subscribe to a temple’s ‘aartis’, donate money for puja to be done in your name and then watch the puja being done by the Punditji. The video is sent to your mobile, which you can store for 48 hours and watch as many times as you want. You can also offer a particular ‘prasad’ to the deity, which will then be couriered to your home with a letter from the temple.”So far, Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple, Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath and Mumbai’s Ganesh ‘mandal’ Lalbaughcha Raja are on board. “With Ganesh Chaturthi just around the corner, worshippers of Lord Ganesh can offer prasad through our website or app. In fact, pre-orders have already started pouring in,” added Dino.Dino’s company is also in talks with many other temples such as Ambaji and Dwarka Temple (Gujarat), Turjabhavani Temple (Maharashtra), Mahalaksmi Temple (Maharashtra), Shirdi Temple (Maharashtra), Mansa Devi Temple (Haridwar), Dagdusheth Haiwai (Pune) and Golden Temple (Punjab).Dino is presently looking for good scripts. “No. Acting is my first passion. I haven’t given up on acting. I’ve just become very cautious about the kind of roles I want to play. In the past, I’ve made a couple of mistakes in my career, which I don’t want to repeat. So, I’m just being choosy.”On his long-time dedication for spreading awareness about fitness and healthy living, Dino said, “I’ve been setting up small fitness facilities in Mumbai along the streets. So far, I’ve set up 15 functional training facilities at places such as Marine Drive, Shivaji Park, Bandstand, Thane and so on. I want to spread grassroots awareness about fitness and these 100-square foot facilities are a first step towards that. And, I’m very happy to say that the facilities are always packed with morning or evening walk-goers.”It would seem that the actor has a lot going on! We wish him luck with all his ventures.
