Prakash Jha’s Jai Gangaajal Trailer Impresses Female Cops At The 7th National Conference Of Women In Police

Acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha, who is going to address the dilemma of female cops with his next Jai Gangaajal, was recently invited to address female police officers from across the country at the 7th National Conference Of Women In Police, which was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, at the Central Reserve Police Force Academy, Gurgaon.
The National Award-winning filmmaker was invited to give his opinion on ‘Women in Police, Different Perspective and New Roles’ and his words made a huge impact on everyone, who attended the conference. Professor Amita Singh, Professor and Chairperson at the Centre for Study of Law and Governance, JNU, New Delhi and Ms. Megha Prasad, Bureau Chief, Mumbai Times Now were his co-panelists at the conference.
Priyanka Chopra is playing the role of IPS officer Abha Mathur in Jai Gangaajal and Jha screened the trailer of his much-anticipated film for the female cops at the event. The trailer got an overwhelming response from the female police officers, who cheered and clapped for it.
It was a lively and enthusiastic interaction and at the event, Prakash Jha said, “My film’s lead character Abha Mathur is a tough and righteous cop but she is still feminine and compassionate. Our films need to do a lot more to portray the strong image of women in the police force.”’
So impressed and inspired were the women present, at the conference, with the film’s trailer and Jha’s deep insight into the issue, that they requested him to pose with them for selfies and the filmmaker gladly obliged.
Priyanka is playing a tough cop in Jai Gangaajal, who is introduced into the well-oiled system of the powerful as she is thought to be weak, pliable and easy to manipulate. However, things become difficult for all, when she comes into a confrontational mode.
Written and directed by Prakash Jha, produced by Prakash Jha Productions and Play Entertainment and co-produced by Milind Dabke, Jai Gangaajal revisits the dusty heartland of Central India and examines the society–police relationship. Starring Priyanka Chopra, the movie is all set to release on 4th March, 2016. Jai Gangaajal is not a prequel or a sequel to Ajay Devgn starrer Gangaajal but is a fresh story.

Bollywood Actors Who Could Star In Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure

The makers of Chhota Bheem are gearing up for the release of their next Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure and while the animated characters are loved immensely by kids, if the film would have starred Bollywood celebs, we feel the following actors would have done full justice to the epic characters:
Inline image 1
Chhota Bheem: We feel that Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan will be the apt choice to play the role of Chhota Bheem, thanks to his drool-worthy muscles and philanthropic ways. Salman is a mastikhor with a heart of gold just like Chhota Bheem and his Dabangg persona will make the enemies run away.
Inline image 2
Chutki: We feel that the current reigning queen of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone will be perfect to play the role of Chutki as she has the right amount of spunk and her dimples make her look as cute as the female protagonist of the popular cartoon series.
Inline image 3
Indumati: Indumati is the princess of Dholkapur and we believe that Bollywood’s quintessential fashionista Sonam Kapoor, who played a royalty in her last release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, will be the perfect choice for the role.
Inline image 4
Dholu-Bholu- Kalia's chelas Dholu-Bholu never fail to tickle our funny bone with their silly antics. We believe that the two on-screen brothers - Ramesh and Suresh, who feature in the ad series of a popular chocolate brand, will be able to pull of the role easily.
Inline image 5
Hidimbak: As the antagonist of the upcoming film Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure is the powerful Hidimbak, we think that given his gigantic physique and ability to cake walk through fights, WWE champ Khali will be able to play the role with utmost ease.
Inline image 6
Kalia: There can't be a better choice than actor-choreographer Ganesh Acharya to play the role of Kalia. With his massive built, he looks like somebody, who can easily bully the weak and we feel that with him essaying the role, Kalia can have some elaborate dance numbers too.

Johnny Depp, Will Smith and Matt Damon praise Zubaan at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California!

Director Mozez Singh’s directorial debut Zubaan featuring Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias won accolades when it opened Asia’s biggest film festival, the Busan International Film Festival held last year with director Mozez Singh bagging the Rising Director award. The coming-of-musical recently also played to an overwhelming response amongst the Indian communities of Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver.
The movie produced by Wave Cinema, Guneet Monga and Shaan Vyas of Sikhya Entertainment and Metamozez Entertainment is making waves in the international circuit and had its North American premiere on Sunday (3rd January) at the coveted Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) in California.
It’s indeed a big achievement for the makers to have premiered Zubaan at the PSIFF considering that only Oscar movies are screened there. Interestingly, Mozez got the opportunity to interact with Hollywood star Will Smith who loved the film and appreciated his work. Also, Johnny Depp, who won the Best Actor award for Black Mass also wished Mozez ‘All the best’ along with other Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Cate Blanchett.
Mozez says, “It was a huge honour to have this film screened at the Palm Springs International Film Festival especially since it has long been associated with the Oscars. It was amazing to meet Will Smith there and show him the promo. He loved it and wished us all the luck, a great beginning to what has been an amazing journey this far.”
Producer Guneet Monga adds, “The film is a coming-of-age story. I’ve known Mozez for seven years and love his style of filmmaking. When he narrated the story to me five years ago, it struck me that he had grown. Like his movie protagonist, Mozez had to deal with a stammering problem as a child. Now, watching him deliver acceptance speeches in front of large, international audiences is commendable.”
Vicky, who made his debut with the critically-acclaimed Masaan, was discovered by Mozez for Zubaan.
Produced by Wave Cinema, Guneet Monga and Shaan Vyas of Sikhya Entertainment & Metamozez Entertainment, Zubaan featuring Vicky Kaushal and Sarah Jane Dias is a coming-of-age story of a young man who has a fear of music and is set between Punjab and Delhi.
