Elaborating on the same, Ruhi said, “I have been watching Jaaved sir on the screen since I was a kid and his sense of humour and his wit was so inspiring that as a kid, I had also dreamed of becoming a comedian like him on growing up. He was totally entertaining on the sets and I had a great time working with him.”
Ruhi will be seen playing the daughter of the Prime Minister of India in ‘Ishq Forever’, which also stars Krishna Chaturvedi, Lisa Ray, Zakir Hussain, Arif Zakaria and others. The film is slated to release on February 19.

Ruhi Singh: ‘Shooting for ‘mere ankhon se nikle aansoo’ actually brought tears to my eyes!’

Actress Ruhi Singh, who will be next seen romancing newbie Krishna Chaturvedi in upcoming rom-adventure ‘Ishq Forever’, had quite a tough time shooting for the film due to extreme weather conditions and Ruhi recently shared an amusing anecdote about one of her experiences while shooting a song.
The former beauty queen said with a chuckle, “I remember we were shooting for this song ‘mere ankhon se nikle aansoo’ and I actually had tears in my eyes while shooting this track. Not because it was an emotional moment, but because we were shooting in a place that was hit by a sandstorm and the sand kept hurting our eyes. However, despite this, we were required to give the necessary expressions without blinking and this made us quite teary-eyed!”
‘Ishq Forever’ has been directed by Sameer Sippy and produced by Ajay Shah, Harry Gandhi and Shabeer Boxwala under their banner Friday Cine Entertainment. The film is slated to release on February 19.

Nadeem Saifi: 'We should bring back the Indian flavour in our music'

Legendary composer Nadeem Saifi will be seen making his comeback to Bollywood with upcoming rom-com Ishq Forever and though the composer is glad about the comeback, he also seems quite disappointed with the way Bollywood music is getting influenced by the West.
Elaborating on the same, Nadeem said, "As far as music is concerned, we are completely influenced by the West and there is just a lot of noise in music today. Most of the songs made today lack melody and soul and though there have been a few good numbers, they are far and few. I would request composers and lyricists to bring back our Indian flavor in their work. My song Dheere Dheere has been remade and is cherished even today, which proves that today’s youngsters still enjoy melody and soulful lyrics. I would love it when Western music gets influenced by us and not the other way round."
Directed by Sameer Sippy and produced by Ajay Shah, Himanshu Gandhi and Shabeer Boxwala, Ishq Forever stars newbie Krishna Chaturvedi, Ruhi Singh, Lisa Ray and Jaaved Jaaferi. The film is slated to release on February 19.

QYUKI AND SANAM BAND PARTNER TO CREATE THE LARGEST INDIAN DIGITAL MUSIC SENSATION

~ MONTHLY VIEWS CROSS 11 MILLION WITH 1M+ Fans ~
Fusing their own brand of energy with some incredible melodies, pop boy band SANAM has reached an impressive peak in 2015. The group of 4 consisting of Venky S on bass, Samar Puri on guitars, Keshav Dhanraj on drums and frontman Sanam Puri have become the biggest music sensation in India.

The band’s Youtube channel has surpassed a staggering 11 million views per month and 100 million lifetime views. This clearly puts them on top of the leaderboard not only in terms of Music artists but also across popular genres like comedy. Subscribers to their channel and fans on their Facebook page have also grown aggressively crossing over a million cumulatively.

Qyuki, signed SANAM Band about a year ago and worked closely with them providing technology, media, rights management and production support to help drive the massive surge in growth and fandom for India’s #FAB4.

The journey of the band began in Muscat where they were schoolmates and started jamming together while learning to play their instruments. They soon formed a band and years later were introduced to Keshav Dhanraj who is the drummer for the band, when they moved to Mumbai. With a clear affinity for music and some great chemistry, the boys started creating incredible music together and initially called themselves the SQS Project. Post their participation in a nationwide talent hunt they emerged as winners winning an album release and music videos for their songs Hawa Hawa and Behka. The band soon changed their name to Sanam and with their distinct blend of Omani roots and Indian music their sound is refreshingly different setting them apart from the rest in the Indian Indie music scene. Their renditions of “Gulaabi Aankhen”, “Yeh Vaada Raha” and “Pal Pal Dil ke Pass” have helped introduce some incredible old school melodies to the millennial generation garnering millions of views on each track.

Commenting on their association Samir Bangara, MD and Co – Founder, Qyuki, said, “SANAM’s massive rise in popularity belies myths about what kind of music connects with the youth of Indian origin across the world. We are looking forward to breaking new boundaries with the Indian #Fab4 in the coming year”

Commenting on the partnership with Qyuki, Ben Kurien, Manager of SANAM Band said, “We made the decision to sign with Qyuki after thoroughly studying the market and it has proven to be a very productive association over the last several months. Their focus on music, understanding of what we required and of course the founding team of AR Rahman, Samir Bangara and Shekhar Kapur was a clear differentiator for us”
