EXCLUSIVE: क्या मोहनजोदड़ो आशुतोष गोवारिकर की सबसे छोटी फिल्म है ?

सिनेमाघरों के ठन्डे माहौल में आशुतोष गोवारिकर की  लम्बी फ़िल्में देख कर गर्मी से निजात पाने वाले दर्शकों के लिए निराश करने  वाली खबर है।  आशुतोष गोवारिकर की ह्रितिक रोशन और पूजा हेगड़े के साथ एपिक पीरियड फिल्म मोहनजोदड़ो उनकी अब तक की सबसे कम लम्बाई वाली फिल्म बताई जा रही है  । हालाँकि, आज के लिहाज़ से, जब दो घंटे से भी कम समय की बहुत सी फ़िल्में बनाई जा रही है, मोहनजोदड़ो की ढाई घंटे की लम्बाई कम नहीं है।  लेकिन, मोहनजोदड़ो आशुतोष गोवारिकर की लम्बी लम्बी फ़िल्में बनाने की शोहरत के अनुरूप नहीं बताई जा रही है ।  आशुतोष गोवारिकर की आदत फिल्म की स्क्रिप्टिंग तीन घंटे से ज़्यादा की करने की है।  केवल अभिषेक बच्चन और दीपिका पादुकोण के साथ फिल्म खेले हम जी जान से ही तीन घंटे से कम यानि १६८ मिनट लम्बी थी।  क्या सचमुच मोहनजोदड़ो आशुतोष गोवारिकर की सबसे कम लम्बाई वाली फिल्म है ? आशुतोष गोवारिकर की १५ जून २००१ को रिलीज़ आमिर खान और ग्रेसी सिंह अभिनीत फिल्म लगान २३४ मिनट लम्बी यानि ३ घंटा ५४ मिनट की थी।  शाहरुख़ खान और गायत्री जोशी के साथ फिल्म 'स्वदेस' १९५ मिनट लम्बी यानि ३ घंटा १५ मिनट की थी।  ह्रितिक रोशन और ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन के साथ गोवारिकर की पहली फिल्म जोधा अकबर की लम्बाई भी २१४  ३ घंटा ३४ मिनट थी।  राशि के आधार पर प्रियंका चोपड़ा की १२ भूमिकाओं वाली फिल्म व्हाट्स योर राशि को २१३ मिनट की यानि ३ घंटा ३३ मिनट लम्बी होना ही था।  परन्तु इसके बावजूद निर्देशक आशुतोष गोवारिकर की फिल्म मोहनजोदड़ो को उनकी सबसे कम लम्बाई वाली फिल्म नहीं कहा जा सकता।  आशुतोष गोवारिकर ने बतौर निर्देशक पहली फिल्म दीपक तिजोरी, रवीना टंडन और पूजा भट्ट के साथ पहला नशा बनाई थी।  यह फिल्म १३ अगस्त १९९३ को रिलीज़ हुई थी।  पहला नशा केवल १३० मिनट १९ सेकंड लम्बी यानि दो घंटा १० मिनट १९ सेकंड लम्बी थी। इसके बाद १९९५ में आमिर खान के साथ फिल्म बाज़ी  बनाने से आशुतोष गोवारिकर का लम्बी फ़िल्में बनाने का सिलसिला शुरू हो गया।

Will Shahrukh Khan be Sultan?

A few days ago, we inform you about release date of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film. Last two films of Bhansali were period films. In both films Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were in lead. Now speculation is rife that his third film also a Historical Romance drama film, title Padmavati. There were reports that the director was wooing Shah Rukh Khan for a film. In the last few months there has been a buzz that SRK and Ranveer will do a film for SLB. Padmavati has two protagonists — Raja Ratansen and Sultan Allaudin Khilji, so it’s natural to assume that this film will star Singh and Khan. However, reality is difference from gossips. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is working on two scripts. One will feature Shahrukh Khan and second Ranveer Singh. Now it is confirmed that they will not be part of the same film. Says an insider, “While Padmavati is being pitched as an anti-hero film, it is all about Padmavati, a heroine-centric film. It won’t interest SRK. SLB met Khan on Sunday and the two are in talks for a role. But it’s most likely for another film. Shah Rukh has played an anti-hero many times before. From Bazigaar to Don to Fan. Why would he act in a film that belongs to the leading lady? Also, he has two films to start. Imtiaz Ali’s next as well as Aanand L Rai’s dwarf film. SLB has already announced the release date of Padmavati for next year, which means the shooting should start this year. SRK simply doesn’t have the dates for it.” It means Shahrukh Khan is not going to be Sultan. It’s more likely that Ranveer will do the role. For him, playing the anti hero is something new and exciting. Besides, he’d happily do a heroine-centric film if Deepika is playing the queen. And he has not signed any film apart from Befikre, so he has the dates.

Eros International & Makers of Belaseshe unite to release Bengali film Praktan across India

Superstars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta to come together after over a decade.First Bengali film to have a national and international release on same day 

Following the unprecedented success of Belaseshe, Eros International, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, joins hands with directors Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, the makers of  Belaseshe, once again to release Bengali film Praktan (Former) starring the biggest stars of the Bengali film industry—Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta—across India on May 27. Praktan is the first Bengali film to be released nationally and internationally on same day. 

Directed by Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, the romantic drama that beautifully captures the importance of memories, will bring together Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta after 15 years. The film also stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabitri Chatterjee, Anupam Roy, Anindya Chaterjee among others. The popular singer, lyricist and music director, Anupam Roy, of Piku fame, will be debuting as an actor in this film.Eros anticipates a universal appeal for this film among discerning audiences across India, therefore, apart from Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Pune, the company also plans to release Praktan in newer markets across India.
