The first major International Film & Arts Festival to privilege issues of Animal Welfare & Environmental Issues while showcasing the finest examples of world cinema pertaining to all matters concerning these subjects and all related ideas and philosophies which cinema, both documentary and features, has tried to tackle in the last 100 years.
Early Highlights include 170 plus Film Screenings of top quality World Cinema from over 40 countries over the next two months. With retrospectives and tributes to Werner Herzog, Jean Painleve, David Attenborough, Beatrix Potter & Walt Disney. Issues pertaining to the ‘Stray’, Migration, Animal Welfare & Rights, Environmental Issues and Climate Change dominate the curatorial ideas and philosophies of the Festival.

Shemaroo Entertainment wins “National Awards for Excellence in Digital & Social Media Marketing 2016” for “Best Use of Twitter”

Comedy Premiere League (CPL), One of Shemaroo’s popular social media campaign that became the talk of the town recently got recognised by CMO Asia at an event that was graced by the presence of some of the most renowned brands. Shemaroo Entertainment won the “National Awards for Excellence in Digital & Social Media Marketing 2016” for “Best Use of Twitter”. Hiren Gada, Director, Shemaroo Entertainment shared his thoughts on the occasion, “We are glad that our efforts have been recognised by the industry. We constantly have been working to connect with our audience on as many platforms as possible and address their need of entertainment with through The campaign was initiated around Cricket and was named CPL - Comedy Premiere League. Shemaroo Premiere League’s 1st edition showcased clash of two Superstars – Akshay Kumar & Salman Khan. CPL is a great platform for both the fan bases to cheer and support their favorite stars. Each team had 11  
players and each of the player from the team played his inning with his comical video that was uploaded on YouTube and shared on Twitter. So in all, 2 videos were uploaded each day, one from each of the two teams. All that the fans had to do was to Tweet, Retweet, Favourite and like the YouTube video to support their favourite team. The contest was held on Twitter from 14th April’16 to 24th April’16. Every Retweet would help participant score 4 runs and every Favourite help them earn 2 runs for their favourite stars video. 6 runs would be counted once the video link was liked on Youtube. These 6 runs would add up to the team’s score and not to any individual participant. Participants scored 1 run every time they tweet using our Hashtags #AkshayKeKhiladi and #SalmanKeDabangg. The video link of the  stars would be tweeted with the Hashtag of the team. CPL not only populated more than 46,897 tweets leading to a reach of over 55,063,405 but also mentions went up by 1000% percent on Shemaroo with a total of 21,241 mentions on the handle  CMO Asia, a body that isdedicated to high level knowledge Exchange through Leadership & Networking amongst senior CMOs and brand decision makers across industry segments.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra turns down Spanish show

Shilpa Shetty Kundra dons many hats from being a leading actress of her generation to a successful businesswoman, award winning health author and one of the most loved television personalities.Hence it comes as no surprise that her schedule is choc-o-bloc with her various professional commitments.
The former actress who recently returned to the stage for a live performance after 8 years at IIFA ,also conducted a major masterclass in yoga while in Madrid.
Sources reveal that while in the city, Shilpa was approached by a Spanish lifestyle channel who covered the session to host a show for them on holistic living and yoga.
Shilpa ,however, had to turn down the offer as the shoot dates were clashing with the schedule of her dance reality show in India.
Says the source, “While Shilpa couldn’t take up the offer from the Spanish lifestyle show, she has expressed her interest in shooting for 2 special episodes ,wherein she will talk about the basics of yoga”.​

CANNES AWARD-WINNING Brooke Bond Red Label 6-PACK BAND HAS EPIC SULTAN FINALE!

After bringing glory to India by winning the Cannes Grand Prix Glass Lion at one of the world’s most prestigious awards last week as well as by scoring the country’s only Webby Award, India’s first transgender band, the Brooke Bond Red Label 6-Pack Band is out with its sixth & final single, ‘Raula Paye Gaya’. A collaboration with the king of Sufi, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and star Anushka Sharma, it’s an official salute to Yash Raj Films’ biggest feature film for 2016, Sultan. The song brings to an epic end the journey of the one-of-its-kind band that has been welcomed with open arms and received overwhelming love and acceptance from the world at large. 
After collaborating with Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle and Hrithik Roshan in its music videos; and teaming up with Arjun Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan in other videos, ‘Raula Paye Gaya’ is a dazzling close to the Brooke Bond Red Label 6-Pack Band campaign. The band has broken the barriers of boundaries and borders by bringing on Pakistani maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, for a song that preaches the message of love and of what it takes to be a ‘Sachcha’ or true Sultan. The Brooke Bond Red Label 6-Pack Band has been founded by Y-Films and features music by Shameer Tandon, who is also the project curator. The lyrics of ‘Raula Paye Gaya’ are co-written by Ishteyak Khan, Shrikant Trivedi and Zeest. The band members comprise Asha Jagtap, Bhavika Patil, Chandni Suvarnakar, Fida Khan, Komal Jagtap, Ravina Jagtap. Their music videos can be seen exclusively on  

Ali Fazal's strict Fitness Regime

Ali Fazal who had been busy shooting for his Prakash Raj directorial Tadka starring Nana Patekar,Taapsee Pannu and Shre a Saran tookup a tough fitness regime. Ali made sure to take serious fitness while he was in Goa. He trained himself really hard and got up early in the morning and trained himself for hours to follow his regime. Ali got luckier when his brother Hayat Fazal who is a State Level Badminton player coincidentally came to Goa and helped him with his fitness. Hayat is somebody who trains extensively as he is a sports person. He made Ali follow a strict fitness regime all through the month when he was in Goa which included 8 kms runs and some intensive physical workouts including kickboxing, etc. Ali feels that fitness is something which refreshes the person within and makes the persons charm go to another level. So he made sure before, after or during the shoot whenever he is free to exercise and follow his regime.
