DJ Akbar Sami parties with close friends on the eve of taking Bollywood music to Japan!

As a thirteen year old he was pushed to a console and saved the night by turning DJ. Two and a half decades later DJ Akbar Sami is one of the top DJs of the country revered in his own right.
And now, DJ Akbar Sami gets ready to roll his sounds down on the Japanese, representing India alongside rest of global artistes DJ Tiana Adolpe from Canada, Dj Grant, R&B and Reggae Artist Kele Le Roc DJ T2K all from UK,among others at Emporium Beach festival, Nagoya, Japan. Hence, it was time for celebration at Krishna Tamang's Bora Bora Club, where Dj Akbar Sami and close friends got together on the eve of his departure to Japan. Naved Jaffery with wife Sayeeda Jaffery, Salil Ankola with wife Ria Bannerjee, Ashmit Patel, Manasi Scott, Hanif Hilal, Luke Kenny, Shibani Kashyap, Zulfi Sayed, Kavitta Verma, Aashish Rego, Purva Rana, Dj Suketu, Dj Akhtar, comedian Nitin Mirani among others were seen at the do.
"My performance begins with Vande Mataram and moves on to Bollywood and House music with a soul. Traditionally, Japanese DJs play a heavy, loud and fast music that is very different from what I play. When I had first visited Japan on invitation four years ago for an event, I had been to the most popular clubs and realised that their music was very different from mine. Nevertheless, I stuck to my guns and realised that they love my sound and the Indian tribal funky house music that I played for them. I went on to do three more events on demand. I believe in soul music and the audience becomes one with me!."
Dj Akbar Sami, being one of the pioneering DJs of India, on also has an International following among DJs with his track Jalwa, again one of the pioneering remixes, being played by global DJs.
Interestingly, Rajnikant is very popular for his film Muthu in Japan. Hindi films are being sought for their emotion and soul content in Japan. Audiences here are charmed by emotional drama, song and dance sequences. Besides, Japan is moving to be a bigger market than Australia. Kabir Khan is said to be shooting an Indo-Japanese film. Yashraj is releasing features there and Three Idiots has been an all time hit in Japan. Videos showcasing Japanese dancing to Bollywood songs are going viral while snack companies are opting for bollywood style commercials.
Surely, Bollywood and house music by a revered Indian DJ like
Akbar Sami will have takers in Japan. "Absolutely," agrees DJ Suku Justin Kase. "As a DJ, I know and follow Akbar Sami from the last 20 years, he is one of the best DJs and understands global audiences. Whenever I think of an Indian DJ, I get a little worried about performing in Japan not because of their quality of music but because of their understanding of Japanese audience. Akbar Sami has the pulse of the Japanese audiences and hence I would like him to be the first top performer at the prestigious Emporium Beach Festival."
Avex, Japan's largest music label is the main promoter of the festival. "KnowingAkbar Sami's persona and his seriousness to his craft one might see him lend his music and his face to a popular Japanese film next," enthuses Suku,
Akbar
Sami takes the compliment in his stride, "Bollywood is loud globally and the catchy beats are alluring. From Mauritius to Japan, I feel the love of the audiences. At Sunset Boulevard at a bustling sushi place, I heard audiences loving the songs from Pakeezah and i was told the USP of the place was their selection of Hindi songs. It is sad we run behind EDM while they dance to Shava Shava!"

Urvashi Rautela who shot to the fame shaking legs with Yo Yo Honey Singh in the song 'Love Dose' is just 2 films old but isn't afraid of taking challenges. talking about her character she said "I am playing a virgin ghost in the film who is a 'Pyaasi Chudail' "
