Move over Dubsmash; Bollywood enters Prisma with Alia Bhatt

Bollywood seems to be catching on with the latest app to hit the glam selfie market -- Prisma. This one even beats all those filters on Instagram and converts images into colourfully flashy works of art... flashier than those Salman Khan dance performances with the firang babes in Bigg Boss.
"Prisma is newer than new age. Dramatically flamboyant," says Bollywood's only PR guru Dale Bhagwagar, who put up a greyscale pic of his from the app on Facebook. "A friend from Dubai introduced me to it in the morning and I have been reading up on it all day."
Asked why he put up a greyscale pic inspite of the app giving so many colourful options, the celebrity publicist remarks, "Life is hardly black and white. Its grey; just like most of the stuff in my profession."
Teen sensation Alia Bhatt became the first actress to take the social media by storm with a colourful Prisma pic from Germany on her Instagram. It managed to generate more than two lakh eyeballs with her post, "Living in a painting. The best night ever. Berlin. #ThrowbackTuesday #prisma."
The Moscow Times went a step ahead and Tweeted several versions of a pic of its President Vladimir Putin cuddling a puppy, instead of the typical karate pose. Some people were also found debating about the app uploading the image data on Russian servers.
The Indian Express online edition has gone a step ahead and gave a Prisma touch to a few glam portraits of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal, along with film actresses Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Sunny Leone and Katrina Kaif on Twitter. Gosh!! Politicians, Bollywood, flamboyance and drama. The 'grey' public relations guy (wink) would sure agree to that! After all, he's a master at flashy drama.

Huma Qureshi shifts to a new house

Huma Qureshi and brother Saqib who hail from Delhi are finally realizing their big Bollywood dream and have moved into their very own home in Bandra.
The two who stayed on rent for the last couple of years, will be moving into a sprawling apartment in Bandra after scouting several properties. The actress is personally looking into the interiors of the house with the assistance of her friend (Richa Bahl) as the two aim to create a space which has a modern-meets-boho themed vibe , reflective of Huma's personality.
The interior designer has earlier worked with Kangana Ranaut and is known to marry people's sensibilities into spaces. The two are having a blast designing Huma's house and the actress despite her choc-o-bloc schedule , scouts for artwork and artifacts to do up the house ,apart from sitting on the interiors of the house in her spare time.

Kanika Kapoor spends her day with NGO kids

Singer-composer Kanika Kapoor was spotted having a hearty interaction with the kids at the workshop organised by an NGO in Mumbai.
The versatile and gorgeous singer, who has always been at the forefront of noble causes, is actively involved with the organization that looks after the education of children.
Kanika says, " My association with Pratham NGO goes back a long way. The kids of the NGO never fail to put the biggest smile on my face. And in return, if I can do something for them and bring smile on their faces, I feel blassed."
Being a doting mother of three, Kanika is very fond of kids and interacted with the kids of the NGO at length, discussing their dreams and ambitions and encouraged them to study well.

Vivek Oberoi goes the Johnny Depp way

Johnny Depp floored critics when he not only looked but sounded like a completely different person in the critically acclaimed Black Mass.
Inspired by his prep for the film, Vivek Oberoi here on home turf is going the same way and will be enrolling in a voice modeling and modulation course as homework for his upcoming gangster drama, RAI.
In Rai , the actor who essays the titular role of Muthappa Rai is not only undergoing a supervised physical transformation but is also soon going to train in voice modulation to sound every bit like the gangster turned businessman.
Says a source, " This is a genre and space that audiences love seeing Vivek in and he is going all out to get under the skin of his character. From adopting an all new-challenging fitness regime and disciplined diet, he is also training in voice modulation and accents  since Rai is known for his infamous intimidating south-Indian accent".

Rupali Suri is happy Salman Khan did not apologize

"I always thought Bollywood stays silent during Salman Khan controversies because they fear his bigness. But this opinion changed when I met him at IIFA this year," says actress and fashionista Rupali Suri. "I realized that people do not fear him, they respect him."
Talking about her interview with the Sultan actor for her IIFA green carpet assignment, the Gladrags MegaModel winner recounts, "There was a lot of chirpy frenzy around, but as soon as Salman walked in and stood before me for the interview, all of a sudden, the atmosphere changed. Everyone was quiet, as if waiting for him to begin."
"After the interview, the ambience was again relaxed and industry people continued their other work as if nothing had changed. Salman was still around and being cordial with people. There and then it struck me that it was not fear but immense respect that drove them to silence for the few minutes I conducted the interview."
This realization was overwhelming for Rupali. "This kind of respect comes from his do-gooder image, chilled out nature and of course, the amazing continuing success that Salman commands. Now I understand why Salman did not go about town explaining his stance to the media, or making a show of an apology, when they dragged him in the rape comment controversy. He is so above all such drama."
Rupali is also thrilled with her interview interactions with Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Shiamak Davar, Gulshan Grover, Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. "Hrithik turned out to be a super emotional guy who cares so much for his family, especially his kids."
"Shaimak  Davar who was also my dance teacher when I was in school, is as suave as ever. Bad Man Gulshan Grover is actually a warm, affectionate and very knowledgeable man. Priyanka Chopra is a perfectionist with her quotes while Mr Bhansali and Ranveer share great camaraderie," she recalls.
Rupali will soon be making her big screen debut, playing a key role in director Arun Frank's first feature film 'Dad... Hold My Hand'.
