Jackie Shroff misses a sister on Raksha Bandhan

The otherwise rugged, jovial Jackie Shroff who has this hidden sentimental facet to him, earnestly regrets that he does not have any real-life sister who would have otherwise tied a ‘raakhi’ on his wrist.

In the recently released popular paper-back book ‘R D BurMania - PanchaMemoirs’ authored by well-known senior entertainment journalist Chaitanya Padukone, the macho Jaggu Dada in his fond tribute to Pancham Da confides, “Bhidu, whenever I hear that sentimental retro RDB-composed song, ‘Phoolon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hai, ek hazaaron mein meri behna hai,’ emotionally, meri vaat lagg jaati hai. I am invariably moved to tears."

"Because in real life, I don’t have a sister,” shrugs the suave style-icon; a self-confessed die-hard fan of R.D.Burman and his chartbusting songs. That's sweet. We hope the R.D. song doesn't make our Jaggu Dada over senti every Raksha Bandhan.

Reel life siblings Amita Pathak Sachar & Ayush Khedekar become real life siblings

Celebrities on the sets often end up becoming close pals and the bond that they share remain intact forever. This time too there's an unbreakable bond which has been created between actors Amita Pathak Sachar and Ayush Khedekar on the sets of Hindi movie “Ek Tha Hero”.

These two powerful actors play the role of siblings in reel life and the bond got translated in real life too. Since last year, Amita has been tying 'Rakhi' to Ayush and she will be following the tradition this year too. Amita has become extremely fond of younger Ayush and takes care of him like any elder sister would!

Amita debuted with Haal-e-dil in 2008 after which movies like Aakrosh, Bittoo Boss and Taur Mittran Di followed.  Ayush Khedekar rose to fame with his superlative performance in the internationally acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire. 

Ek Tha Hero is a story about a 11 year old village boy named Jignesh who through his journey full of passion, laughter, joy, tears, inspiration & learning wins several hearts & emerges out to be a real “HERO”.

Hindi film Ek Tha Hero also stars Ashwini Kalsekar, Asrani & Darshan Jariwala.  Produced under the banner of Soni films & Entertainment and Filmdom Studios Pvt ;"Ek The Hero"  is jointly produced by Sachin N Dhakan, Amit Soni, Payal Madiyar & Jayesh Madiyar. R Madhavan celebrates father’s 75th birthday in Chennai

Besides being a versatile actor, R Madhavan is known to be a family man and he likes spending time with his near and dear ones whenever he’s not busy shooting.

Last week, the talented actor flew to Chennai to celebrate his father’s 75^th birthday. Being a doting son, Madhavan along with his wife and kid Vedant flew to Chennai and he plans to stay there for a few more days.

Interestingly, the actor took his father and the rest of their family out for sightseeing including a few temples located near Chennai’s Adyar River. The actor’s family was later joined by other relatives and they all had an extravagant vegetarian lunch.

Madhavan says, “It was great to meet everyone. I always believe that the elders in my family are the reason for my success. So, getting their blessings was one of the best ways to celebrate my dad’s birthday. 

"He has been an inspiration for me, and I like the way he is so comfortable with who he is. I hope I get blessed with the same satisfaction when I’m his age,” Madhavan adds.

Popular digital browser ropes in Manish Paul as brand ambassador
