Harry Baweja screens 'Chaar Sahibzaade' sequel for The Jathedaar Akal Takht, The Golden Temple, Shri Amritsar

After 'Chaar Sahibzaade' released in 2014, director Harry Baweja had reportedly said it took him dozens of trips to Amritsar to secure permission to make the animated film based on the sacrifices of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh.

Now ready with the sequel, he has flown down "Singh Sahib", The Jathedaar Akal Takht, and other key members for a special screening of Chaar Sahibzaade – The Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur. Harry Baweja wants to be reassured that he hasn't missed out any detail in the film or included something that's not in with history. "You have to be careful with history, so it is important to run the film by them. I want everything in sync with facts and no one knows about The Sikh History better than them."

The Jathedaar Akal Takht has watched the movie and lauded the efforts of Harry Baweja for showcasing a huge chapter from the Sikh history and weaving it very well in a 2 hour film!

The sequel releases later this month and Harry Baweja will apply for certification after incorporating suggestions from them. "We didn't want to go to the Censor Board without seeking blessings of the Golden Temple's head priest first," he says.

Music Maestro's Hariharan, Rekha Bharadwaj and Anup Jalota to pay tribute to Jagjit Singh

Tum Bin had set a benchmark for the soulful album which struck a chord with the audience which had an iconic song sung by the legendary singer Jagjit Singh.

Bringing back the legacy, producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anubhav Sinha who have reunited again for 'Tum Bin 2' have decided to pay a tribute to the Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh as he was an important member of the Tum Bin family.

Anikit Tiwari has recreated Jagjit Singh’s iconic number, ‘Koi Fariyaad’, from Tum Bin (2001) which is now titled ‘Teri Fariyaad’. The song has the original voice of Jagjit Singh and Rekha Bhardwaj who has already mesmerized the audience.

And now the makers are organizing a concert on Jagjit Singh’s 5th death anniversary with performances by Rekha Bhardwaj and notable singers like Hariharan, Anup Jalota and Jaswinder Singh.

Tum Bin 2, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Anubhav Sinha releases on November 18.

Complimentary invites for the Tum Bin 2 Jagjit Singh concert, which will be held on October 10 at Rang Sharda Auditorium (Bandra West) from 7.30 pm, is available on a first-come first-served basis today and tomorrow at the venue from 11 am to 6 pm.

‘2016 - The End’ gets U/A certificate

Upcoming film '2016 – The End', has received clearance from the Censor Board and got a U/A certificate. "I am pleasantly surprised & really happy that the film was passed without even a single cut by the censor board & got a U/A certificate. This is a family film & I am excited that the audiences will get to see the film as I have made it without any omission. I am thankful to the Censor Board Reviewing Committee." Jaideep Chopra, Director, said in a statement.

2016 – THE END is a story about four young friends – Sunny, Asse, Rahul and Sheetal. Though they all come from respectable families they are still unhappy with their lives and hope their dreams come true. Accidentally they read a news about the world coming to an end in the next 7 days, which scares them and they decide to at least live their lives to the fullest for the next 7 days. After partying one night, they wake up to find themselves in possession with a stolen Mercedes & 1 Crore rupees.
