Director Sujoy Ghosh and powerhouse performer Vidya Balan , recently teamed up to recreate the magic of Kahaani , with the second installment of the thriller franchise Kahaani 2 : Durga Rani Singh .

While Kahaani went on to become the sleeper hit of 2012, the team is back with another haunting thriller , which released nationwide today.Going by the early reviews , Kahaani 2 , lived up to its expectations with the critics and trade raving about the film and calling it a definite “must watch”.

Talkie portion of Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Khaidi No 150' wrapped up

The most-awaited comeback film of Megastar Chiranjeevi, Khaidi No 150 is in its last leg of shoot. The film which is being helmed by Dynamic director V V Vinayak has completed the shoot of its talkie part,except for some patch work. 

Proudly produced under the Konidela Production Company banner, Producer Ram Charan informed that the talkie part has been successfully wrapped up and the team is currently rolling the last song of the movie in Ramoji Film City.

With great production values and renowned technicians on board,  the film has shaped up at a brisk pace. A Mass number composed by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is being filmed on Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal in the choreography of Shekar Master, in a hugely erected Moulin Rouge themed set in Hyderabad. 

Meanwhile, the team has equal pace at post-production work so as to be able to smoothly release the film for  Sankranthi. Teaser and Audio release details will be announced very soon.

Even before the film was announced, the film has received a great deal of attention since it is the most anticipated come back film of Megastar Chiranjeevi and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the final product extremely appealing.

The recently released posters, which unveiled Chiranjeevi's look completely, has left not just mega fans but also the regular audience hooked to check out the film. If the first look motion poster had generated a buzz, the unveiling posters did manage a storm of sorts.

SPOTIFY'S YEAR-END LISTS ANNOUNCED WITH DRAKE, JUSTIN BEIBER AND RIHANNA AT THE TOP

As we enter the final month of the year 2016, Spotify announced its year-end lists of the streaming service most popular acts. Rapper Drake, singing sensation Justin Beiber and Rihanna topped this year’s list as they saw tremendous success over the course of 2016.

Amongst them, Drake’s record smashing hits saw major popularity across U.S. and international charts gaining the top spots for - top artists, most streamed male artists, most streamed tracks with "One Dance (feat. WizKid and Kyla)" and most streamed albums with Views. This is the second year in a row that Drake has received the most streamed artist with more than 4.7 billion streams -- more than double the 1.8 billion last year. Drake is the most streamed artist of all time on Spotify with over 8.7 billion streams. Bieber and Rihanna too rank second and third on both the international top artists list and the most streamed albums list.

The Weeknd as well is placed in the top 5 list of most streamed album of 2016 after a week of its release.

Vazandar shines outside India too

After earning the appreciation of viewers in Maharashtra and other parts of India, Landmarc Film’s Marathi movie ‘Vazandar’ produced by Vidhi Kasliwal is winning hearts in USA as well. At a time when the concept of beauty revolves around how slim and trim you are, this film by Sachin Kundalkar breaks away from norms. It tells you to love yourself the way you are. It also questions societal stereotypes about being fit. Ultimately, being fit is a state of feeling good about your body and not about fitting into size moulds that society has created.The movie was screened in Bay Area and Chicago recently and on popular demand, more shows have been organised at Denver, Detroit, Seattle, Los Angeles, Columbus, Hudson and Dallas. A similar screening was held in Qatar and it got a great response there as well.For Vazandar, Sai Tamhankar and Priya Bapat put in a lot of effort. In fact, while actresses are told to lose weight for roles usually, Sai and Priya needed to put on and they happily did. Also, after the shoot was done, they shed all the gained weight. Apart from this, their acting skills have received rave reviews. Chirag Patil, Chetan Chitnis and Siddharth Chandekar also feature in pivotal roles in Vazandar.The music of the movie has also been appreciated. All in all this is a film that reiterates the power of regional cinema and its global reach. This is one film that is true to its title - 'Vazandar'.

John Abraham surprises his football team in Guwahati

Actor-entrepreneur John Abraham , who is also the owner of North East United( his football team) was recently in Guwahati , Assam to meet with the players and supervise their training.

While in Guwahati, John also organized a special screening of his recent release Force 2 for the players and the team’s management.

Since the actor was caught up with the promotions of the action-entertainer , he didn’t have the time to meet with the team and immediately flew down to Assam ,post the release. He also organized a special screening of Force 2 for them ,since his players earlier expressed interest in watching the film.

Says a source, “John has always been extremely passionate about sports, especially football and having sharp foresight placed his bets on a football team from the North East part of the country. He has always maintained a fine balance between his professional commitments and immediately flew to Guwahati to meet his team as he was busy with the promotions of the film. He visits them often to boost their morale and has also roped in a famed Brazilian coach to train them.This time around he surprised the players and the management with a special screening of the film”.
