GRAND OPENING OF 5th DELHI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AT CONNAUGHT PLACE

The grand Opening Ceremony of the 5^th Delhi International Film Festival took place at the Central Park, Connaught Place by lighting the lamp by H.E Nadir Patel (Ambassador of Canada High Commission).  The event was graced by many big personalities from acting and political background including Mr. Satish Upadhyay (Former President, Delhi BJP), Naresh Kumar (Chairman, NDMC) who were welcomed by Ramkishore Parcha (The director of DIFF). Hosted by actor and model Harsh Nagar, the event saw amazing dance performances and the voice of India contestant Sargam created a musical environment by singing songs from 90’s.

The opening film of the festival was ‘Cherry Letters’ - a movie by the Lady Director from Syria Sulaf Sulaf fawakherji which was screened at the Central park, C.P. The story of the film revolves around lovers who although from the same country get separated when the country is divided. Pakistani actor Meera Ali and Begum Nawazish Ali were also spotted at the event.

5th Delhi International Film Festival 2016 is a bit different this time owing to the fact that Iranian Actress Niusha Zeighami will receive the Special Honor from DIFF and Russian Actress of Mera Naam Joker fame Kseniya Ryabinkina will be honoured with the Minar -e- Dilli. Mani Rathnam will receive the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.

The specialty in this year's edition is that Arab Cinema is in focus and Canada is the festival's Country Partner. The festival will showcase 200 films from 63 countries. . A host of categories which include World Cinema, Indian Showcase, NRI Cinema and Cinema across the Border make the festival unique. Another important aspect is that for the last 4 years DIFF has been standing on its feet owing to its continued efforts. DIFF has also been instrumental in bringing film festivals to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan.

This is the first ever time that Delhi was associated with film festivals in many countries and the Life time achievement Award was given outside the Country.  Although it is not easy to make films in Arabian countries like Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, which are war ridden, people are making meaningful films and also are fighting terrorism and war courageously. Among the films selected for the festival are actress and Director Sulaf Fawakherji's film Cherry Letters From Syria, Palestine Stereo by director Rashid Masharawi, from Palestine, The Silence of the Sheperd by Raad Mushatat from Iraq, such films which tell tales of cruel times prevalent there, terrorism and contradictions, also talk about possibilities. This year one of the attractions is a film by Kuwaiti Director Ramadan Khasrouh's Habib Al Ard. 

The NRI Cinema category of DIFF is another special one which has seen participation of almost 15 films from both short and feature length films. Also important are categories like Cinema across the Border. This year also showcases films especially from the North Eastern States of India like Manipur, Arunachal and Meghalaya.

The weeklong festival will be held from the 3rd to 9th December, 2016 at NDMC centre, Connaught Place where the entry is free for the public.

First Online Singing Competition in the History of India

The First Free Online Singing Competition in the history of India has  been launched recently by Sakha Cultural Society. Singers from any city of the world and of any age group (from 3 years to 100 years) can participate in this totally free competition sitting at home by just uploading their voices on Sakha’s website www.sakha.co.in .Speaking on the occasion Mr Amarjit Singh Kohli, founder Chairman of Sakha Cultural Society, said that top singers will get chance to sing in TV Serial “Geet Jo Ban Gaye Meet” which is expected to begin on Sony TV in early 2017. He explained that he himself is the Chief Adviser of RK Telefilms who are producing this TV Serial for Sony TV, and has been asked by RK Telefilms to select singers on their behalf. Also many singers will get chance to sing in TV Serial “The Live Studio” beginning in February 2017 which is being produced by Yesudas BC, Managing Partner of Spectral Media and producer-director of forthcoming Hindi feature film “30 Minutes”.Explaining the idea behind the launching of Online Singing Competition, Mr Amarjit Singh Kohli said “ I had seen that in the preliminary auditions held by various TV Channels like Sony, Zee in various towns for selecting singers, the singers have to stand in long queues waiting for their turn for as much as 6-8 hours”. Therefore, the idea struck me to start an online competition through which singers can record their voices sitting at home and upload without any hassels. Singers voices will be evaluated by top music personalities of India as judges and singers shortlisted for participating in  Musical Shows on TV Channels. He said that he was the first person in India to start the tradition of organizing All India Stage Singing Competitions in memories of great singers like Rafi, Mukesh and later Kishore about 35 years ago, which led to the discovery of many great singers including Sonu Nigam. “My idea is now to have a tie-up with various producers of Musical TV Shows, Telefilms etc wherein Sakha Cultural Society selects the singers through online competitions for their TV Shows. The Singing Competition has already started and the last date for participating is Friday, the 16th December, 2016. बॉलीवुड की बीच बॉडी !

९ दिसम्बर को रिलीज़ होने जा रही यशराज बैनर की फिल्म बेफिक्रे में निर्देशक आदित्य चोपड़ा की अब तक की फिल्मों से बिलकुल अलग सेक्सी दृश्यों की भरमार है।  रणवीर सिंह लगभग हर सीन में वाणी कपूर के साथ किसिंग और स्मूचिंग करते दिखाई दे रहे हैं।  वाणी कपूर का अंदाज़ भी बड़ा बेफिक्र है।  वह छोटे कपड़ों में नज़र आती हैं।  पेरिस के समुद्र के किनारे वह टू पीस बिकिनी में इठलाती और रिझाती दिखाई पड़ती हैं।  पेरिस के 'सी बीच' पर वाणी कपूर की बिकिनी बॉडी देख कर सवाल पैदा होता है कि क्या वाणी कपूर सचमुच ऎसी 'बीच बॉडी' वाली एक्ट्रेस हैं कि समुद्र का रोमांस गहरा जाये ?
'बीच बॉडी' वाली शर्लीन, मलाइका और नेहा

कोई एक्ट्रेस हिट है या फ्लॉप है, मायने नहीं रखता।  बीच बॉडी का पैमाना हिट या फ्लॉप फ़िल्में नहीं।  ज़रूरी नहीं कि कोई हिट एक्ट्रेस जलपरी जैसी नज़र आये।  यह भी ज़रूरी नहीं कि हर बीच बॉडी वाली एक्ट्रेस हिंदी फिल्मों  की नायिका हो और सफलता उसके कदमों को चूमती हो।  बीच बॉडी को ऎसी क़द्र की दरकार भी नहीं।

ऎसी तमाम एक्ट्रेस हैं जो संतुलित देह रखती हो, उन पर बिकिनी बेहद फबती हो, वह समुद्र के किनारे खडी

होती  हों, तो समुद्र में ज्वार आ जाता हो, लेकिन हिंदी फ़िल्में उन्हें नकार चुकती हैं।  प्लेबॉय की न्यूड गर्ल

शर्लीन चोपड़ा ऐसा उदाहरण हैं।  वह हॉलीवुड की फिल्म कामसूत्र ३ड़ी की नायिका इसीलिए बन पाती हैं कि  नकी देह कामुक है।  यही शर्लीन चोपड़ा ने २००५ में टाइमपास फिल्म में समुद्र के किनारे अपनी बीच बॉडी का प्रदर्शन किया था। उनके संतुलित नितम्ब पर्याप्त उत्तेजक थे।  यह सिलसिला दोस्ती : फ्रेंड्स फॉरएवर, जवानी दीवानी, नॉटी बॉय, आदि फिल्मों तक चला।  पर बीच बॉडी के बावजूद शर्लीन चोपड़ा सफल नहीं हो सकी। आकर्षक नितंबों के लिहाज़ से हिंदी फिल्मों की आइटम गर्ल मलाइका अरोड़ा खान भी पीछे नहीं।  ध्यान रहे कि मलाइका अरोड़ा किसी भी फिल्म में सोलो नायिका नहीं बनी। चल छइयां छइयां से लेकर मुन्नी बदनाम हुई तक मलाइका अरोड़ा की शोहरत आइटम गर्ल की है।  वह उत्तेजक आइटम गर्ल हैं, क्योंकि

उनकी बॉडी ख़ास तौर पर नितम्ब आकर्षक और उत्तेजक हैं।  जब वह इन्हें थिरकाती हैं, दर्शक  निहाल हो जाते हैं।  ज़ाहिर है कि सुडौल शरीर यानि बिकिनी बॉडी के बावजूद शर्लीन चोपड़ा और मलाइका अरोड़ा खान को हिंदी फिल्मों की नायिका बनाने में सफलता नहीं मिली।  कुछ ऐसा ही नेहा धूपिया के बारे में भी कहा जा सकता है।  हालाँकि पूर्व मिस इंडिया नेहा धूपिया  ने अपनी पहली हिंदी फिल्म क़यामत : सिटी अंडर थ्रेट में जेम्स बांड फिल्म की उर्सुला एंड्रेस की तरह टू पीस बिकिनी में समुद्र से निकल कर अपनी बीच बॉडी एक्ट्रेस होने का सबूत दिया था।  उन्हें सेक्सी फिल्म जूली से पहचान मिली।  लेकिन, तीन दर्जन से ज़्यादा फिल्मों के बावजूद वह हिंदी फिल्मों की नायिका के बतौर स्थापित नहीं हो पाई।
बीच, बिकिनी और बीच बॉडी की 'धूम' 

यशराज बैनर ने जब संजय गढवी को निर्देशन की कमान सौंप कर धूम (२००४) निर्माण किया था, तब उन्हें खुद भी अपनी फिल्म के बॉक्स ऑफिस पर ऎसी धूम मचाने का एहसास नहीं था कि धूम सीरीज का सिलसिला चल निकलेगा और सीरीज की फिल्मों में हृथिक रोशन, ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन, बिपाशा बासु, आमिर खान और कैटरिना कैफ जैसे बॉलीवुड सितारे काम करने के लिए बेकरार नज़र आएंगे। अभिषेक बच्चन और

उदय चोपड़ा के साथ पहली धूम के बुरे नायक जॉन अब्राहम थे।  तेज़ रफ़्तार बाइक का जलवा था।  लेकिन, समुद्र में नहाती एशा देओल के बिकिनी सीन ने धूम मचा दी थी।  लेकिन, धूम से एशा देओल बीच बेब साबित नहीं होती थी।  दर्शकों में बिकिनी पहने एशा को देखने की उत्तेजना देओल खानदान की रोकटोक के किस्से के कारण ज़्यादा थी । मगर चोपड़ाओं को धूम सीरीज  बाकी फिल्मों के लिए बिकिनी फार्मूला मिल चूका था।  ज़रुरत बिकिनी बेब्स की थी।  धूम २ में हृथिक रोशन, अभिषेक बच्चन और उदय चोपड़ा के साथ ऐश्वर्या राय

बच्चन और  बिपाशा बासु (दोहरी भूमिका में)  जैसी बीच बॉडी गर्ल्स को लिया गया।   बिपाशा बासु तो दक्षिण अफ्रीकी समुद्र में आग लगा रही थी।  यह सिलसिला धूम ३ में कैटरिना कैफ तक चल निकला। ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन मिस वर्ल्ड रही हैं।  इस प्रतियोगिता में एक प्रतियोगिता समुद्र के किनारे की बिकिनी में भी होती है। लेकिन, बिकिनी, बीच और बीच बॉडी के लिहाज़ से बिपाशा बासु का उपयोग किया गया था।  मॉडल होने के कारण बिपाशा बासु और कैटरिना कैफ के शरीर को भी बीच बॉडी होना ही चाहिए था।

चोपड़ाओं और करण जौहर की फिल्मों का फॉर्मेट ऐसा होता है कि उनकी फिल्मों की नायिका को हॉट दिखने के लिए बिकिनी पहनना लाजिमी हो जाता है। समुद्र किनारे के दृश्य इफरात में होते हैं।  ऐसे दृश्यों के लिए बीच बॉडी ज़रूरी है।  करण जौहर ने अपनी फिल्म दोस्ताना में प्रियंका चोपड़ा को देसी गर्ल बना दिया।  वह मिस वर्ल्ड होने के नाते परफेक्ट बॉडी शेप वाली एक्ट्रेस हैं।  उन पर समुद्र के किनारे, टू-पीस बिकिनी में सीन फिल्माना दर्शकों को आकर्षित करने वाला होता है।  प्रियंका चोपड़ा ने अपनी तमाम फिल्मों और यहाँ तक कि म्यूजिक वीडियो में भी अपने परफेक्ट बीच बॉडी का प्रदर्शन किया था। सीरियल क़्वान्टिको में समुद्र के किनारे बिकिनी पहन कर घूमने वाली प्रियंका चोपड़ा के  हॉलीवुड फिल्म बेवॉच में भी समुद्र के

किनारे बिकिनी वाले दृश्य दिखाई दे सकते हैं। देसी गर्ल प्रियंका चोपड़ा की मौजूदगी में भी अभिनेत्री शिल्पा शेट्टी को एक गीत शटअप एंड बाउंस के लिए लिया गया था।  इस गीत में समुद्र के किनारे टू पीस बिकिनी में शिल्पा शेट्टी परफेक्ट बीच बॉडी गर्ल लग रही थी।  यशराज बैनर की विजय कृष्ण आचार्य निर्देशित फिल्म टशन के लिए तो करीना कपूर ने खुद को साइज जीरो का बना लिया।  ताकि, उनकी बॉडी परफेक्ट बीच बॉडी बन सके और वह बिकिनी पहन सकें।  इसके लिए करीना कपूर ने खुद के वजन को काफी घटाया और डाइट प्लान कर संतुलित बनाया।
बीच बॉडी की हसीनाएं 

आकर्षक नितम्ब और उतार चढ़ाव वाले शरीर के लिहाज़ से हिंदी फ़िल्में मालामाल हैं।  दीपिका पादुकोण को कभी भी बिकिनी पहना कर समुद्र के किनारे घुमाया जा सकता है।  वह अपनी बचना ऐ हसीनों, हाउसफुल, देसी बॉयज, कॉकटेल, रेस २ आदि कई फिल्मों में समुद्र के किनारे लेट, बैठ या टहल कर अपनी बीच बॉडी का

प्रदर्शन कर चुकी है।  हॉलीवुड फिल्म ट्रिपल एक्स : रिटर्न ऑफ़ जेंडर केज में उन्होंने जम कर अपने बिकिनी से झांकते नितंबों का प्रदर्शन किया है।  इलियाना डिक्रुज़, जैक्विलिन फ़र्नान्डिस, नर्गिस फाखरी, डायना पेंटी, आलिया भट्ट, श्रद्धा कपूर, अदिति राव हैदरी, आदि हिंदी फिल्म अभिनेत्रियों ने रूपहले परदे पर कभी न कभी अपनी सुती हुई देह का प्रदर्शन किया है।  हालाँकि, फिल्म बागी में समुद्र के बीच टू पीस बिकिनी में श्रद्धा कपूर और समुद्र के रेतीले किनारे पर टू पीस बिकिनी में टहलती आलिया भट्ट की चर्चा हुई।  लेकिन, इन दोनों ही अभिनेत्रियों को बीच बॉडी वाली हसीनाएं नहीं कहा जा सकता।  इस लिहाज़ से इन पर नर्गिस फाखरी भी भारी हैं।  हालाँकि, नर्गिस उतनी सफल नहीं हैं।

रखती हैं।  वह बाबा रामदेव की चेली हैं।  उनकी भी डीवीडी जारी की जा चुकी है।  नेहा धूपिया की अवार्ड्स समारोह में पूछ उनकी फिल्मों से नहीं, बल्कि आकर्षक नितंबों के कारण होती है।  खबर तो यह भी है कि उन्होंने अपने नितम्बो का बीमा करा रखा है। कैटरिना कैफ और दीपिका पादुकोण नियमित जिम जा कर खुद को फिट  रखती हैं।  यह सभी अभिनेत्रियां डाइट प्लान करती हैं। उनकी अनुशासित ज़िन्दगी उन्हें समुद्र की रेत पर निखरता मोती बनाती हैं।

“We didn’t want to sexualize Jyn”- Actress Felicity Jones speaks on equal pay, feminism and Rogue One

Rogue One star Felicity Jones is opening up about feminism and the joy of getting to play a female character “who’s not just thinking about [romantic] relationships,” in Star Wars: Rogue One. The actress got candid about the rarity of “full-sided” female characters in film, and her experience playing resistance fighter Jyn Erso in the new standalone Star Wars film.

 “I’ve always been a feminist, and what I love in my work is being able to explore a full-sided woman and not patronize her,” she says. “Particularly with Jyn, it’s such a rare opportunity to be able to play a female who’s not just thinking about [romantic] relationships.”

The actress credits her mother for teaching her early on that a woman should not be defined by her looks.

“My mother was in the kind of late-‘60s, early-‘70s origins of female emancipation,” said the Theory of Everything star. “And she was very much like, ‘You’re not going to be defined by how you look. It’s going to be about who you are and what you do.’”

 “Everyone wanted to create a character that was not in any way objectified,” said Jones. “We didn’t want to sexualize Jyn… We don’t even see Jyn’s arms! That’s not her priority. She’s a survivor, and she has a mission to complete.”

The 33-year-old British actress is also the latest actress to speak openly about the problem, following the likes of Jennifer Lawrence.

"I want to be paid fairly for the work that I'm doing," Jones told while promoting Rogue One

"That's what every single woman around the world wants," she said. "We want to be paid on parity with a man in a similar position. And I think it's important to talk about it."

RAKESH ROSHAN : WHY KAABIL WILL RELEASE AT 6 PM ON JANUARY 25

Producer Rakesh Roshan who's next film top lining superstar Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam will release on Wednesday January 25. It is a normal trade practice to release films on Fridays.  However in this case, Rakesh who is extremely confident of the content has been requested by his distributors to go in for a Wednesday 6 pm release because this way they can encash on the Republic Day(January 26) holiday.Says he, ``There have been instances in the past of movies being released mid-week especially if there is a big National holiday following it.  My director Sanjay Gupta and I are in agreement on this.  After hearing what our distributors have to say, we thought it makes perfect sense go with a January 25 release.''
