Tara Sharma Saluja to represent India at the ‘P&G Global Brand Summit’ in Dubai

Tara Sharma Saluja has recently been approached by P&G (an American multinational consumer goods company) to be part of a panel discussion at the prestigious ‘P&G Global Brand Summit’ in Dubai representing India.

The renowned actress-entrepreneur and mother of two has been successfully creating, writing, co producing and hosting the four editions of her multi platform celebrity and non celebrity talk show, ‘The Tara Sharma Show’ – a platform to discuss topical family, parenting, women’s and children’s issues with a view to helping bring about a positive change. Considering the show’s success, Tara is the chosen one (from India) among the selected influencers from different countries.

It has been six years since Tara first started the show and it has grown into one of India's most trusted family and parenting platforms.

Tara says, “I am honoured, humbled and flattered to have been selected, thanks to my show by P&G as a key influencer from India for their global brand summit in Dubai. I have been asked to be on a panel of key influencers from different parts of the world to speak to senior marketing executives about how I have created my multi platform show The Tara Sharma Show and how I have garnered a cumulative following across all my platforms of about 8 million organically and built a trusted brand.”

“I am passionate about creating, writing, co-producing and hosting my show and I do it without expecting awards or rewards so when one of the biggest companies in the world acknowledges what I am doing it is very gratifying. I co-produce my show with my husband Roopak's company Sooperfly and we are soon going into Season 5 on Star World and our show YouTube Channel. I hope Season 5 and the event are a success and I do it all justice,” she adds.

INDIAN IDOL FAME KAPIL AND SOURABEE TIE A KNOT

Dehradun’s Gorkha’s  pride Kapil Thapa, Indian Idol Season Four Runner up tied a knot with Indian Idol Winner of same season and Tripura’s pride Sourabee Deb Barman .Both having a long love saga from the Indian Idol 2008-2009 got wed locked on November 24, 2016  at Agartala in Tripura.Today  the bride groom who is  a Dooniite   Kapil Thapa hosted  reception in Naya Gaon in Dehradun  .They are one of the famous couples to be produced from a reality TV show. Both have travelled around the world on various show’s. Sourabee ,who was first women winner of Indian idol after her title has acted in regional films and also released her Two albums ‘Mehrbaan’ and ‘Fariyadein’. She also has Guinness Book World record for singing hanging upside down.

Kapil on his part has sung as play back singer for movies as well released his Nepali Album titled Ídols’.Various showtime personalities, fellow singers and local politicians graced the occasion .  

Nawazuddin Siddiqui confirmed to play the lead Sultana Daku in British production

London-based Beautiful Bay Entertainment production house has roped in Nawazuddin Siddiqui for its upcoming project ‘The Confession of Sultana Daku’. The British production is an adaptation of the book written by Sujit Saraf, set in pre-Independence India, on the life of the notorious UP dacoit legend Sultana. The film is to be directed by Heeraz Marfatia, who has assisted filmmakers such as Shekhar Kapur and the Oscar-winning Roland Joffe.Interestingly, one of Sultana Daku's stomping grounds was Muzaffarnagar, where Nawazuddin Siddiqui spent his growing up years. “Nawaz has lived and dreamed the stories of Sultana Daku since he was a child. In a way, he has been preparing to play this character his entire life without even knowing it,” says director Heeraz Marfatia.Nawazuddin is equally excited about portraying the historic character of Sultana Daku in this British Production. The actor shares, “Kids today have super heroes they look up to and Sultana was a super hero to me. On dark winter nights when my family would be snug under a warm razai, with candle being the only source of light and the threat of modern dacoits in my village, Sultana would come to life in my father's stories as the real Daku. Unlike these criminals who terrorised us, Sultana always took a stand.” The film is written by Shubra Swarup, who has worked with industry aces like Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Mansoor Khan and Shekhar Kapur. Produced by Colin Burrows and Michael Ward, ‘The Confession of Sultana Daku’ will be shot extensively in real locations, in Sultana's actual milieu.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan supports her Dance Teacher- Inaugurates The 49th World Congress of Dance

Dadar-Mumbai Section of CID affiliated with The International Dance Council put together the 49th World Congress of Dance ‘Linking World Through Dance’ that is being held at the Sahara Star, Mumbai from the 7th of December, 2016 to the 11th of December, 2016.It is the first time that the World Congress of Dance is being held in India and the opening ceremony of the prestigious event was graced by eminent personalities as chief guests namely Mrs. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who was a student of Lata Surendra (Section President), Prof. Mr. Alkis Raftis (President of the International Dance Council) and Dr. Mr. Constantin Kontogiannis (Vice president, Paris Section CID to kick-start this dance festival. The evening also showcased some beautiful performances by celebrated choreographers and their teams like Sandip Soparrkar with Super Model Alesia Raut and Ashley Lobo’s Navdhara India Dance Theatre. Aishwarya was overwhelmed to be there for her guru Lata Surendra and was glad to support the initiative taken by her guru to promote the art of dance. Lata Surendra also dedicated a dance performance to her student.
