PUNJABI GLOBAL FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE MARATHON ORGANISED BY PUNJABI SANJHI SABHA "RUN FOR GURU"- ON THE OCCASION OF SRI GURU TEG BAHADUR JI SHAHEEDI GURPURAB

Gurpreet Kaur Chadha of Punjabi Global Foundation supported the Marathon organized by Punjabi Sanjhi Sabha - "Run for Guru" The Ninth Master who sacrificed his life for justice (Hinduism) on the occasion of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji Shaheedi Gurpurab. The event saw the presence of Aarti Nagpal, Yash Wadali, Neha Pawar, Bobby Malhi, Pervinder Singh Chandhok. Kanwar Singh, Ginni Virdi, Sundeep Prabhakar. The event was organised to remember the martyr of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji  & inculcate his values in the young generation by the medium of fitness in the form of marathon.Gurpreet Kaur Chadha of Punjabi Global Foundation says "It's an outstanding concept to blend to remember the martyr of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji  & inculcate his values in the young generation by the medium of fitness in the form of marathon. All the guests came forth and supported Run for Guru initiative. I would like to thank each & everyone who supported and ran 9km" The guests participated in the run and everyone ran for 9 kilometres for 9th Guru saheb ji. Punjabi Sanjhi Sabha committee consists of- Sr. Charanjit Singh Gora, Sr. Kamaldeep Singh Gora, Sr. Surjit Singh Longia, Sr. Kulvinder Singh Kalsi, Sr. Gurmeet Singh, Sr. Surjit Singh.

Dev Patel's Lion set for a Oscar weekend release in India

        
    Perhaps one of the biggest Indian actors ensemble film                      to release in India on 24th February 
At the Toronto International Film Festival 2016, Lion opened up to rave reviews and even went onto winning the First Runner Up for the People's Choice Award. Several critical acclaims later, the film was recently released via a limited release format in the US and is perhaps one of the strongest contenders in this years award season being the clear favourite across for several probable categories. Lion is an Australian-American-British production directed by debutant Garth Davis and is based of the real life non-fictional book - A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierley. Boasting of a magnificent lead cast including the likes of Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, Sunny Pawar and Rooney Mara, the film also has a stellar Indian ensemble with names like Priyanka Bose, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tanishtha Chatterjee and Deepti Naval playing pivotal roles. 
Lion is a real life story of a young 5 year old boy who by an unfortunate accident finds himself lost away from home on the streets of Calcutta and struggles his way through until an Australian couple adopts him. Now in a land far away in Tasmania in Australia, Saroo begins to find the need to find his real home and sets on a journey with the help of Google earth to trace back his home. The film was recently premiered in New York amidst the presence of a magnificent audience including Bill Clinton. 
Popular artist SIA has sung an original song for the movie titled Never Give Up.The film is all set for an Indian release on 24th February, 2017 by Pictureworks

Irrfan Khan is a man of few but very powerful words and when it comes to his sense of humour, the world is aware of his wit! Recently his very wit left him in middle of an uncalled for situation in the neighboring country.The actor was at an event over the weekend and was quizzed about rumours doing the rounds that probably his next film may have a Pakistani actress in the film.
