Kanika Kapoor bonds with Shakira and Lionel Messi in Barcelona

Kanika Kapoor who had a fruitful 2016, recently took time off to unwind on an extended holiday in Thailand and Barcelona.

From recording hit songs, doing live shows across the world and being seated on the front row of every luxury fashion brand show at the Milan Fashion Week ,Kanika had a completely choc-o-bloc schedule .Before diving into her professional commitments back home, the singer and fashion icon toured Barcelona where she also dined with Latin-American pop artiste Shakira as well as Argentine footballer Lionel Messi and his partner, Antonella Roccuzzo.

When contacted Kanika confirmed the news and said, “I met Shakira at a common friend’s house in Barcelona. She was very warm and friendly. We chilled over dinner. Apart from discussing our babies, we also talked about Indian music. I told her I sing for Bollywood films, and she said she loves the sitar”.

Star Wars : The Complete Saga

Star Movies will be celebrating the imaginative world created by the visionary Director George Lucas with a complete six movie showcase titled ‘Star Wars: The Complete Saga’ starting 14th January every weekend at 12:00PM.

Artscape Sessions by Kamalika Guha Thakurta aims to help cancer patients to create an insightful of self-healing

Artscape team, recently conducted sessions in Mumbai at two cancer care centres, namely, St. Jude’s Child Care Centre and Nana Palkar Smriti Samiti. These sessions are targeted at the patients as well as the caregivers with an aim to promote physical and emotional well-being.These sessions begins with some Music therapy which also includes Om chanting followed IMG_7222 by Light therapy and other mindful meditation practices. Vaishali Tare, a reiki master and healer conducted the Light therapy at these sessions. This initiative by Kamalika Guha Thakurta helps to invoke a sense of relief and motivation in the participants.The main objective of having these sessions and this noble initiative is to use art forms as a tool to develop individuality, communication and social skills. It aims to provide individuals a great quality of life for people of all ages with a range of needs and challenges. Artscape aims to encourage performing art forms as an alternative approach to recovery, healing and psychological rehabilitation of any kind of physical or emotional trauma. Regular Music and Meditation Sessions are held at Cancer Rehabilitation Homes like ACTREC, St Jude’s and Nana Palkar Smriti Samiti.

DJ Shadow collaborates with Sean Paul & Badshah for 'Move Your Body'

9 Jan, 2016, Mumbai: DJ Shadow in collaboration with Badshah and Sean Paul are here with the party song of 2017. The single composed by the trio have together created is titled ‘Move Your Body’. Having worked with various artists on Bollywood remixes for over a decade, moving towards creating his own music is certainly an eventual decision that DJ Shadow realised in the course of time.

Hailing from Dubai with very strong Indian background, Shadow knew that he had a unique blend of style and a global appeal. He has try to used it at its best in his latest single. Talking about his latest release, the musician enthusiastically said, “Having worked on remixes for almost a decade and being one of the pioneers in starting up the trend of bootleg remixes in Bollywood, producing original music was definitely the next step for me. I always knew that I wanted to not just make it big in the Indian music scene but also take Indian music to the world.”
