Each and every movie fan has heard the term- ‘Once upon a time…in a galaxy far far away’ that showcases the longevity of the Star Wars fandom being never ending! From Easter eggs in some  of the biggest movies of the history to references in comics and TV shows, Star Wars is one such classic whose fan following leaps into generations after generations. The famed series has been ingrained in and inspired so many TV Shows over the years.
Remember Ross’s Princess Leia fantasy? Or Sheldon’s Raggedy C3PO costume? Or maybe Barney’s Storm Trooper in his living room? We have always seen at least one episode of each of our favorite TV Shows falling back to Star Wars.
As Star Movies has begun showcasing all the six Star Wars film every weekend this January, Here are is a look at the top shows that have dedicated their screenplays to the greatest creations of our times: Star Wars.
1.   That 70’s show

The show features many Star Wars references throughout their series, but one of the biggest had been the episode “ A New Hope” where the one of the characters ‘ Eric’ dreams of everyone to be in a star Wars movie making himself Luke Skywalker and his girlfriend, Donna, Princess Leia.
2.   F.R.I.E.N.D.S

The TV show of all times! F.R.I.E.N.D.S dedicates one entire episode to Star Wars in season 3 episode “The One with The Princess Leia Fantasy” where Ross narrates of his fantasy of prisoner Princess Leia’s Gold bikini outfit which Rachel tries to fulfil latter but things turn awry.

5.   Scrubs

Day dreamer J.D takes us on a Star Wars ride in the episode “My Two Dads” where he dreams of everybody in a Star War-sy situation where battles are fought with laser pens and the Janitor is a Wookie.

With their satirical gimmicky narrative, The Simpsons draws a brief reference to Star Wars in the fight between Principal Skinner and Bart with the Star Wars music score in the background.

The latest Star Wars series is soon to hit the screens this year, Catch the Complete Star Wars Saga on Star Movies this January every weekend at 12 pm to relive the fantasy.

2016 has been extremely rewarding and satisfying for me as an actor says Manoj Bajpayee

Actor Manoj Bajpayee proves yet again that he is one of the finest performers in Bollywood. Last year, the two time national award winner had enthralled the audiences with his outstanding and unique performance in critically acclaimed films like Aligarh, Budhia Singh: Born to Run, Traffic and Saat Uchakkey.  Be it commercial films or short-films like Taandav, Kriti and Ouch the actor has made a strong impact in audiences mind.
From winning international awards to getting recognition at prominent film festival, to now receiving not one but two awards at the popular Bollywood award ceremony -62nd Filmfare Awards 2017, this talented actor is creating a record in itself.  Awarded as Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor (Male) for Aligarh and Best Actor (Male) in a Short Film for Taandav, it’s time for double celebration for the fine actor.
2016 has been extremely rewarding and satisfying for me as an actor. The year has given me many reasons to celebrate. All my releases this year, Budhia Singh-born to run, Aligarh, Saath Uchakke, Traffic; as well as the shorts like Taandav, Kriti and Ouch have been wonderful experiences. Here is what I hope 2017 to be like. Looking forward to more opportunities to experiment and evolve as an actor as well as a person. Hope to see the audience support the great content in the cinema halls. I hope Budhia Singh runs again. I hope the critics will critique than criticize. I hope for more peace in the world and our country. I hope we are more tolerant towards each other, says Manoj Bajpyee.

Ayushmann and Bhumi in quirky rom-com Shubh Mangal Saavdhan

Two years since their first outing, Ayushmann and Bhumi will come together again for another quirky love story titled Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, directed by RS Prasanna, that will be jointly produced by Aanand L Rai and Eros International. The film will be shot in Delhi and Haridwar in a start-to finish schedule and will release in August this year. Coincidentally , the lead pair's first film was also set in Haridwar.

Producer Aanand L Rai says, “Shubh Mangal Savdhan is a funny and layered story . These are the kind of stories I've identified with, right from the time I made Tanu Weds Manu. It is a simple narrative with an interesting bend and the reason I cast Ayushmann and Bhumi is that they fit the bill perfectly for this part. They are the sort of actors I could be friends with even if they didn't belong to the fraternity . They are simple and humble.“
