Cinema legend Jackie Chan was in Mumbai today
to promote his upcoming international film, KungFu Yoga, directed by Stanley
Tong. The city welcomed the global action star with much fanfare, fitting for a
superstar of his stature. His host in Mumbai and co-star Sonu Sood , ensured
that the day was one to remember with a string of events that paid tribute to
him. Jackie Chan was first welcomed at JW Marriot,Mumbai with a traditional
Indian cultural dance and then joined the rest of the cast - Sonu Sood, Disha
Patani, Amyra Dastur and director Stanley Lang at the press conference
organized at the plush five star. The trailer of the international
action-comedy was screened to a packed house of well-wishers and the Indian media.
On the occasion said Jackie Chan, “I'm sure all of you sitting here have
watched my films growing up when your parents took you to watch them...it's my
wish now that you take your parents for this one." Talking about the film
said director Stanley Tong, “ In 1993, we shot the film The Myth in India and I
fell in love with India. I'm happy KungFu Yoga has brought me back here....it
was an amazing experience shooting in Rajasthan ". Said Sonu Sood, “ When
I received a call from Jackie Chan’s office for this film , I just couldn't
beleive it. When things were finalised ,the first person I called was my father
and we decided to watch the film together .I lost my father before this film released
but I'm distributing the film in India now and in a way I see it as honoring my
father's memory...he would have wanted this". Said Disha Patani, “The
entire experience of shooting this film was amazing and something I will never
forget.We are overwhelmed with all the support and love we have received
". Jackie Chan made a grand entry in a vintage automobile and was then
treated to a special showcasing of martial arts by an Indian troop. He later
gorged on the signature Mumbaiya street food as the hotel recreated the typical
“khau gaali “ambiance, within the hotel premises. The eventful day ended with
Sonu Sood throwing an honorary private party for Jackie Chan that was attended
by some of the biggest names from the Hindi film industry. KungFu Yoga releases nationwide in four
languages – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu 3rd February, 2017. Presented and
distributed by Sonu Sood (Shakti Sagar Sood Productions) in India, the
multi-lingual action adventure comedy features international action star and
cinema legend Jackie Chan, Lay Exo, Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur and is
directed by Stanley Tong

Saidah Jules debut production ‘The Dead End’ wins Best International Film award at RIFF 2017
Saidah Jules who rose to
fame as an actor with Girish Malik’s Jal formed her own production company
Lucid Films in Dubai and produced her debut movie ‘The Dead End’ which has won
Best International Film Special Jury award at the Rajasthan
International Film Festival (RIFF) 2017.The dead End featuring an
ensemble of talented actors including Saidah, Aditya Om, Zachary Coffin and Tv
actress Shielly Shukla as a drama-adventure feature film, which was also
officially selected at The World Film Festival in San Francisco last year.
Saidah, who is also the
lead actress of The Dead End, is glad that her debut production won an award in
the category of Best International Film Special Jury Award at RIFF.
The movie director Aditya
Om, who is also the lead actor of The Dead End, received the award at the
coveted film festival which also showcased other popular feature films
including Ajay Devgn’s Parched, Nana Patekar’s Natsamrat, Bahubali, Naseeruddin
Shah’s Waiting which also won awards in different categories.
Actor-writer-director
Aditya and renowned star of Telugu movies also did theatre and serials and has
done more than 25 films as a leading actor in Telugu films.
Saidah says, “The Dead
End is a very beautiful creative art film. It’s about spiritual journey and
psychological issues of its main characters. Everyone can relate to this film
because all of us go through such experiences. As an actress it was an easy
role because Maya is part of me and represents a lot of things I believe in and
share. I was involved in script writing process and it's natural that
everything what came out came out from heart and Maya was something very deep
and personal to me.”
“As a producer, it has
been a great and fruitful experience and I am glad that this film was my first.
I am very happy to share this movie with the audience. It’s not a movie to be
judged or watch with cola and popcorn, it’s a movie to watch and be touched by
it. It makes you think,” she adds.

on the armour used by Japanese samurai. It is one of the best creation by
George Lucas with a huge fanbase. Hayden Christensen portrayed Anakin Skywalker
in the second and third prequel films.
2. Lord Voldemort
Formerly known as Tom
Marvolo Riddle, Lord Voldemort also known as "The Dark Lord" is a
fictional character and the central antagonist in the Harry Potter series.
Almost every witch or wizard do not possess the guts to utter his unmentionable
name, and refers to him instead with such expressions as
"You-Know-Who", "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" or "The
Dark Lord".
The famous dialogue by
Voldemort “ Don't you turn your back on
me, Harry Potter! I want you to look at me when I kill you! I want to see the
light leave your eyes! ” is one that will stay beyond generations. His character
in his physical form is played by Ralph Fiennes.
1. The Joker
One of the finest
villains of cinema history, The Joker created by Christopher Nolan in his The
Dark Knight Rises is an embodiment of evil. Played by iconic actor Heath
Ledger, the character epitomizes anarchy, chaos and obsession with his
brilliance and class performance. The Joker with his scary cut face and the
maniacal wicked smile has swayed the Dark Knight fans into the imaginative
world of Gotham city to save the mankind.
