SRK dances to DJ Shadow's tune

The hoopla around Raees refuses to die down. With the film doing wonders at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer Raees is the film to watch out for. Recently in Dubai, DJ Shadow was roped in by King Khan for the club promotions of the film. "I've known Shah Rukh for a long time. Since he keeps coming to Dubai for work, we end up running into each other a lot," says DJ Shadow. The latter who is making inroads to Bollywood music, says that he understands the pulse of the B town actors and their type of music. "Like any other people, different actors have different tastes in music. Salman Khan likes a specific genre, while Shah Rukh Khan has a completely different take. I've played for almost all Hindi film actors promoting their films or partying in Dubai."

Collaborating with Raees is yet another feather in DJ Shadows feather. "It's always an honour to be associated with a big film and. If actors. More than SRK's stardom and larger then life life style, it's his inherent humility that makes him unique. We bond over music and business talk," recalls Shadow. The musician who is riding high on the success of his single with Sean Paul and Badshah, Mive Your Body is all set to make his musical debut in Bollywood. Watch this space for more.

Mallika Sherawat makes a big Bollywood move, signs Zeenat

Mallika Sherawat has been busy with Hollywood projects but now there's a Bollywood film which has excited her. Director Saandesh B. Nayak's Zeenat is all set to be her first Hindi film this year. A social drama, Zeenat focuses on relationships.  Saandesh B. Nayak confirms signing Mallika Sherawat and said, "She is extremely co-operative and is super excited about the project."

Mallika Sherawat added, "I feel that the script of Zeenat is a subject which is almost in the space of work that I am associated for a while now. As an actor, I was looking for a subject like this. It's fortunate that this is an absolutely commercial Hindi film which helps a message to be conveyed to a larger section of society. I am thrilled and looking forward to this role  and working in the film. I have never played something like this before."

Zeenat will go on floors soon and it will tentatively release in year end of 2017. The film is a multi-starrer and the other actors will be revealed soon. Zeenat is directed by Saandesh B Nayak and produced by Isha Nayak under the banner of Saanvi Nayak Films.

Sood organises Mumbai Darshan for KungFu Yoga director Stanley Tong

After playing perfect host to the global action superstar, Jackie Chan who recently visited India for the promotions of his forthcoming Indo-Chinese production, KungFu Yoga, Sonu Sood has now planned to give his movie director Stanley Tong a taste of Mumbai! Stanley Tong, who is currently stationed in Mumbai for three days for the movie promotional activities, was treated to Mumbai street food delicacies by Sonu, as the talented actor and KungFu Yoga presenter and distributor in India personally took the director and his team (from China) to popular food joints of Mumbai including Juhu chowpatty’s chaat stall, famous wada-pav opposite Mithibai College, tandoori chicken, mutton curry and gulaab jamuns! While Stanley heard a lot about Indian-style fried rice, Sonu had also arranged for the same, much to the director’s surprise!  Stanley Tong says, “Eating all the local Mumbai food was an experience in itself. Though we do not eat much spicy food, I liked tandoori chicken, mutton curry and gulaab jamuns. All thanks to Sonu Sood for treating me and my team to such delicious food.” Sonu says, “I truly believe in the saying – Atithi Devo Bhava. Stanley and his team are our esteemed guests and treating them well is our responsibility.”

KungFu Yoga releases nationwide in four languages – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 3rd February, 2017. Presented and distributed by Sonu Sood’s Shakti Sagar Sood Productions in India, the multi-lingual action adventure comedy features international action star and cinema legend Jackie Chan, Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur.

Shahid Kapoor forges a special bond with a commando while shooting for Rangoon

Shahid Kapoor who shot for portions of Rangoon in Pasighat , bonded with Commando stationed in Arunachal Pradesh while shooting for the film.It so happened that the Commando whose name was Bomi. was assigned as security with Shahid while the cast and crew shot at Pasighat, the two grew so close, that Bomi even requested traveling with him to their schedule in Rohtung.Shahid ,who had forged a bond with the young army man ,spoke to the higher authorities and convinced them to let him travel with them to the next shoot location and even surprised him with gifts before leaving for Mumbai.  

Says a source, " Shahid and Bomi spent several days together while shooting Rangoon. Shahid was very interested in getting to know his life and the challenges soldiers face. He has a lot of admiration for our security force and was happy to see Bomi enjoy the shoot so much. On request he even ensured Bomi traveled with them to the next schedule and gifted him a leather jacket and a pair of boots much to his delight".

Vaishnavi Patwardhan - From Miss India To Bollywood

Time and again our beautiful divas, be it Aishwarya Rai or Sushmita Sen, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra or many others, have proven that Indian models or beauty pageant winners are not just pretty faces but can act also. And the recent entry to join the club is Miss India 2016 finalist Vaishnavi Patwardhan, who after having won the subtitles Miss Active and Miss Lifestyle at last year's highly coveted pageant, will now be debuting in Bollywood film Raja Abroadiya.  

Vaishnavi, who also happens to be a law student always had interests in arts. Right from being a Personal Style Blogger to being one among the Times 50 Most Desirable Women of 2016 and then entering the Miss India pagent, the soon to be debuting actress carved her way all by herself. Lucky for her, she calls it all chance happenings. "I came to Mumbai because of Miss India and I had no clue where destiny was planning to take me. I couldn't be more grateful to have such a beautiful film as my debut. Super excited to begin this journey!," says Vaishnavi. 

But the actress can't stop gushing about her debut film, "When I first heard about Preety's character in the movie, I felt an instant connection with her. There are so many similarities between Vaishnavi and Preety. As I went on to read the script in detail, Preety became a part of me. The movie is a real entertainer and I'm sure everyone will enjoy the comedy. I never thought I'll get an opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful project." 

Produced and directed by Lakhwinder Shabla, Raja Abroadiya will release under the banner Shabla Films Pvt Ltd. The film will be shot in India and Germany. Raja Abroadiya is a rom com around a rich but less educated boy and poor but highly educated girl who decides to go abroad by faking a marriage. Music is by Mukhtar Sahota. Story of the film is written by Mani Manjinder Singh whereas Casting is done by Dinesh Sudarshan Soi. The crew which comprises of DOP Ishaan Sharma and Art Director Abhishek Redkar, are all set to start the shoot with a bang on ..
