After having stormed the world with several accolades and currently in contention for 6 Oscar Nominations, LION directed by Garth Davis saw its India premiere in Mumbai last night! To make the occasion special was the presence of the director Garth Davis who addressed the audience and spoke much about the passion that went behind the story of Saroo Brierley, who too was present at the premiere. 

Garth Davis said, "I hope India likes the film. It's made with a lot of passion and heart. India has had a huge contribution in making this film and I couldn't be more happier to be present here at the Indian premiere. Working on Lion has been a great journey". 

Present for the premiere was the Indian cast including - the international current sensation, Child actor Sunny Pawar, Priyanka Bose and Tanishtha Chatterjee. Several Bollywood celebrities came to support the film including ace directors like Vikramaditya Motwane, Shakun Batra, Ayan Mukherji, Kabir Khan who came with his wife Mini Mathur and several actors including Radhika Apte, Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher, Arshad Warsi, Monica Dogra, Maria Goretti and several other popular faces were spotted too. 

LION is film based in India and Australia based on the real life story of Saroo Brierley who penned his life story in a non fiction novel called A Long Way Home. The story is a poignant tale of a five year old boy who loses his way from home far away in Kolkata, later to be adopted by an Australian family. 25 years later Saroo finds himself on a quest using Google Earth to find his way back home. 

The film is being distributed in India by Pictureworks and will release on 24th February, 2017.

Luis Fonsi's 'Despacito' hits # 1 in Latin American countries' Spotify

Lois Fonsi’s and Daddy Yankees new single ‘Despacito’ meaning ‘slow and slowly’ is rather speeding its way up the charts by hitting  #1 spot on the Spotify chart of every Latin American country. The number makes it as the first Spanish language song to be in the Global Top 10 of Spotify with its peppy beats. Featuring  sensual lyrics the song, ‘Despacito’, makes it as a catchy number that will make you want to groove at it any moment possible. Fonsi who has sang and written the song in collaboration with Panamanian singer-songwriter Erika wanted the song to be upbeat and fun loving since the very start and only after completing the lyrics of the single that he strummed his guitar for the first time to compose its melody. His highly anticipated collaboration with Daddy Yankee had really put the pieces together flawlessly making it one of the best Spanish songs of the year. 

Not only the song but also the music video received a massive applause around the globe breaking records with more than a million viewers. Yankee and Fonsi’s crucial partnership indeed had its fans falling back to the nostalgic tunes of both the artists. Giving an homage to his native country Puerto Rico, the chemistry between Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, led ‘Despacito’ to # 1 on iTunes Latino’s "Top Songs" since its release. The camaraderie between Fonsi and Daddy Yankee has been the talks around the towns with their fantastic behind the scenes and recording gimmicks.  This January, Fonsi's upbeat track is already breaking records on Vevo becoming the Spanish language video with over 158.5 million video views on YouTube since its release on Jan 12th.

The final trailer for Disney's live-action take on Beauty and the Beast previews GRAMMY nominated and multi-platinum selling artist Ariana Grande and 10-time GRAMMY, Oscar®-winning and multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter/ musician John Legend's take on the song "Beauty and the Beast," originally sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson for the 1991 Disney animated film.

The enchanting ballad, originally performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson featuring eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken’s beautiful melody and two-time Oscar-winner Howard Ashman’s unforgettable lyrics, received an Academy Award®, Golden Globe® and GRAMMY Award, among other accolades, upon its release in 1991.

The trailer follows the small life of the story's central character Belle, portrayed by Emma Watson. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle who despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart of the true Prince within. Grande and Legend's take on "Beauty and the Beast" has already left fans in goosebumps, alongside the duet, Josh Groban will sing the track "Evermore." Celine Dion will also be performing an original song, “How Does A Moment Last Forever," for the new film's soundtrack, which is set to release March 10.

Sunny, dressed in bottle green bomber jacket broke the myth of being glamorous from teenage by disclosing the fact that she carried cropped hair with rugged elbows and knees and hairy arms and legs.

SShe disclosed being a tom boy and hanging mostly with boys in her teenage years. She goes on to talk about her first boyfriend in high school with whom she had her first kiss while watching the movie ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Sunny admitted for being caught by her father while making out with her boyfriend. She ached of having a heartbreak when her parents decided to move from Michigan to California.

At the end when Sunny was asked for a piece of advice for the teenagers, Sunny gave the answer like a spoil-teenager to burn and tear all the clothes so that the parents are forced to buy new clothes.
