Diana Krall- New album announcement with Amazon pre-order link

From ‘Bailando’ to ‘Ginza’ and now Despacito!

Latin American music has become a favourite for most dance parties for their upbeat music. There are a number of sure shot songs that need to be a part of your playlist to keep your feet tapping. Enrique Iglesias for years has given the world of music a number of unforgettable numbers but Enrique’s Bailando (which means “dancing” in English) is one such number that will make everyone jump up and dance! The song debuted at No. 1 on Top Latin Albums back in 2014 and became an instant success. In 2015, J Balvin entered our lived with the track Ginza. The song has almost 680 million views on VEVO. It comes as no surprise that the party track Ginza was a reigning No. 1 last year on Hot Latin Songs chart. It became one of those Spanish songs which are the best to dance to making your loose hair, party shoes to wear and let your hands up in the air. 

A newest addition to this list is the latest by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee called ‘Despacito’. The song even though it means ‘slowly’ has become of the fastest growing track of the year in 2017 breaking global records instantly. The song has gained more than 225 million views for its video on VEVO and received a massive applause across the globe. Songwriter Erika and Fonsi have penned ‘Despacito’ as one more song in the line of Latin jams which has effortlessly become the must have track in dance music playlist to groove to. 

Each of these tracks feature a completely different spectrum of Latin music that instantly create a following. With the newest feature of Despacitio by Luis Fonsi- the song will certainly be a favourite for a long time with even earning the title of being the first Spanish language song to be in the Global Top 10 on Spotify.

हुक्का गुड़गुड़ाएंगी बेगम जान की विद्या बालन !

विद्या बालन एक बार फिर सेक्सी अवतार में नज़र आने वाली हैं।  वह सृजित मुख़र्जी की फिल्म बेगम जान में एक कोठे की मालकिन के किरदार मे हैं। फिल्म में उनके  बेगम जान के किरदार की आवाज़ फंसी हुई सी सेक्सी होगी।  इंडस्ट्री में ऎसी आवाज़ वाली अभिनेत्री रानी मुख़र्जी हैं। यह आवाज़ रानी की सेक्स अपील में इज़ाफ़ा करती है।  चूंकि, फिल्म के तमाम करैक्टर लखनऊ से हैं, इसलिए विद्या पूरी फिल्म में हुक्का गुड़गुड़ा रही होंगी।   यह फिल्म १९४७ के दौरान बंगाल के विभाजन की पृष्ठभूमि में एक कोठे की वैश्याओं की दशा पर केंद्रित हैं।  आठ वैश्याओं वाले इस कोठे की मालकिन बेगम जान हैं।  बताते चलें कि दो साल

पहले निर्देशक सृजित मुख़र्जी कलकत्ता के एक कोठे की दशा पर दो भाषाओं बांग्ला और हिंदी में साथ साथ फिल्म बनाना चाहते थे।  इसके लिए उनकी पहली पसंद विद्या बालन ही थी। परंतु, उस समय सृजित को विद्या बालन से तारीखे मिलने में कठिनाई हो रही थी।  इसलिए उन्होंने इस कहानी को राजकाहिनी टाइटल के साथ बंगला में ऋतुपर्णा सेनगुप्ता के साथ शुरू कर दिया।  राजकहिनी २०१५ में दुर्गा पूजा के दौरान रिलीज़ हुई। अब इस फिल्म को हिंदी में महेश

भट्ट बना रहे हैं।  फिल्म का निर्देशन सृजित मुख़र्जी ही कर रहे हैं।  सृजित मुख़र्जी कहते हैं, "विद्या बालन का चेहरा, उनकी आवाज़ और उनकी बॉडी लैंग्वेज कुछ ख़ास है।  अगर आप किसी सशक्त किरदार के बारे में सोच रहे होते हैं तो जेहन में विद्या बालन या रानी मुख़र्जी ही आती हैं।  मेरी पहली पसंद रानी मुख़र्जी थी।  मैं सोच भी नहीं सकता कि कोई दूसरी अभिनेत्री इस करैक्टर को कर सकती है।" बेगम जान, विद्या बालन की तीसरी फिल्म होगी, जिसमे वह सेक्सी अवतार में नज़र आएँगी।  इश्किया और द डर्टी पिक्चर में विद्या बालन ने खुद

को कामुकता की हद तक सेक्सी साबित किया था।  लेकिन, बेगम जान के लिए विद्या बालन के सामने कोई कृष्णा वर्मा (इश्किया) या रेशमा (द डर्टी पिक्चर) चुनौती नहीं होगी।  पार्टीशन के दौर की इस फिल्म में विद्या बालन के किरदार को चुनौती बनेगी श्याम बेनेगल की फिल्म मंडी (१९८३) की मैडम रुक्मिणी  बाई।  इस किरदार को शबाना आज़मी ने यादगार ढंग से किया था ।  दिलचस्प तथ्य यह है कि मंडी फिल्म में भडुवे टुंगरुस का किरदार करने वाले नसीरुद्दीन शाह बेगम जान में भी ख़ास किरदार कर रहे हैं ।  नसीरुद्दीन शाह फिल्म इश्किया और द डर्टी पिक्चर में भी विद्या के सह नायक थे।  तो क्या विद्या बालन एक बार फिर बेगम जान के लिए राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार जीत पाएंगी ?

बॉक्स ऑफिस के गोल्ड अक्षय कुमार

बॉलीवुड एक्टर अक्षय कुमार की कॉमेडी ड्रामा फिल्म जॉली एलएलबी २ इस शुक्रवार (१० फरवरी) रिलीज़ होने जा रही हैं।  २०१३ की हिट फिल्म जॉली एलएलबी की इस सीक्वल फिल्म के इकलौते बड़े नाम अक्षय कुमार ही हैं।  फिल्म में उनकी नायिका कोई कैटरिना कैफ या प्रियंका चोपड़ा नहीं, बल्कि मामूली करियर वाली एक्ट्रेस हुमा खान उनकी नायिका है।  इसके बावजूद फिल्म के सौ करोड़ क्लब में शामिल होने की उम्मीद की जा रही है तो इसलिए कि अक्षय कुमार फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के सबसे विश्वसनीय एक्टर माने जाते हैं।  उनकी फ़िल्में मध्यम बजट में बन जाती हैं।  दर्शकों को अक्षय की फिल्मों का इंतज़ार होता है। यह तब है जब उनकी साल में एक नहीं तीन तीन फ़िल्में तक रिलीज़ हो जाती हैं। क्योंकि, दर्शक जानता है कि फिल्म अक्षय कुमार की है तो कुछ अलग देखने को मिलेगा ।  इसलिए,  इस कॉमेडी हिट फिल्म के सीक्वल का  बॉक्स ऑफिस पर हिट होना तय माना जा रहा है।  जॉली एलएलबी २ वैलेंटाइन डे वीक में रिलीज़ हो रही है।  ज़ाहिर है कि हफ्ता हल्की फुल्की कॉमेडी फिल्म के लिए बढ़िया है। 

तीन हजार करोड़ के अक्षय कुमार

अक्षय कुमार की विश्वसनीयता प्रमाणित है।  उनकी फिल्मों की सफलता का पैमाना पचास प्रतिशत का है।  कनाडा की राष्ट्रीयता वाले अक्षय कुमार ने १९८७ में महेश भट्ट की फिल्म आज में एक छोटी भूमिका से अपने फिल्म करियर का आगाज़ किया।  बतौर नायक उनकी पहली फिल्म राज सिप्पी निर्देशित पारिवारिक एक्शन फिल्म सौगंध (१९९१)  थी।  केवल ५ करोड़ में बनी यह फिल्म बुरी तरह से फ्लॉप हुई।  तीन फ्लॉप फिल्मों सौगंध, डांसर और मिस्टर बांड के बाद खिलाड़ी को सफलता मिली।  लेकिन, इस फिल्म के बाद अक्षय कुमार खिलाड़ी कुमार बन गए।  वह अपने धुरंधर एक्शन दृश्यों के कारण निकनेम एके ४७ की तरह मशहूर हो गए।  अक्षय कुमार ने अब तक करीब १०९ फिल्मों में नायक की भूमिका की है।  इनमे से उनकी आठ फ़िल्में ब्लॉकबस्टर या सुपर हिट फिल्मों में शुमार हैं।  १९ फ़िल्में हिट या सेमी- हिट हैं। २८ फिल्मों को औसत सफलता मिली है।  ५४ फ़िल्में फ्लॉप हुई हैं।  यानि सफलता का औसत ५० प्रतिशत है ।  अक्षय कुमार की फिल्मों ने ३ हजार करोड़ से ज़्यादा का बॉक्स ऑफिस  कलेक्शन किया है।  उनकी हर फ़िल्म औसतन २७ करोड़ का कलेक्शन कर ले जाती हैं। 

अक्षय कुमार की शुरूआती फ़िल्में फ्लॉप

अक्षय कुमार की फ्लॉप ५४ फिल्मों में ज़्यादातर उनके करियर की शुरूआती फ़िल्में हैं।  उन्होंने यह फ़िल्में खिलाड़ी  अभिनेता बनने दौरान आनन फानन में साइन की थी।  कैसी विडम्बना है कि अपने एक्शन के लिए मशहूर अक्षय कुमार की फ्लॉप फिल्मों में ९० प्रतिशत से ज़्यादा फ़िल्में एक्शन फ़िल्में थी।  उनकी बड़ी फ्लॉप फिल्मों में मैदान-ए- जंग, आरज़ू, तलाश : द हंट बेगिंस, आन: मेन ऐट वर्क, अब तुम्हारे हवाले वतन साथियों, इंसान, जानी दुश्मन :एक अनोखी कहानी, पुलिस फ़ोर्स: ऐन इनसाइड स्टोरी, फॅमिली: टाईज ऑफ़ बांड, टशन, चांदनी चौक टू चाइना,  ब्लू, एक्शन रीप्ले, पटियाला हाउस, थैंक यू, जोकर, वन्स अपॉन अ टाइम इन मुम्बई दोबारा, ब्रदर्स और सिंह इज ब्लिंग के नाम उल्लेखनीय हैं।  एक ख़ास बात और कि अक्षय की ज़्यादातर फ्लॉप फ़िल्में सितारा बहुल फ़िल्में थी।  उनके खाते में ब्लू जैसी पहली भारतीय अंडर सी फिल्म भी शामिल है।  यह सबसे महंगी फिल्मों में भी शुमार है। 

पारिवारिक फ़िल्में भी रही औसत

२१ वी सदी के शुरू होने के साथ ही अक्षय कुमार का सितारा चमकने लगा।  उन्हें खुद को हरफनमौला अभिनेता के तौर पर स्थापित करने का मौका मिला।  २००० में उनकी तीन फ़िल्में रिलीज़ हुई।  यह फ़िल्में भिन्न शैली की फ़िल्में थी।  प्रियदर्शन की फिल्म हेरा फेरी विशुद्ध कॉमेडी फिल्म थी।  धर्मेश दर्शन की फिल्म धड़कन पारिवारिक फिल्म थी।  नीरज वोरा निर्देशित फिल्म खिलाड़ी ४२० एक्शन फिल्म थी। पहली दो फिल्मों में अक्षय कुमार के साथी दूसरे समकालीन एक्शन स्टार सुनील शेट्टी थे।  इन फिल्मों ने औसत से ज़्यादा बिज़नस किया।  अक्षय कुमार की औसत या औसत से ज़्यादा बिज़नस करने वाली फिल्मों में धड़कन के अलावा आँखें, इंटरनेशनल खिलाडी, हेरा फेरी, अजनबी, आवारा पागल दीवाना, यह दिल्लगी, दोस्ती: फ्रेंड्स फॉरएवर, मिस्टर एंड मिसेज खिलाड़ी, इन्साफ : द फाइनल जस्टिस, एक रिश्ता : द बांड ऑफ़ लव, खाकी, ऐतराज़, बेवफा, वक़्त: द रेस अगेंस्ट टाइम, दे दना दन, देसी बॉयज, खिलाड़ी ७८६ और स्पेशल २६ के शीर्षक शामिल हैं।  अक्षय कुमार की यह फ़िल्में भिन्न शैली में बनी फ़िल्में थी।  यह एक्शन फ़िल्में भी थी, कॉमेडी भी और पारिवारिक फ़िल्में भी। 

बॉक्स ऑफिस का हिट 'खिलाड़ी अभिनेता'

कभी हिन्दी फिल्मों में मार्शल आर्ट्स के सहारे अपनी पहचान बनाने वाले अक्षय कुमार को कॉमेडी ने सफल बनाया।  उनकी बॉक्स ऑफिस पर हिट हुई १९ फिल्मों में कॉमेडी या एक्शन कॉमेडी फ़िल्में ज़्यादा थी।  उनकी हिट कॉमेडी फिल्मों में गरम मसाला, भूल भुलैया, हे बेबी, मुझसे शादी करोगी, भागम भाग, हॉउसफुल और हॉउसफुल ३ के टाइटल शामिल हैं।  अक्षय की हिट फिल्मों में सुहाग, मोहरा, सबसे बड़ा खिलाड़ी, खिलाडियों का खिलाड़ी और गब्बर इज बैक हैं तो तो जानवर, नमस्ते लन्दन, अंदाज़ और बेबी जैसी भिन्न शैली में बनी फ़िल्में भी शामिल हैं।   पिछले तीन चार सालों में अक्षय कुमार ने फ़िल्में चुनने का तरीका बदला है।  उन्होंने भिन्न कथानकों वाली, थोड़ा देश भक्ति का तड़का समेटे और सामान्य से एक्शन वाली फ़िल्में चुननी शुरू की।  हॉलिडे, गब्बर इज बैक और बेबी जैसी फिल्मों से अक्षय को अपनी विश्वसनीयता साबित करने में मदद मिली। 

सुपर हिट होता है कॉमेडी से भीगा एक्शन कुमार

अक्षय कुमार की २००६ में रिलीज़ कॉमेडी फिल्म फिर हेरा फेरी सुपर हिट हुई  थी।  इस फिल्म के बाद, अक्षय कुमार ने एक्शन  कॉमेडी फिल्म वेलकम, सिंह इज ब्लिंग और राउडी राठौर के ज़रिये खुद को मज़बूत साबित किया।  अक्षय कुमार के अभिनेता के लिए ख़ास रही ओह माय  गॉड, एयरलिफ्ट और रुस्तम जैसी फिल्मों की सफलता।  यह फ़िल्में कंटेंट के लिहाज़ से बिलकुल अलग थी।  इन फिल्मों में अक्षय कुमार को अपने अभिनय के जौहर दिखाने का मौक़ा मिला था।  इन फिल्मों की १०० करोड़िया सफलता से यह साबित होता था कि अक्षय कुमार अब कंटेंट के लिहाज़ से अलग और खुद पर फबने वाली फ़िल्में साइन करने लगे हैं।  ऎसी फिल्मों के कारण अक्षय कुमार को सलमान खान और शाहरुख़ खान से अलग भिन्न शैली की फ़िल्में करने वाला अभिनेता भी साबित कर दिया।  अक्षय कुमार की फिल्मों की खासियत होती है कि ज़्यादातर फ़िल्में भारी बजट की नहीं होती।  इनके निर्माताओं के लिए मुनाफ़ा कमाना आसान होता है। 

इस समय अक्षय कुमार की कम से कम चार फ़िल्में रिलीज़ होंगी।  जॉली एलएलबी २ के अलावा टॉयलेट एक प्रेम कथा और २.० को इस साल रिलीज़ होना हैं।  टॉयलेट एक प्रेम कथा प्रधान मंत्री के स्वच्छता अभियान को सपोर्ट करने वाली फिल्म हैं, जिसमे गाँव में स्वच्छता की दुर्दशा का रोमांटिक चित्रण हुआ है।  रजनीकांत की फिल्म रोबोट की सीक्वल फिल्म २.० में अक्षय कुमार का विलेन का किरदार करना, उनकी अलग करैक्टर करने की इच्छा को दर्शाता ही है, यह भी बताता है कि दक्षिण में भी काफी दर्शक अक्षय कुमार के प्रशंसक हैं।  वह इस दौरान बेबी की प्रीकुएल फिल्म नाम शबाना में भी नज़र आ सकते हैं।  नीरज पाण्डेय के साथ उनकी चौथी फिल्म क्रैक होगी।  यह एक थ्रिलर फिल्म होगी।  अक्षय कुमार का रीमा काटगी की फिल्म गोल्ड में मशहूर हॉकी खिलाड़ी और ओलिंपियन बलबीर सिंह का किरदार करना उनकी भिन्न भूमिकाएं करने की भूख को ही दर्शाता है।  

Hollywood Calling Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi is all set to make her big Hollywood debut in Viceroy's House.

Acclaimed filmmaker Gurinder Chadha(of Bend it Like Beckham fame) takes on a large-canvas film of epic proportion with the historical drama and epic romance , which marks Huma's entry into Hollywood.

Huma Qureshi's Viceroy's House is fast becoming the talk of the town . The film is an official selection at Berlinale 2017 and will have its worldwide premiere at the festival. The team will also showcase the film at other international festivals.

Huma essays the role of Aalia, an interpreter to the last Viceroy of India played by Hugh Bonaville and his wife played by Gillian Anderson. The star also features in a strong love story ,where she and 100 Foot Journey star Manish Dayalfind themselves caught up in the seismic end of the Empire.

Huma who headlines the film along with Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson and Manish Dayal has caught the attention of several international management agencies and has been signed by Troika Talent that also handle Hollywood star Michael Fassbender.

Rumor has it that the agency were completely floored by Huma in Viceroy’s House and were massively impressed by her strong body of work here in India.

Says a source, “Huma will be making her Hollywood debut this year in Gurinder Chadha’s Viceroy’s House and has already caught the attention of management bigwigs in Hollywood.
