Shemaroo Entertainment wins Gold Award for #FilmigaaneAntakshri in Social Media Marketing Category at IAMAI

Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, one of the leading content houses in the country wins a “Gold Award” for #FilmigaaneAntakshri at the 7TH India Digital Awards organized by IAMAI in the category of Social Media Marketing. IAMAI had around 300 entries from leading brands and five among them were nominated for the award namely Coca Cola India, IDFC Bank, Woodland Worldwide, Nutralite and Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd.
Prior to this #FilmigaaneAntakshri also entered the Limca Book of Records for hosting the longest running Antakshari on Twitter. #FilmiGaaneAntakshari, an initiative by Shemaroo’s Filmigaane, is the first of its kind digital campaign that ran on Twitter for 7 continuous days, 24 hours from 26th September’16 to 3rd October’16, a total of 168 hours. The campaign was designed to make people re-live the beautiful retro era. During the course of this campaign, on an average one winner was selected in every 5 minute and total of 2016 winners selected in 168 hours. A Grand prize worth Rs. 10,000 was announced for the person who showed the maximum participation during the campaign. The campaign created a stir amongst the twitter users and went viral for days. Shortly radio and news portals also started speaking about it.

Drake, The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes top the Juno Awards Nominations!

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences have announced the Juno Music Awards for 2017 with Drake, The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes leading the nominations with maximum votes for more than 3 categories.
The most coveted Canadian Awards honouring artists and bands as voted the best by Canadian Music fans is set to take place this spring in Ottowa on the 2nd of April,2017 with a star studded evening attended by artists across the globe.
2016 has witnessed Canadian singers smashing the global music stage with their outstanding groovy numbers. Drake, The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes have lead the race for the music awards throughout the year along and still remain as one of the top 50 artists in the billboard charts worldwide. The Weeknd stands as the highest nominees with 5 nominations including Juno Fan Choice, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and R&B/Soul Recording of the Year.
Along with The Weeknd, Rapper Drake is nominated for the Rap Recording of the Year, Single of the Year for "One Dance”, Artist of the Year while singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has been nominated for JUNO Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year for "Treat You Better", Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.
Justin Bieber too manages to stand in the list of nominees with the Juno Fan Choice Award for his outstanding music in the past year.
The JUNO Music awards is set to take place on the 2nd of April with an expected attendance and performance by some of the best artists worldwide.

Raveena shines at IDA charity event with kids

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is known for her charity work, so it comes as no surprise when she goes out of her way to support a cause. The popular actress of tinsel town sure know how to do her bit to make a difference in the world. In an encouraging development, Raveena has been a great supporter of IDA India (In Defence of Animals). In order to promote charity organisation. 
Mast mast girl believes that every human being should have compassion within him, especially towards the weak. At a fundraising event for NGO IDA, Raveena said: "I think this is very good cause by IDA to sterilise the stray and rescued animals. It is a community service. We bring those animals who are injured and hurt in accidents for treatments." 
"Regarding this, an awareness is very much needed as I believe compassion is very necessary for every human being." Raveena's children Rasha and Ranbirvardhan, who were made 'cub ambassadors' through an initiative called the Compassionate Kids Club, were also awarded at the event. 
Raveena said: "My children made handmade bracelets and collected Rs 50,000 for the organisation as part of the Compassionate Kids Club (CKC), so they both got felicitated." 
"According to the statistics in most of the criminal cases, the criminals have a history of showing cruelty towards the weaker and the animals. I would say whenever you see some sign of this type of mentality in someone, please alert them. We need to bring awareness that we should protect the weaker section not do any harm to them." 

We must say it is heartening to see her getting involve with a good cause.
