Kunal Kapoor flags off Juhu Half Marathon, Jeetendra cheers participants

The Juhu Half Marathon aimed to create fitness in the long run , flagged off by actor Kunal Kapoor in the presence of Satyanarayan Choudhary, DCP, Zone 9,  saw an amazing amount of participants running across the streets of Juhu at 5.45am on March 4. 

Organised by the Get Fit Thru Sports Foundation (GETFIT) in association with Rotary Club of Bombay Airport (RCBA), under the aegis of Mumbai Suburban District Athletic Association (MSDAA), the Juhu Half Marathon well-served its purpose of fitness consciousness among Mumbaiites. 

Kunal Kapoor expressed his happiness at the fact that the Juhu Half Marathon “spread the message of health and fitness,” and added that he felt “privileged” on being the Event Ambassador of an event that aims to do good for the community.  

Said Bharat Kapadia from Get Fit Foundation "An event is as good as the participants' delight. I'm so glad that the runners enjoyed the run and most of them crossed the finishing line with a smile. Thanks runners, sponsors, partners & well wishers."  

Added Vijay Ambati, President, Rotary Club of Bombay Airport: "I am overwhelmed by the passion and enthusiasm. What a sight to watch participants across age groups run enthusiastically for our social cause. A lot of hard work & support from the sponsors/partners and the Rotary family. Jeetendra was very enthusiastic. "All my youth, i have neglected my health. But now, I look after myself and would reccomend the same to each of you. Each of us should participate in a sport to keep themselves fit. It is the need of the hour."

रिचा चड्ढा के साथ पर्दे पर नजर आएंगे सनी पवार

ऑस्कर की 6 श्रेणियों में नामांकित फिल्म ‘लायन’ में अपने शानदार प्रदर्शन से सनी पवार, अर्थात नन्हे शेर ने पूरी दुनिया में तहलका मचा दिया। सनी ने अपने प्रदर्शन से दुनियाभर के दर्शकों की प्रशंसा पाई, साथ ही प्रशंसकों एवं आलोचकों, दोनों ने उसकी समान रुप से सराहना की, जिससे मुंबई का यह छोटा सा लड़का चमकता हुआ सितारा बन गया। इस फिल्म में सनी पवार ने नन्हा सारो का किरदार निभाया था, जो बचपन में घर वापस जाने के रास्ते से भटक गया और 25 साल बाद गूगल अर्थ ऐप की मदद से ऑस्ट्रेलिया से अपने वास्तविक परिवार की तलाश में भारत वापस आया। पूरी दुनिया में कामयाबी और शोहरत के बीच यह नन्हा सितारा रिचा चड्ढा के साथ अपनी अगली अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परियोजना पर काम करने के लिए तैयार है। इस फिल्म का नाम “लव सोनिया” है, जिसके इस साल में रिलीज होने की संभावना है। तबरेज नूरानी द्वारा निर्देशित इस फिल्म का निर्माण डेविड वोमार्क ने किया है। इस फिल्म के कलाकारों में हॉलीवुड और बॉलीवुड के कुछ बड़े नाम भी हैं, जिनमें फ्रीडा पिंटो, डेमी मूर, मनोज बाजपेयी, अनुपम खेर, राजकुमार राव और साई ताम्हणकर शामिल हैं। रिचा और सनी पर्दे पर साथ नजर आएंगे और सूत्रों का कहना है कि दोनों कलाकार साथ काम करने को लेकर बेहद उत्साहित हैं। इस फिल्म में सनी ‘बैंग बैंग’ नामक किरदार की भूमिका निभाएंगे, और उनके नाम से ही लग रहा है कि इस नन्हें सितारे के आसपास खूब धमाल होगा।

Munna Michael makers surprise Tiger Shroff on his birthday

It was a working birthday for Tiger Shroff who turned a year older on Thursday, March 2. The young star ring in his special day on the sets of his forthcoming film, Munna Michael, produced by Eros International and Viki Rajani and directed by Sabbir Khan. 

The Munna Michael team went a step further by ordering a massive chocolate cake for the birthday boy. Surrounded by crew members, Tiger blew out the candles and took a bite out of a delicious chocolate cake along with his sister Krishna Shroff (assistant director on the project), Viki Rajani and Sabbir Khan. 

Besides surprising the young star on his birthday, the makers have also planned to shoot an important sequence on a highway which was specially blocked for the shoot. 

Viki Rajani says, “We have shot a major action sequence on a highway which we have blocked specially for a particular scene. It was a really exerting day for Tiger but he was happy that we called a cake for him. It’s a regular shift and we finished shooting late in the evening.”

Canadian Bhangra band En Karma releases fusion single "She Kills"

Canadian world music Bhangra band En Karma has teamed up with Sanjay Seran, the lead vocalist of Vancouver-based Delhi 2 Dublin music group, and released their new single "She Kills" on all major digital outlets this week, through India's largest music label T-Series.At a time when bands are looked upon as a thing of the past, En Karma's presence comes with a new lively dash of electrifying energy. Founded in British Columbia, Canada, the band's distinct sound is the work of Pip Dhaliwal (on the drums), Nick Chowlia (keyboards), Inder Kooner (vocalist), Ricky Thinda (bass) and Karm Cooner (on the dhol).Based on the band's core mantra of friendship, the song's video has the boys jamming out the beats to a vibrant fusion of world music and Bhangra, delivering a sound that fans would love.Drawing on their UK influences for live band arrangements, infused with the contemporary sway of North America, the band first gained popularity with their self-titled debut album 'En Karma' reaching the No.1 position on the iTunes World Music charts.Featuring the lead single "Tohar Naal Jeena" with K.S.Makhan, H.Dhami and Delhi 2 Dublin, the debut album established En Karma's brand.
