The Bollywood list for Adel and Sana’s wedding gets bigger and better with divas like Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shamita Shetty and Gauahar Khan. Author of ‘The Soulful Seeker’, Punam Chadha Joseph at WE CARE – An EEMA Initiative Event

Marking the International Women's Day on March 8th 2017, WE CARE, an EEMA initiative hosted an event celebrating women in events, media and hospitality, highlighting their roles as well as the challenges that they face.

Punam Chadha Joseph, the renowned author who had released her first collection of poetry titled ‘The Soulful Seeker’ recited some beautiful poetry at the WE CARE women’s day celebration on International Women’s Day. The event was held at Taj Land’s End and the audience was absolutely stunned and in awe of her recitation.

The event saw dignitaries from various verticals- film, sports, politics, and business who interacted with the renowned guests who largely comprised of decision makers.

Ayushmann and Tahira to make Toffee

Date 10th March - Joins hands with casting director Mukesh Chhabra to co produce short film . 

Ayushmann Khurana is a multi talented artist who has deftly proven his abilities to act, sing, write and compose many times over. Now, he turns producer for a short film to be directed by wife Tahira Kashyap. 

Co produced with casting director Mukesh chhabra, Toffee, as this short film is titled, has an engaging idea at its core. Set in the Nineties, the film is about two pre teen girls, aged around 11. Their insights into the world as it is, and conspiracy theories that prevailed then make for an interesting inverted lens to narrate this story. JAR Productions, headed by Ajay Rai, is the executive producer of this short. And Vivek shah is the Dop.

 

Elaborating on his move to turn producer, Ayushmann said, “Tahira has been an author. And now she has also written a really good script, one that deserved to be seen by people. She's written scripts for our theatre group and has directed plays as well. With Mukesh chhabra as a co-producer who's a credible name in the industry with his spot on sensibilities, Toffee has the look and feel of a feature film and the advantage of telling a story within a short duration.”

Vivek Oberoi gifts new house to acid attack survivor on Women’s Day

Actor-philanthropist Vivek Oberoi believes in giving back to the society. On Women’s Day – 8th March, the large-hearted actor gifted Lata, an acid attack survivor a new house.

Introducing his colleagues at Karrm Infrastructure to Lalita, Vivek gave her a job offer and also bought her a new house. The generous actor is also taking her to counseling sessions to enable her to begin a new life.

Vivek says, "When I met her, I got to know that she is looking for a job. Since I found her talented, I offered her one in my company. Also, when I learnt that she stays in a rented apartment, as a responsible citizen, I decided to gift her a home through my affordable housing company."
