Kareena Kapoor Khan adds another "first" to her credit - pays tribute to the Khans in a stage performance

Kareena Kapoor Khan who turned the postergirl for the modern- day working woman as she went on to break stereotypes and continued to work through her pregnancy , now adds another "first" to her credit. 

The star becomes the first actress in Indian cinema to do a stage performance in less than 3 months after giving birth to her son. 

What makes this performance a special one is that Kareena will pay tribute to Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and husband Saif Ali Khan. 

Kareena Kapoor Khan embraced pregnancy like no other Bollywood actress, flaunting her bump gloriously as she continued to work - Tonight, at an award show, the actress will take to the stage to dance to a medley of her hit songs from her films with the Khans. 

Sources reveal that the actress who has been paid a whopping amount for her first performance post pregnancy, will be will be styled by her close friend- designer Manish Malhotra.

Rasika Dugal in Zoya Akhtar’s next in Bombay Talkies 2

In 2013, four directors came together to commemorate 100 years of Indian Cinema, and they made critically acclaimed film Bombay Talkies. The film was an ensemble of four short films based on the theme of cinema that starred Rani Mukerji, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ranvir Shorey and Saqib Salim directed by Dibakar Bannerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar. All the stories were masterpieces in themselves with brilliant performances from each actor. Now four years later the quartet is coming back with a sequel to Bombay Talkies with all new stories to tell this time around. There are already reports of Bhumi Pednekar and Neil Bhoopalam roped in for the film by Zoya Akhtar, the fresh news is that joining the cast will be Rasika Dugal who plays a pivotal character in the film. The actress was last seen in Nikhil Advani's magnum opus drama POW - Bandhi Yudh Ke and now next she will be seen with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Manto which is set to be directed by Nandita Das. Rasika is all excited with these new developments in her career and is looking forward to work with Zoya Akhtar who is one of the few brilliant woman directors country has. 

When asked Rasika she said, "This is the first time I'm working with Zoya. She had watched my short film Chutney where she really liked my part and she called me to congratulate me for the award the film won and then she asked if I would be willing to play a part in her upcoming project. I was overjoyed because she one of the directors you want to work with. She's one of those directors who has the talent to have a very good mix between making a film of a high scale and great content. I have always admired her work, I was pretty thrilled when she called me for the part in Bombay Talkies 2. We shot end of last month and the shoot was for around 5 days"

I play a character very close to my life – a television sports anchor who is going through a lean patch and finds solace in his friends. A fun-loving, bindass character who is proud of his libido and is smooth with women. I’ve stripped down to bare minimum for this show and especially walking around naked on the sets was hard. This could be one of the boldest and most fun web series of the current era and if anybody had the balls to make such a show it had to be Ekta Kapoor, she is the queen and the king maker. AmeyWagh who plays a very twisted but fun character says, “The best part about Boygiri is that some really close real life friends have come together for this show. Gurmeet Choudhary set to launch self-defence app for women safety

In a bid to encourage women safety, Gurmeet Choudhary has decided to launch a self-defence app, dedicated to his female fans. 

“I’m advocating safety through martial arts. I want to ensure that they take positive steps to protect themselves when caught in tricky situations,” says Gurmeet. 

Taking into account the rising incidents of crime against women, Gurmeet decided to come up with the idea. “We all know what happened during New Year’s Eve when young girls were mocked at, molested and abused at public places. I was shocked and saddened by the plight of those defenseless young girls.” 

Gurmeet met a group of young girls and social activists while on a visit to Hyderabad, “They were aware that I had a fan base of young girls and that I was well-versed in martial arts. They were researching on the topic and looking for various measures to curb the rising crime rate against young girls,” he informs.  

The actor also demonstrated some basic self-defense techniques that young girls could use when caught in difficult situations. “I further suggested that we come out with this interactive app, whereby I could demonstrate these techniques, where young girls could easily react if someone tried to grip their hand, hold their neck, attack them from behind or tried to snatch their wallet. They could learn all this sitting in the comfort of their homes. These techniques are taught to every girl in China in their schools, but unfortunately in India, we have no such education. I want all my female fans to avail of it. I want them to stand strong and confident, ready to take on the world,” adds Gurmeet.

Actress Tanishaa Mukherjee celebrates Holi

The gorgeous Tanishaa Mukherjee was recently seen playing the festival of colors Holi with media. The vivacious actress was spotted wearing traditional attire and was looking absolutely pretty. Seen in some of the hit films like Sarkar, Sarkar Raj, Neal N Nikki  and others, the diva shared some holi memories with everyone and also indulged into some playful celebrations with the media.
