R Madhavan wins Best Actor award at IIFA Utsavam 2017 for Irudhi Suttru

R. Madhavan, who played a retired boxer-turned-coach with élan in Sudha Kongara’s Irudhi Suttru, has bagged the Best Actor award at the second edition of IIFA Utsavam 2017 for the critically-acclaimed Tamil sports drama.The Hindi version of Irudhi Suttru titled Saala Khadoos was also appreciated from both audience and the critics alike. Interestingly, Irudhi Suttru was nominated in five major categories including Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor Female and Best Singer Female.Last year, Irudhi Suttru was screened at the prestigious Tokyo International Film Festival and the movie was met with a fabulous response from the people and the media, who couldn’t stop praising Madhavan’s stupendous performance in the inspiring movie.Madhavan said of his win, “It was wonderful to win the award at the global platform. The response to Irudhi Suttru and Saala Khadoos has been overwhelming. I think after four years of hard work and challenges I feel truly vindicated.”

Gurmeet Choudhary is a doting husband and the talented actor is known to spring huge surprises on his dearest wife Debina.Recently, the talented actor surprised his wife by buying a plot in Himachal Pradesh for her birthday, (April 18) in advance.A source says, “During their holidays in Himachal Pradesh last year, they thought about buying a place there, as Debina feels it’s one the most beautiful places on earth. They have been to the state often on vacation or for work. Gurmeet is fond of adventure sports, and one can indulge in many adventure sports in the region. So, it was ideal to get a farmhouse kind of place in the state.”“The plot is apparently located in a small village near Manali, and the couple plans to build a house there soon,” adds the source.Gurmeet says, “Debina is very fond of visiting exotic locations in Himachal Pradesh and always wanted to own a house there. So, this birthday, I thought of gifting her a beautiful house located in a small village near Manali.”

Vishal Patni enters Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan

Vishal Patni, who has been part of many films and television shows, will be seen playing an important character in Sony Entertainment Television’s show SankatMochanMahabaliHanumaan. Vishal will be seen playing Nikumbh, a Rakshash who will fight against Hanumaan, in the upcoming episodes.Vishal has already started shooting for the show and will be seen in interesting fight sequences. “The entire team of the show is content with the way he is playing Nikumbh. The fight sequence between him and Hanumaan (played by NirbhayWadhwa) will be a highlight.”

Confirming the news, Vishal says, “I take great pride to apprise that I've been offered a role of "Nikumbh" for "SankatMochanMahabali Hanuman". I hope I'm able to give justice to this new character and at the same time showcase my versatility.”
