Vivaan Shah: ‘I play a very dishonest and selfish character in ‘Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana’
Actor Vivaan Shah, who made his acting debut with ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, will be next seen romancing Akshara Haasan in upcoming family entertainer ‘Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana’ and in an interview, Vivaan opened up about his character.Talking about his character Laaddoo, Vivaan said, “What is interesting about my character Laaddoo is that he is very selfish, self-centred and dishonest as he had a tough childhood and has learned to think only about himself and what is best for him, without any regard for other people. However, having said that, Laaddoo still has an endearing quality because he has a good heart. I found it quite interesting and challenging to play a character who is so selfish and dishonest, but yet manages to be endearing.”Apart from Vivaan and Akshara, ‘Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana’, which has been produced by TP Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal and written and directed by Manish Harishankar, also stars Kavitta Verma, Gurmeet Choudhary, Saurabh Shukla, Sanjay Mishra, Darshan Zariwala and other actors.
'Rakhi Sawant was having watermelons, not evading Police'
While a team of Punjab
Police’s Ludhiana unit was said to have come to Mumbai to arrest her this week,
Rakhi Sawant was gallivanting all over Mumbai suburbs with Bollywood PR guru
Dale Bhagwagar. The police were reported to be looking for the firebrand
actress for her alleged derogatory comments on sage Valmiki, who authored the
Ramayana.
"Contrary to
reports, Rakhi Sawant has not been on the run or in hiding. Nor has she been
evading anyone. She has not received any summons or warrant, and she has not
been arrested. She has contacted the Police, though that does not imply
'surrender;' as the media has conveniently misconstrued. If the Police calls
her, she will present herself before them," said Dale.
"I was with her all
day when the news broke out in the media. We did a photoshoot for a tabloid in
the morning at Lokhandwala (suburb of Andheri). It was a concept where she was
having watermelons on the streets, beating the Mumbai heat. She even interacted
with people on the pavement and took selfies with fans," he informed."After that we
continued to be in Andheri, meeting people and interacting with the media. She
visited her gym. And all this, while Rakhi was dressed in bright shiny
florescent green, making it impossible for people to miss her," added the
Bollywood publicist.
Dale even posted pictures
of Rakhi in florescent green on social media. "When we heard of the
reports in the media, I asked her to check with the police station of her
residential jurisdiction. But she said, they told her they were not aware of
any arrest warrant."After that, to be on the
safe side, the public relations specialist took her to his advocate and
requested to assist her with the matter. "She will also speak to the media
soon," he said.
No Pakistani band to promote B’wood album
A FOUR- city tour of
India by Pakistani music band Fuzon has been cancelled after the members were
unable to procure security. The three- member pop rock band, which has lent
music to Raveena Tandon’s Maatr, was to
arrive in the country in the second week of April for song promotions.According to source,
“Security is the primary issue. Team also advised the makers. Relations between
the countries would be further affected if right- wing elements caused harm to
Fuzon or their property during performance. Now makers want to launch song on a
digital platform”
Initially, Maatr makers
had decided against including any songs in the gritty thriller, but during
editing, producer Anjum Rizvi realised Fuzon’s music would give the movie heft.Anjum Rizvi says, “ The
recording was done in their studio in Pakistan. Momina felt Rahat Fateh Ali
Khan’s voice would be perfect for the song Zindagi Ae Zindagi, which is an
emotional track mapping Raveena’s journey as a mother in the film. It is a deep
song that people will connect to.”
They recorded the song at
Rahat’s home in Lahore. I believe art and culture should remain independent of
politics.I feel ordinary citizens
of both countries want peace, no one wants these tensions and threat of war,
Art and culture should be independent of politics’ Anjum signs off.
Director James Gunn posts slime covered image of Dave Bautista and also launches Lego trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2
Director James Gunn will
begin posting a behind-the-scenes photo from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
every day up until release of the film. Kicking off his series of pictures was
a BTS shot of Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer. "I will be posting a
#GotGPicoftheDay every day from now through the movie opening. They’ll be
composed of behind-the-scene shots from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 I took
on my iPhone, my Leica Q, and a few select unseen set stills. Here’s the first
one, Dave Bautista (Batista) as Drax in quite a mess. This was uncomfortable as
all get out for Dave but, as usual, he puts up with many feats of discomfort to
make the Guardians great. #GotGVol2#Drax#movies“

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” states that anyone can save the galaxy once,
but what if they are in LEGO form? The lego trailer is able to capture every
standout moment in the recreation, including Baby Groot’s charm, the epic space
battles, Drax’s exuberance for violence, and Ego’s dramatic entrance as he
reveals that he’s Star-Lord’s father.
Guardians Of The Galaxy
