फिल्म पुरस्कार चले बॉलीवुड से रीजनल सिनेमा की ओर

प्रियदर्शन की अध्यक्षता में गठित जूरी के द्वारा ६४ वे राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कारों की विजेता फिल्मों और हस्तियों के नामों का ऐलान कर दिया गया। बॉलीवुड अभिनेता अक्षय कुमार रुस्तम के लिए श्रेष्ठ अभिनेता घोषित  किये गए। फिल्म  अंदाज़ में  उनकी नायिका प्रियंका चोपड़ा की बतौर फिल्म निर्माता पहली मराठी फिल्म वेंटीलेटर ने तीन राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार जीते । वेंटीलेटर के राजेश मापुस्कर श्रेष्ठ निर्देशक का पुरस्कार पाने

में कामयाब हुए।  मलयालम फिल्म मिन्नामिनुन्गु की नायिका सुरभि लक्ष्मी को श्रेष्ठ अभिनेत्री घोषित किया  गया।  नीरजा हिंदी भाषा में बनी श्रेष्ठ फिल्म घोषित की गई।  ६४ वे फिल्म पुरस्कारों के लिए ३४४ फ़िल्में जूरी को भेजी गई थी।  इस साल के पुरस्कार हिंदी फिल्मों से हट कर क्षेत्रीय भाषाओँ की फिल्मों को तरजीह दे रहे थे।  इस साल के पुरस्कारों की खासियत यह रही कि जूरी ने उत्तर प्रदेश को सबसे ज़्यादा फिल्म

फ्रेंडली राज्य तथा झारखंड को विशेष रूप से चिन्हित किया ।  इन पुरस्कारों के लिए फिल्म पर लिखी गई ३३ पुस्तकें विचाराधीन थी। यतीन्द्र मिश्रा की लता मंगेशकर की संगीत यात्रा पर लिखी हिंदी पुस्तक लता सुरगाथा को श्रेष्ठ पुस्तक पाया गया। जी धनंजयन को बेस्ट मूवी क्रिटिक घोषित किया गया।  बेस्ट नरेशन वॉयसओवर का पुरस्कार मकीनो में एक जापानी महिला के बंगाली वॉयसओवर को दिया गया।  अब्बा बेस्ट शार्ट फिल्म

घोषित की गई।  स्पेशल एनीमेशन पुरस्कार हम पिक्चर बनाते हैं को दिया गया।  शिवाय के स्पेशल इफेक्ट्स ने नविन पॉल को बेस्ट स्पेशल इफेक्ट्स अवार्ड जिता दिया। मराठी फिल्म साइकिल बेस्ट कॉस्ट्यूम डिज़ाइनर, तमिल फिल्म २४ बेस्ट प्रोडक्शन डिज़ाइन अवार्ड पाने में सफल रही। वेंटीलेटर को बेस्ट एडिट फ़िल्म पाया गया।   द टाइगर हु क्रॉस्ड द लाइन श्रेष्ठ एनवायरनमेंट फ़िल्म घोषित की गई।  बांग्ला फिल्म प्रकटन के तुमि

जाके भालोबाशो की गायिका ईमान चक्रवर्ती को श्रेष्ठ गायिका  और तमिल फिल्म जोकर के लिए गायक सुंदरा अय्यर को श्रेष्ठ गायक का पुरस्कार दिया गया।  राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कारों की जूरी ने कड़वी हवा, मुक्ति भवन और मुक्ति भवन के आदिल हुसैन और नीरजा की सोनम कपूर का ख़ास उल्लेख किया।   दंगल में गीता फोगट का किरदार करने वाली ज़ायरा वसीम को श्रेष्ठ सह अभिनेत्री का पुरस्कार दिया गया।  नागेश कुकनूर की

फिल्म धनक श्रेष्ठ बाल फिल्म घोषित हुई।  सामाजिक सरोकारों पर बेस्ट फिल्म का पुरस्कार आई एम जीजा और सनथ को संयुक्त रूप से दिया गया।  क्षेत्रीय भाषाओँ में पुरस्कृत फिल्मों में राजू मुरुगन की फिल्म तमिल फिल्म जोकर, गुजराती फिल्म रॉंग साइड राजू,  कन्नड़ फिल्म रिजर्वेशन, मराठी फिल्म दशक्रिया, बंगाली

फिल्म बिसर्जन के नाम शामिल हैं।  राम माधवानी की फिल्म नीरजा श्रेष्ठ हिंदी फिल्म घोषित की गई।  मलयालम फिल्म एक्टर मोहनलाल को  जूरी का विशेष पुरस्कार दिया गया।  अलीफा को निर्देशक की पहली फिल्म का इंदिरा गांधी अवार्ड दिया गया।  मराठी फिल्म कासव श्रेष्ठ फिल्म पाई गई।  पुलिमुरुगन के एक्शन के लिए पीटर ह्यन श्रेष्ठ एक्शन डायरेक्टर का पुरस्कार पाने में कामयाब हुए।

Vivek Anand Oberoi Nabs Chor Red-handed In His House!

Over the last few weeks, there had been a spate of small thefts at star-actor Vivek Anand Oberoi’s home. And as the frequency was going up, from petty cash, food from the refrigerator/ supplies room and even his kid’s toys, the security suspected it to be an inside job. They finally apprehended the culprit after a well-laid trap, catching footage of him in the act on CCTV cameras. It was a long-known associate known to him and the family since over 2 decades and hence before handing him over to the police, the media was invited over for a statement. At the meet, the culprit was exposed to set an example. The thief was escorted out by the constables with a mask, and was finally revealed to be none other than his old friend, co-actor, Riteish Deshmukh. 

This was yet another innovative marketing stunt pulled off for their forthcoming feature film ‘Bank-Chor’ under Y-Films, the youth wing of Yash Raj Films [YRF]. Speaking on the same, Vivek Anand Oberoi, “Jahaan jahaan bevaqoof bank-chor honge, wahaan wahaan unhe pakadne CBI officer Amjad Khan zaroor pahunchega! Thank you everyone for being so sporting and supporting our mad film.” 

Riteish Deshmukh, in handcuffs and a mask as he was being taken away by the cops in a police van added, “Iss baar aapki favorite chocolate chura rahaa tha issiliye pakde gaye, humesha aise nahi hoga. 16D ke April Fool ke baad, there’s a lot more madness coming your way… Yeh toh sirf shuruwaat hai, sir! See you in theatres, 16th June… G-B-M-L-R… Ganpati Bappa Morya, Let’s Rock!” 

Bank-Chor, starring Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Rhea Chakraborty, is a story of 3 idiots trying to rob a bank and how they pick the worst day possible when everything starts falling apart. A fun comic thriller directed by Bumpy and produced by Ashish Patil, it features music by Shri Sriram, Superbia, Kailash Kher, Rochak Kohli, Baba Sehgal and Shameer Tandon. Bank-Chor is set for release worldwide on 16th June, 2017.

Gully Rapper Naezy Makes His Bollywood Debut With Bank Chor!

Mumbai’s hottest street rapper, Naezy aka Naved Shaikh, is making his Bollywood debut with Y-Films’ new film, Riteish Deshmukh-starrer Bank Chor. Naezy has dropped his distinctive rhymes on a first-of-its-kind epic rap battle, titled BC Rap Knockout: Mumbai vs Delhi, that is composed by Shameer Tandon and written by Varun Likhate. 

The rap-star, who is repped by One Digital Entertainment will face off with another rapper from Delhi in the rap battle. Naezy will also feature in its slick music video along with Riteish and Bank Chor lead actress, Rhea Chakraborty. 

Naezy is currently riding on a high as Ranveer Singh plays a character inspired by him and rapper DIVINE, in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film, Gully Boy. Known for his unique ‘gully’ style, he exploded on to the indie music scene in India in 2014 with a DIY music video of his song, ‘Aafat’, that went viral, and launched him in public consciousness as a voice and style to watch out for. 

The 23-year old is excited to introduce his Mumbaiyya rap in mainstream Bollywood with Bank Chor. He says, “Super stoked to jump on this battle rap song of Bank Chor for Y films and represent my city. They were looking for someone fresh and authentic and if it's about representing who else could do it better than a gully rapper! I'm honored to be involved in the music video as well. I'm looking forward to rock it, would be my first appearance as a Bollywood rapper. I'm full too excited! 

Says Shameer Tandon, “I have had a fantastic relationship with Y-Films so far through our Cannes award-winning project The 6-Pack Band. So doing a song for their new movie, Bank Chor, is an extension of the same spirit of doing something quirky and hatke. The rap battle has never been done in Bollywood, so it only made sense to have Mumbai's gully boy Naezy on it's.. aur usne macha di hai!” 

Ashish Patil, producer of Bank Chor and Head, Y-Films, says, “Bollywood has heard and loved Punjabi hip hop in the recent past but they have still not been introduced to Mumbai’s Gully style. Naezy’s rhymes have brought a street swag to our song, and we can’t wait to introduce him to Bollywood fans!”The track will be launched in the last week of May with a promotional music video, preceding Bank Chor’s release on June 16.

Kunal Kapoor to attend Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation the Summit in Seattle, Washington

Kunal Kapoor who has recently been in the news for his body transformation, seems to have set his sights in transforming a completely different space, the social sector. The actor is the co founder of one of Asia's largest crowdfunding platforms, Ketto. The tech platform has raised money for everything from disaster relief to fighting diseases and even helping athletes raise money to compete in International events. Last year the tech start up won the Wharton India start up competition and now the platform has been recognised by none other than the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.On April 5-6, 2017, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is organising the Greater Giving Summit in Seattle, Washington and Kunal's platform has been invited for the event. A one hundred and fifty thought leaders, innovators and influencers from across the world have been invited to be part of the summit in Seattle. 

Kunal will be heading to Seattle to participate in the summit, and had this to say “We are truly honoured to be invited to this summit. When we started off a couple of years back, we never imagined we would be on the radar of the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation" Kunal further adds "We are a team of young people that have come together at Ketto with a dream of making a positive impact on the world around us. This is a validation of our efforts.”

Ambili Menon - The Undisputed ‘live’-wire

Singing sensation Ambili is no stranger to the music industry. Known widely in the live spectrum; with stage performances across the country and the world, she is now focusing on building her digital footprint with 'Qyuki Digital Media,' who has emerged as the foremost platform for musical talent.
