John Abraham, The Disruptive Producer chooses 1998's Pokhran Nuke Test as subject for his next

After the riveting success of Vicky Donor and Madras Café, John Abraham is all set to don the producer’s hat again with a film , based on the nuclear test conducted at Pokhran in 1998. Produced under his banner JA Entertainment and Rustom makers KriArj Entertainment, the untitled film will also star John in the lead role. Directed by Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden fame, the script has been co-written by Saiwyn Quadros and Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, who were part of the Neerja team. 

Talking about the collaboration says John Abraham, “I have never been in a hurry to produce films and have been searching for subjects that are engaging... stories that resonate with the current socio-political and economic mood of the country .This film fits in perfectly with my pursuit, and I am also happy to start my association with Prernaa and Arjun.“ Adds director Abhishek Sharma, “'I'm glad to collaborate with John. His involvement as an actor and producer adds great value and credibility to my vision.“

The film, will go on floors on April 20 and is scheduled to release on December 8, 2017.

A star-studded trailer launch of film Mantostaan

The cast and crew of film Mantostaan came together for the trailer launch of the film at The View in Andheri West. Seen were Director Rahat Kazmi, actors Sonal Sehgal, Shoib Nikash Shah, Raina Bassnet, and Tariq Khan, co-producer Zeba Sajid, presenters Mujeeb Ul Hassan and Jitesh Kumar. Hari Mehrotra, Gulfam Khan, Prashantt Gupta, Rahul Singh, Shahid Kazmi and Surjeet Choudhary also came to cheers the cast and the makers of the film. 

Mantostaan is a satire that has four of world-renowned controversial playright-author-writer Saadat Hasan Manto's haunting stories, weaved into one with the partition backdrop. The film, having won accolades at the London Asian Film Festival (Best Director), Lakecity International Film Festival (Best Actor and Best Actress) , Rajasthan International Film Festival (Best Film Critic's Award, Best Actor and Best Actress Awards); having had its world premiere at Marche Du Cannes Film Festival and its Indian premiere at NFDC Industry screenings IFFI Goa; having been the official selection at the Melbourne Indian Film Festival, Festival of Globe USA, Jaipur International Film Festival among many others, is all set to release on 5th May 2017.

Yash Raj Films To Distribute Salman Khan Films' Tubelight Overseas

Yash Raj Films have been entrusted with the overseas distribution rights (excluding MENA) for Salman Khan Film's next production – TUBELIGHT. After delivering the blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ the dream team of Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan are back together this Eid- the film will also feature Sohail Khan and the Chinese star Zhu Zhu. Tubelight is one of 2017's most highly anticipated films, and is megastar Salman Khan's third film as a Producer.

This is Salman Khan Films first collaboration with YRF for the overseas territory. YRF have successfully distributed films developed and produced by the Studio in emerging and established markets across the globe as well as prized films produced by other prestigious production houses.
