Onir’s Shab premieres at New York Indian Film Festival

Onir's much-awaited movie, Shab had its World Premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival on May 1, 2017. Set in the cosmopolitan city of Delhi, the romance-drama featuring Raveena Tandon and introducing two talented actors – Ashish Bisht and Arpita Chatterjee, is a story of people coming from different walks of life, some in the search for love and some towards realization of their dreams.​​

Also starring French actor Simon Frenay, Shab is a story of these characters caught in the web of circumstances of an unforgiving and cold city.Director Onir and actor Ashish Bisht interacted with few acclaimed directors – Amit Masurkar, Sudhish Kamath and Sandeep Mohan – of the movies that were screened at the coveted festival during the gala dinner.The screening of Shab which took place on May 1, 2017 (US time) received wonderful response at the festival. 

It’s a double whammy for Onir as his film screening happened on his birthday – May 1, 2017. The filmmaker was excited about attending the New York premiere of Shab and the prestigious film festival along with Ashish and Simon and also receiving praises from the festival director Aseem Chhabra and Mallika Dutt – Indo-American human rights activist and CEO-Founder of Breakthrough Foundation. 

Produced by Sanjay Suri, Bhavna Talwar, Mohan Mulani and Onir under the banner Anticlock Films, WSG Pictures and Surya Ventures, Shab is scheduled to release this year. The first look of the film will also be revealed soon.

First Look of Hindi Film “DAWOOD” launched

First look of Hindi feature film “DAWOOD” which is written and directed by Rajesh Putra was launched on 30th April 2017 in ‘The View’ in Andheri. This film will be released on Eid and in three languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Bollywood has seen many films based on International Don ‘Dawood Ibrahim’, but this film “DAWOOD” claims to base on reality, this was said by director Rajesh Putra, he added we started this film in 2014 and finally it is going to see big screen, he further added we don’t bother or afraid of any claim, and are ready to face any problem, the word Dawood according Quran is a sweet name for a baby, every mother wants her baby to turn into a doctor, engineer or anything but good human, she doesn’t want him to turn evil, that is the main point of this film. 

Shiva who had played the title role of Dawood in the film said as an actor it is his duty to perform the role of character maybe good or evil, he said he was looking quite similar to original Dawood, so he got that role and he has tried to justify it.

Anil Kapoor confesses he enjoys making others jealous!

Anil Kapoor talks about how he was only into girls as a teenager and how his dream of having many girlfriends never got fulfilled because he met his wife very young! 

​The ever young actor and heartthrob Anil Kapoor talks about his teenage years, his girlfriends back then, how he was always into girls, why he signed Slumdog Millionaire and now how his kids bully him at home with YouTuber Hanee Chavan.

​Anil Kapoor known for his 'jhakaas' style confesses that he would be more aggressive with his style and fashion sense if his kids weren't around. He goes on to say they don't want to be embarrased of his dressing style and hence curb his style and crazy attitude. 

Anil goes on to talk about how as a teenager he was not into academics or sports but was only interested in knowing who was going to be his next girlfriend. He sighs saying that could never happen as he met his wife very young but he's more in love with her now! Though he does admit that she wasn't his first kiss! 

He also confesses that in life he listens to young people more than elderly and thus the only reason he signed Slumdog Millionaire was because his son read the script and asked him to do the movie. He goes on tell how Sonam is the most impulsive of all his three kids and that he enjoys making other people and his contemporaries jealous. If he knows they're getting jealous, he wont stop and will irritate them more.
