अब सिद्धांत कपूर बने दाऊद इब्राहिम

अभी सिद्धांत कपूर के बॉम्बे बम ब्लास्ट के दोषी भगोड़े डॉन दाऊद इब्राहिम के स्वांग वाले चित्र मीडिया पर पसरे पड़े थे।  इन चित्रों के साथ यह भी बताया गया था कि सिद्धांत ने  रोल के गेटअप में अपने  पिता और हिंदी फिल्मों के खलनायक शक्ति कपूर के सनग्लासेस और सूट का उपयोग किया था।  बताते चलें कि सिद्धांत कपूर का यह दाऊद अवतार अपूर्व लखिया की गैंगस्टर ड्रामा फिल्म हसीना  के लिए हुआ था।  इस फिल्म में उनकी बड़ी बहन श्रद्धा कपूर गैंगस्टर दाऊद इब्राहिम की बहन हसीना पार्कर का किरदार कर रही हैं।  सिद्धांत उनके रील लाइफ भाई दाऊद इब्राहिम का  किरदार  कर रहे हैं।
 बात यह नहीं है कि सिद्धांत अपने रोल के लिए क्या और कैसा गेटअप इस्तेमाल किया और कैसे किया ?  इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि सिद्धांत ने अपने विलेन के किरदार के लिए अपने पूर्व विलेन पिता की वस्तुएं  इस्तेमाल की।  सिर्फ गेटअप से किरदार पर कोई फर्क नहीं  पड़ता है।  सवाल यह है कि सिद्धांत कपूर रियल लाइफ करैक्टर, जिससे ज़्यादातर हिंदुस्तानी नफ़रत करते हैं, कितना वास्तविक या रियल  कर पाते हैं ? सिद्धांत कपूर के सामने कई रील लाइफ दाऊद इब्राहिम हैं, जिन्हे बॉलीवुड के कई  छोटे बड़े अभिनेताओं ने किया।  क्या अपनी पहली ही फिल्म से वह अपने वरिष्ठ अभिनेताओं के दाऊद को चुनौती दे पाएंगे ? आइये जानने की कोशिश करते हैं  ब्लैक फ्राइडे से लेकर हसीना तक के दाऊद और इस करैक्टर को करने वाले अभिनेताओं के बारे में।  यह अभिनेता अपने करैक्टर को कितना प्रभावशाली बना पाए ?
ब्लैक फ्राइडे का दाऊद विजय मौर्या
बॉलीवुड के अपराध फिल्मों के निर्माताओं में से एक अनुराग कश्यप की इस मामले में तारीफ की जाती है कि उन्होंने पहली बार अपनी फिल्म ब्लैक फ्राइडे (२००४) में दाऊद इब्राहिम का उसके नाम से चित्रण किया।  इससे  पहले कोई भी फिल्म निर्माता इतना साहस नहीं बटोर पाता था कि दाऊद इब्राहिम को बुरे किरदार में चित्रित कर सके।  १९९३ के बॉम्बे सीरियल बम ब्लास्ट पर अपनी इस फिल्म में दाऊद इब्राहिम को चिन्हित और इंगित किया था।  हालाँकि, यह फिल्म लम्बे समय तक सेंसर के लफड़े में फंसी रही।  लेकिन, इसके पीछे दाऊद इब्राहिम का ज़िक्र कारण नहीं था।  फिल्म में दाऊद का किरदार अभिनेता और लेखक विजय मौर्या ने किया था।  विजय ने अपने करियर की बड़ी शुरुआत रामगोपाल वर्मा की फिल्म सत्या में कल्लू मामा के गैंग के सदस्य के बतौर की थी।  वह अब तक २४ फ़िल्में कर चुके हैं।  डॉन के किरदार में विजय मौर्या के अभिनय की तारीफ हुई।  वह रियल डॉन के काफी करीब लग रहे थे।

रामगोपाल वर्मा की कंपनी और डी 

रामगोपाल वर्मा की फिल्म कंपनी (२००२) की कहानी विशुद्ध रूप से दाऊद इब्राहिम से प्रेरित थी।  लेकिन, वर्मा ने अपने किरदारों के नाम बदल दिए थे।  अजय देवगन ने फिल्म में दाऊद के रील लाइफ मलिक का किरदार किया था।  इस फिल्म से छोटा राजन के रोल (चंदू) में विवेक ओबेरॉय का बॉलीवुड डेब्यू हुआ था। अजय देवगन ने दाऊद के रील लाइफ किरदार का वास्तविक चित्रण किया था।  आठ साल बाद अजय देवगन दाऊद के गुरु हाजी मस्तान का किरदार सुल्तान मिर्ज़ा को फिल्म वन्स अपॉन अ टाइम इन मुंबई में कर रहे थे। निर्माता रामगोपाल वर्मा की क्राइम फिल्म 'डी' का निर्देशन विश्राम सावंत ने किया था।  इस फिल्म में डी का मतलब देशु था।  यह फिल्म का नायक था।  लेकिन, जिस घटनाक्रम से इसका जिक्र हुआ था, वह काफी कुछ दाऊद इब्राहिम से प्रेरित था। रणदीप हुडा की बतौर नायक पहली फिल्म थी।  इस किरदार के लिए रणदीप की प्रशंसा हुई।  
दाऊद बनने का 'रिस्क' लिया  विनोद खन्ना ने
कोई पांच साल के अंतराल के बाद एक्टर विनोद खन्ना फिल्मों में वापसी कर रहे थे।  इस वापसी के लिए उनका डॉन का करैक्टर करना काफी रिस्की था।  लेकिन विनोद खन्ना ने यह रिस्क उठाया।  विश्राम सावंत की फिल्म रिस्क (२००७) में वह दाऊद  इब्राहिम का रील लाइफ किरदार खालिद बिन जमाल कर रहे थे।   हालाँकि, रिस्क के खालिद के दाऊद इब्राहिम से प्रेरित होने से सभी इंकार कर रहे थे।  लेकिन, इस फिल्म की घटनाएं दाऊद द्वारा की गई वारदातों के काफी निकट थी।  विनोद खन्ना इस फ्लॉप फिल्म में अपने गैंगस्टर किरदार में काफी फबे थे।  

शूटआउट एट लोखंडवाला मे दाऊद का जिक्र
अपूर्व  लखियाऔर निर्देशित फिल्म शूटआउट एट लोखंडवाला (२००७) १९९१ के मशहूर लोखण्डवाला शूटआउट पर थी।  इस शूटआउट में खतरनाक गैंगस्टर माया डोलास पुलिस द्वारा घेर कर मार गिराया गया था।  फिल्म में माया डोलास का किरदार विवेक ओबेरॉय ने किया था।  इस फिल्म में ब्लैक फ्राइडे के बाद खुल कर दाऊद इब्राहिम का जिक्र किया गया था।  दरअसल माया डोलास कभी दाऊद इब्राहिम का गुर्गा था।  लेकिन, फिर उसने दाऊद के साथ विद्रोह कर दिया था।  इस पर दाऊद ने ही उसे मरवाने की सुपारी मुंबई पुलिस को दी थी।
मिलन लुथरिया के दो दाऊद
मिलन लुथरिया ने एक ही टाइटल वाली दो फिल्मों में दो अलग अलग दाऊद इब्राहिम पेश किये थे।  २०१० में रिलीज़ फिल्म वन्स अपॉन अ टाइम इन मुंबई में सत्तर के दशक में बॉम्बे में वर्चस्व के लिए स्मगलरों के टकराव की कहानी का चित्रण किया था।  उनकी इस फिल्म में सुल्तान मिर्ज़ा और शोएब खान के चरित्र रियल स्मगलर हाजी मस्तान और दाऊद इब्राहिम के थे।  कभी दाऊद इब्राहिम सुल्तान मिर्ज़ा का दांया हाथ हुआ करता था।  लेकिन, उसकी खून खराबा करने की आदतों ने उसे सुल्तान से दूर कर दिया।  फिल्म में सुल्तान मिर्ज़ा का किरदार अजय देवगन ने और दाऊद इब्राहिम का किरदार इमरान हाश्मी ने किया था।  दोनों ही अभिनेता अपने किरदारों में काफी फबे थे।  मिलन ने जब दाऊद इब्राहिम की बॉम्बे को दिखाने के लिए सीक्वल फिल्म वन्स अपॉन अ टाइम इन मुंबई दोबारा में कथानक को दाऊद इब्राहिम पर केंद्रित किया तो दाऊद इब्राहिम इमरान हाश्मी नहीं अक्षय कुमार बने थे।  इमरान हाश्मी की जगह आये इमरान खान।  उन्होंने शोएब के साथी असलम का किरदार किया था।  मगर फिल्म का सीक्वल ढीली कथा-पटकथा के कारण दर्शकों को आकर्षित नहीं कर सका।
शूटआउट एट वडाला में दाऊद
संजय गुप्ता ने अपनी फिल्म शूटआउट एट वडाला (२०१३) में मुंबई के हिन्दू गैंगस्टर मान्या सुर्वे के किरदार को महिमामंडित किया था।  कहानी के अनुसार मान्या सुर्वे की ताक़त से घबड़ा कर दाऊद इब्राहिम ने पुलिस की मदद से वडाला के कॉलेज में उसका एनकाउंटर करवा दिया था।  इस फिल्म में जॉन अब्राहम मान्या सुर्वे बने थे तथा दाऊद इब्राहिम और उसके बड़े भाई साबिर का किरदार सोनू सूद और मनोज बाजपेई ने किया था।  यह दोनों ही ज़बरदस्त अभिनेता हैं।  इन दोनों ने अपने किरदार बखूबी अंजाम दिए थे।  अब यह बात दीगर  है कि फिल्म को सेंसर बोर्ड के पचड़े से बचाने के लिए संजय गुप्ता ने इन दोनों किरदारों के नाम दिलावर और ज़ुबैर कर दिए।
जब चॉकलेटी ऋषि कपूर बने दाऊद
निखिल आडवाणी की फिल्म डी-डे  (२०१३)  भारत के रॉ एजेंट द्वारा दाऊद इब्राहिम का अपहरण कर भारत लाने के काल्पनिक मिशन पर फिल्म थी।  फिल्म में दाऊद के रील करैक्टर गोल्डमैन का किरदार बॉलीवुड के चॉकलेटी हीरो ऋषि कपूर ने किया था।  ऋषि कपूर ने दाऊद के हावभाव और चालढाल को बेहतरीन तरीके से अपनाया था।  फिल्म में उनके अभिनय की प्रशंसा हुई।
 दाऊद की फ्लॉप 'डी' कॉमेडी
दाऊद इब्राहिम के करैक्टर को अब तक की एक्शन थ्रिलर फिल्मों से अलग कथानक में पेश करने की कोशिश की निर्देशक विशाल मिश्रा ने।  उन्होंने कॉफ़ी विथ डी में एक पत्रकार द्वारा दाऊद इब्राहिम के लाइव इंटरव्यू को कॉमेडी के सहारे दर्शाने की कोशिश की थी।  फिल्म में सुनील ग्रोवर ने रील लाइफ अर्नब गोस्वामी का किरदार किया था, जो दाऊद  से लाइव इंटरव्यू करना चाहता है।  फिल्म में डी यानि दाऊद का किरदार अभिनेता ज़ाकिर हुसैन ने किया था।  लेकिन, ढीली ढाली कथानक वाली यह फिल्म फ्लॉप हो गई थी।
उपरोक्त रील लाइफ डी करैक्टरों पर बात करने से यह साफ हो जाता है कि दाऊद का किरदार करने के अपने खतरे हैं।  इस करैक्टर से लाउड होने की आज़ादी नहीं ली जा सकती।  इसका मज़ाक उड़ाना तो खतरनाक होगा। अजय देवगन और ऋषि कपूर जैसे अभिनेताओं ने इसे काफी संतुलित हो कर किया। नतीजे के तौर पर इनकी फिल्मों को सफलता मिली।  देखने वाली बात होगी कि सिद्धांत कपूर रील लाइफ दाऊद बन कर अपनी रील लाइफ में भी बहन हसीना को कितनी मदद कर पाते हैं।  क्योंकि, सिद्धांत का सशक्त अभिनय श्रद्धा के हसीना के किरदार को उभारने में मदद करेगा।

Kendrick Lamar Continues to be #1 on the Billboard Artist 100 charts

Following his record-breaking LP of 2015- ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ and last year’s ‘Untitled Unmastered’, the American hip hop star ever since his release of his new album DAMN on 14th April 2017, has been seeing worldwide success and dominating global charts with the album. The rapper spends his third straight week atop the Billboard Artist 100 chart as 'DAMN.' also holds at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Kendrick Lamar spends his third consecutive week as the top musical act in the U.S, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Artist 100 chart.

According to Nielsen Music, Lamar earns his fifth total week atop the Artist 100, thanks in large part to his latest LP DAMN., which posts its third week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 173,000 equivalent album units in the week ending May 4.

Below Lamar on the Artist 100, Gorillaz is a new No. 2 high, as their album Humanz debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Among other highlights in the Artist 100's top 10 is Drake at No 5 position and Mary J Blige at No 6.

Gauahar Khan's short film Peanut Butter screened at Silicon Valley International Film Festival

Gauahar Khan is elated with the response her short film Peanut Butter has received in a short period of two months. And now she has got another reason to celebrate as the short film was shortlisted and screened at the Silicon Valley International film festival and Silicon Beach International film festival. From about 4000 films, Peanut Butter is the only Indian Short film which made has to the top 60. 

The film was directed by Manu Chobe and it was very well received by the audiences. In a very short spam the short film gained 2.9 Million views. 

Gauhar says, " I love exploring every platform that gives me an opportunity to showcase my talent. When Playground digital cinema approached me they came with 2 scripts and asked me to chose. I heard Peanut butter, I didn't even feel the need to hear the second script. I felt like this as the story that needed to be told, this was the story that I wanted to do as an actor and explore that kind of possibilities within me. I took it up as the right thing to do and not that it is going to be challenging. The interesting twist about playing a 28 year old mother to a 18year old son was interesting enough, how that happens and how that plays out is something people discovered when they watched it and they were pleasantly surprised. I'm very excited about the response, I have tried to do just to my character of Priya Mathur and tried to make it as real as possible. I'm also happy about the fact that it has gone to an international film festival and people have loved it. It has also crossed about 3 million views now. I hope that it receives more love and support that it deserves. I'm very happy for Manu sir and also Dheeraj Totlani who plays my son in the film."

Shamita Shetty stuns filmmaker Suparn Verma on the sets of her web series

Shamita Shetty will soon be making her debut in the digital world with a web series, directed by Suparn Verma.

While everything related to her character and the show has been kept under wraps, Shamita has been thoroughly enjoying the experience of shooting for her debut digital show.

Suparn who is directing the show was blown away by Shamita’s stupendous performance while shooting recently. According to sources, Suparn is very impressed by her fabulous performance and the way she has progressed as an actor over the years.

Having worked with Shamita closely, Suparn feels Shamita has opened up a lot as an actor. He says, “The idea was to break the walls between the actors as well as open up the actors from their polished styles. After the awkward first few minutes the room we were rehearsing in was bursting with screams of the choicest abuses and actor’s letting it loose.”

"Once Shamita let loose and went with the flow we discovered a hidden side to her. The shoot maybe over but I think she is still carrying the character with her,” he adds.
