New look of Irrfan Khan's next international project is out

India's truly global star, Irrfan Khan is all set to go international again with a love saga all set in the picturesque landscapes of Rajasthan. After much buzz, the film is all set to be released this year and now a brand new look from the film "The Song of Scorpions", directed by Anup Singh has just been released. Irrfan will be seen romancing with much acclaimed Hollywood actress, Golshifteh Farahani who was last seen in Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales. Talking about Irrfan, his role in the movie is that of a Camel trader hence the rusty and rugged appearance.

Priyanka Chopra & Dr Madhu Chopra celebrate the success of Purple Pebble Pictures!

After commercial success, rave reviews from critics and three national awards for their debut Marathi production, Ventilator (2016), Purple Pebble Pictures’ next offering Kaay Re Rascalaa (KRR) released nationwide today 

After an emotionally charged Ventilator, KRR promises to be a light-hearted, rib-tickling comedy. Directed by I. Giridharan Swamy, KRR marks the debut of Gaurav Ghatnekar and Bhagyashree Mote, also featuring Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Supriya Pathare and Akshay Kothari. 

On the occasion, Priyanka Chopra specially flew down to Mumbai to join her mother and KRR’s co-producer Dr Madhu Chopra for the press conference celebrating the success of Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP). 

While PPP forayed into regional cinema last year with three different language films including Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi (Bhojpuri), Ventilator (Marathi) and Sarvann (Punjabi) which were critically acclaimed and successful at the box office, the global superstar and Dr Madhu Chopra were truly excited to be part of their first official press conference celebrating the success of PPP. The production house has an interesting line up of films releasing soon including Pahuna in Sikkimese and Kashi Amarnath in Bhojpuri. 

Talking about her second Marathi production and PPP, Priyanka said, “It was tough for me to find a foothold in the industry in spite of winning the Miss World title. As a production company, we want to give opportunities to new talent. Kaay Re Rascalaa is an amazing example of that. Being a debutant director, I Giridharan Swamy has done a fabulous job with Kaay Re Rascalaa and I’m extremely happy with the movie.” 

Dr Madhu Chopra said, “When we set up PPP, our mandate was to provide an approachable place for different kinds of talent. Priyanka firmly believes in promoting and encouraging new talent because when she came to Mumbai, she found it very difficult to find her feet initially. I’m glad to be associated with family entertainers like Kaay Re Rascalaa.”

When Shivangi Kapoor did not recognise her own kids

Shivangi Kapoor who has recently visited the set of Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhanth Kapoor's Haseena Parkar almost ignored her children on set as she did not recognize them. 

Apoorva Lakhia has done a commendable job in the transformation of Shraddha and Siddhanth into Haseena and Dawood which has been garnering them a lot of appreciation. 

While on set both the actors were shooting together in their Haseena and Dawood's get up when their mother came to see them. Shivangi who was standing right beside Shraddha and Siddhanth could not recognize them and asked the team to show her way to their changing room. Shivangi then called Shraddha and found the phone ringing right beside her. 

Glancing at her kids in that avatar, Shivangi was quite thrilled of the transformation and the hardworking the team is putting in to get the nuances of their character. 

Apoorva Lakhia shares, “It was quite funny when Shivangi came on set and could not recognise Shraddha and Siddharth who were right in front of her. When she finally saw them, she was very surprised and for us it was a great moment as the authenticity of the look and transformation was appreciated in this way.” 

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Haseena Parkar stars Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia. Produced by Nahid Khan with Swiss entertainment and co-produced by Sameer Antulay & Babu Tyagi the film is set to release on 18th August 2017.

One Heart: The AR Rahman Concert Film Releases Worldwide On August 25

AR Rahman, who has over the years, enchanted the world with his soul stirring music, is now all set to take you through his awe-inspiring musical journey through One Heart: The AR Rahman Concert Film, which releases worldwide on August 25. 

The trailer of the film was unveiled today, and it will certainly strike a chord with AR Rahman’s fans and evoke all their fond memories associated with his music. It shows two sides of the singer-composer-filmmaker – first, the humble and private man, who loves nature and enjoys his own company and second, the music maestro, who sends his fans into a state of euphoria, every time he takes the stage.
