Parul Yadav's true friendship towards Priyamani

All actors are usually very conscious of how they look in public, what they wear and if they are dressed appropriately for a certain event or occasion. But Parul Yadav defied convention when she chose to attend her dear friend Priyamani's wedding wearing a leather jacket and denim.  

We saw Parul uploading pictures of her partying at Priyamani's sangeet function and also doing workshops for her film Butterfly with Ramesh Aravind. She surely seems comfortable juggling personal and professional commitments and knows how to balance them well. Then what made her wear denims and Jacket to a wedding function? 

"I have always tried to balance my personal and professional space and believe I have done a good job at it. But sometimes when things go wrong and you have to choose, I choose what is more important, and for me it's my relationships. I did not want to miss my dear friend's big day due to an outfit mishap and crazy schedules. Being there for her mattered more to me than looking good myself" said the thoughtful Parul who chose to be there for her friend at any cost. 

Kudos to this step taken by Parul Yadav and proving all of them wrong who believe that the friendships in the film industry are just on the surface. Parul, you go girl! You rocked the wedding in those denim's and a Jacket.

    ~कौन बनेगा करोड़पति 28 अगस्त से सोनी एंटरटेनमेंट टेलीविजन पर वापस आ रहा है — 

यह देश एक बार फिर से उस परिचित मध्यम आवाज को सुनेगा जो कहेगी, 'देवियों और सज्जनों' और 'लॉक किया जाए'। करोड़पति बनने के अपने सपने को पूर करने की कोशिश कर रहे कई आकांक्षियों के लिए प्रसिद्ध 'हॉट सीट' को एक बार फिर से खोल दिया जाएगा। यह समय है जब देश के सबसे बड़े सुपर स्टार, श्री अमिताभ बच्चन एक बार फिर भारतीय टेलीविजन के सबसे बड़े कार्यक्रम 'कौन बनेगा करोड़पति'(केबीसी) के 9वें संस्करण की मेजबानी करेंगे, जो 28 अगस्त से शुरू हो रहा है, हर सोमवार से शुक्रवार रात 9 बजे केवल सोनी एंटरटेनमेंट टेलीविजन (सेट) पर। 

केबीसी 9 नई लाइफलाइंस, रोमांचक गेमिफिकेशन और कई प्रकार की तकनीकी उन्नति के साथ शुरू होगा, जो सब विस्तृत रूप से सीमित एपिसोड के इस सीजन समाहित रहेगा। अभी तक की 'फोन अ फ्रेंड' लाइफलाइन को इस सीजन में 'वीडियो अ फ्रेंड' से बदल दिया जाएगा। इसके अलावा, एक नई कुशल शीर्षक वाली लाइफ लाइन 'जोड़ीदार' भी शुरू की गई है, जिसमें प्रतिभागी इस प्रसिद्ध हॉट सीट पर अपने साथ एक पार्टनर को शामिल करने के लिए ला सकते हैं। 7 करोड़ रुपए का जैकपॉट सवाल लाकर इस खेल को और भी ज्यादा मजेदार बनाया जाएगा। यह सबकुछ या कुछ भी नहीं वाला सौदा होगा, जहां प्रतिभागियों की बाकी बची लाइफलाइंस को खत्म कर दिया जाएगा। प्रसिद्ध लाइफ साइज चेक को डिजिटल मुद्रा में परिवर्तित किया जाएगा, जो एक्सिस बैंक के माध्यम से सीधे विजेता के खाते में जाएगी।

आम आदमी और समाज के प्रति उनकी उत्कृष्ट योगदान का सम्मान करने के वादे को आगे ले जाते हुए, श्री बच्चन खास एपिसोड में असल जिंदगी के नायकों को आमंत्रित करेंगे। इन लोगों को न केवल गेम खेलने का मौका दिया जाएगा बल्कि अपने ध्येय के समर्थन में देश तक पहुंचने के लिए एक प्लेटफार्म भी दिया जाएगा।

25 अगस्त को रात 9 बजे सोनी एंटरटेनमेंट टेलीविजन पर टेलीकास्ट किए जाने वाले खास 'अनावरण' एपिसोड में दर्शकों को भारत टेलीविजन पर कौन बनेगा करोड़पति के सफर को स्मरण करने का अवसर मिलेगा।

'कौन बनेगा करोड़पति' दर्शकों के समावेश को और भी बेहतर करके उन्हें इस खेल के और भी मजदीक लाएगा। जिओ सब्सक्राइबर अब घर बैठे जैकपॉट जीतो प्रतियोगिता में रोज भाग ले सकते हैं और हर रोज एक डैटसन रेडि—गो कार जीतने का मौका पा सकते हैं। पहली बार जिओ के सब्सक्राइबर्स के पास चालू गेम में 'साथ खेलने' और हॉट सीट पर बैठे प्रतिभागियों के साथ अपने ज्ञान की तुलना करने अवसर होगा।

Mantostaan-director Rahat Kazmi’s Rabbi, a burning satire on Islam and music

After two successful ovations and critical acclaim for his films Mantostaan and Side A Side B in Cannes, Rahat Kazmi, the young, effervescent directorwho doesn’t mince  words when it comes talking about the goings-on in the country, comes with Rabbi, a fresh story, this September, a  burning satire on whether Islam allows music or not!  

Says Rahat Kazmi of the film that is set again in Kashmir, “Rabbi is a satirical narration that tugs at your heartstrings, dealing with the clash of ideologies of the liberal, educated, modern Muslims and their conservative counterparts. The film focuses on love towards God instead of fear. I know I will raise more than few eyebrows, but filmmaking is all about making your voice heard, just the way I did in Mantostaan with my cinematic representation of Saadat Hasan Manto’s controversial stories weaved into a tale of the searing pain of the partition and the burning hearts that were torn apart by the line drawn across India slicing it into India and Pakistan.”​

Coming back to Rabbi, the film is the story of the rise and fall of a young musician essayed by fresh face Furqan Merchant and Bidita Bag (of Babumoshai Bandookbaaz fame), and touches a chord with Rahat’s own upbringing in a family of Sufis and his own experiences and the stand that he chooses to take in life. 

Apart from Furqan Merchant and Bidita Bag in the lead roles, the film stars Raghubir Yadav, Dolly Ahluwalia, Brijendra Kala, Virendra Saxena, Shoib Nikash Shah, Manini Mishra, Pooja Gupta among others. Sanjay Amar is the writer. Rabbi is produced by Rahat Kazmi, Zeba Sajid and Sanjay Amar, ​co-produced by Tariq Khan in association with Mediamark International Corp. Rabbi has already won four awards including Best Director & Critics’ Choice at Rajasthan International Film Festival and is expected to raise a voice on the tenets of Islam,  in terms of music that are misrepresented by a few of its followers.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra recently turned Grand Marshall at the India Day Parade in Toronto ,becoming  a part of the 'proud Indian' moment when she hoisted India's flag at the 70th Independence Day celebrations .Thousands of fans and proud Indians gathered at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto to catch a glimpse of the gorgeous star. Shilpa, who was accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra, also joined her in dancing to the ‘dhol’ beats.Dressed in an Arpita Mehta outfit with jewellery by Anmol Jewellers, the actress and wellness guru looked stunning at the India Day Parade in Toronto which took place yesterday.
