When Riya Sen refused to shoot intimate scenes for Ragini MMS Returns

Making for one of the boldest posters, ALTBalaji’s web series, Ragini MMS Returns unveiled its first look and left the social media space rife with uproar.
Essaying a pivotal role as Simran in the horror and sex genre, Riya Sen read the script and knew that the series would feature an intimate scene between her and her co-star Nishant Malkani, meant to be shot in an explicit manner.
However, while shooting the scene, the gorgeous actress felt uncomfortable. Fearing that she would have to breach her comfort zone, Riya approached the director of the web series, Suyash Vadhavkar and conveyed her concern. Resonating ALTBalaji’s belief that an actor’s comfort is paramount, the director, toned down the intimate scene considerably and shot it aesthetically. Once the talented actress was at ease, she pulled off the scene with great élan.
Riya says, “I had reservations shooting for the intimate scene. I discussed my discomfort with Suyash and finally convinced him to tone down the scene.”

Ankur Bhatia Reveals Unknown Details About Haseena Parkar’s Husband Ibrahim Parkar

Ankur Bhatia, who was last seen playing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s husband in Omung Kumar’s ‘Sarbjit’, will be next seen in Apoorva Lakhia’s ‘Haseena Parkar’, in which he will play Haseena’s husband Ibrahim Parkar and the actor recently revealed some unknown details about Ibrahim, who was gunned down by members of the Arun Gawli gang.  
Ankur said, “Initially, I had no idea about Ibrahim except for the fact that he was quite tall and well-built, which was why I was signed up to play the role. However, while interacting with Parkar and Haseena’s family, I discovered another side to his personality. Despite being a macho guy, who also worked as a stuntman in Bollywood films, Ibrahim had a playful side to him as well. A jovial person, Ibrahim was known for his larger-than-life personality and attitude as well as his romantic nature when it came to Haseena, who equally adored him. Needless to say, I was quite pleasantly surprised to know that beneath his tough guy exterior, he was quite the romantic.” 

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Haseena Parkar stars Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia. Produced by Nahid Khan with Swiss Entertainment and co-produced by Sameer Antulay and Babu Tyagi, the film is set to release on September 22.

When Shraddha Kapoor scared Apoorva Lakhia's friend

Shraddha Kapoor who will be seen playing the role of Haseena Parkar went through an huge personality change to get into the nuance of her bold character. Shraddha who has garnered a lot of appreciation for her look as Haseena, is known to be a happy & fun person. During the shoot of the film she almost scared a friend of Apoorva Lakhia with her entire personality. 
While shooting Haseena Parkar, Shraddha would spend a lot of time alone to keep an intense personality which was required for her character. Not only did the actress gained few pounds for the film she also went through an entire voice modulation process to get the deep voice like Haseena. To make sure that in all her scenes she had the same voice, she would talk to the entire set in that deep voice. 

Once on an intense shoot day, when director Apoorva Lakhia had his friend come on set. He was introduced to Shraddha and after his first interaction with the actress, he was rather taken aback. Contrary to her lovely nature, the actress maintained her deep voice in front of the director's friend which almost scared him. Apoorva had to explain his friend about the reason Shraddha sounded the way she did which eventually become a joke with lot of appreciation for the hard work the actress has put into her character.

P.O.W. BandhiYudhKe wins international accolades in Seoul Drama Awards

Emmay Entertainment are extremely proud to share the latest laurels won by their critically acclaimed show P.O.W. BandhiYudhKe. The family drama adapted from the international series Hatufim, won Special Jury Award at the Seoul Drama Awards held in Korea earlier this week. In addition, actor Satyadeep Mishra also won Best Drama Actor at the same event for essaying the role of Capt. Imaan Khan in the show. This is the first time a show from India has been felicitated at these awards. 
Ecstatic at this unexpected recognition, the series director NikkhilAdvani shared “At the onset we knew our project was going to challenge the daily diet of television in India. So humbled and pleased that our show has additionally found acceptance across borders in South East Asia.” 
Speaking on behalf of the producers, Emmay’sMadhuBhojwani had this to say “All our subjects are treated as content to bring with the utmost sincerity and authenticity, irrespective of whether it is for TV, digital or cinema. So proud of and grateful to our cast and crew for believing in the show.” 
The company continues to build on its foray into the television medium and is currently developing three programmes commissioned by popular satellite channels and digital platforms.
