My character of Dimple is different from my previous work: Kritida Mistry
Actor Kritida Mistry, who plays the role of Dimple
in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's (Swastik Productions) Shankar Jay Kishen 3
in 1, is thrilled with her role in the show. She says
that her character is very different from her previous show. “Shankar Jay
Kishen is my second show, my first was Piya Rangrezz. I feel very lucky that in
both the shows I got to play different roles. Dimple is a full fashionista. She
is very bubbly and happy-go-lucky. For her, brands are everything. She has to
have brands for everything, right from tiffin boxes to clothes,” she says.
The actor adds that being part of a comedy show is
helping her learn more about her craft. “I feel as an actor, you have to be
versatile, you should know how and what you are doing. Having said that, I am
still learning. Character building is a very difficult thing, so every day is a
learning process. I don't prefer any genre as such, I try to give my 100
percent in whatever I do. I would like to a negative role in the future now,
seeing that I have already played two positive roles.” she says.
In fact, Kritida adds that she can relate to
Dimple in some aspects. “I was playing a very shy and quiet girl in Piya
Rangrezz, I wanted to do something different and the role of Dimple attracted
me. I do relate to Dimple in some ways, I am bubbly and chirpy but I am not
that brand conscious,” she says.
Although she is working with Siddharth Kumar
Tewary for the first time, she feels comfortable on the sets. “I am working
with Swastik Productions for the first time. The experience has been amazing.
Everyone here is very sweet and understanding and I would like to work with
them in the future as well,” she says, adding, “All of us bond very well. Being
a comedy show, it is fun working on the sets. It doesn’t feel like work, it is
like having fun. We laugh all day, play pranks, we just love pulling each
other's leg. We never get tired.”
The actor says that she is glad people love the
show. “I am happy that people are loving the show. We are trying to put maximum
efforts into making it a success. And with time, the show is going to get more
interesting. I am already getting a positive response for my role and many
people message me on social media, saying they love the show,” she says.
