Siddharth inspired by Aamir Khan

Having worked together in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti (2006), Siddharth is quite fond of superstar Aamir Khan’s acting prowess and his unique and interesting ways to promote his films.  

Siddharth, who is eagerly awaiting the release of his forthcoming horror film, The House Next Door, has been a huge admirer of Aamir Khan, also referred to as B-town’s perfectionist.Not many are aware about the superstar’s trick to gauge audiences’ reaction before he goes ahead with his respective film that he’s working on. While Aamir mostly follow the audience testing trick before his film’s release, Siddharth also decided to do the same for his horror film, The House Next Door! 

Interestingly, the audience testing had the desired result. In fact, during the screening, the scary scenes made the audience jerk back in their seats. Siddharth was informed by the venue that the seats needed to be realigned the next day. 

Siddharth says "Audience testing is a fantastic process and I saw it for the first time in my films in Rang de Basanti. When we set out to make the best horror film this country has ever seen, we knew we would take advantage of testing. The results were fantastic and it helped us fine tune the film. We're going in with more confidence and yes, the seats in theaters screening our film will need some help the next day. This is a really scary film. It will make you jump."

Since I met Hiten, this is my first Diwali without him: Gauri Pradhan

While everyone gears up to celebrate Diwali with their families, actor Gauri Pradhan celebrated the festival without her husband Hiten Tejwani. The actor is locked up at the Bigg Boss house. However, Gauri isn't complaining. "This is the first Diwali since I have met Hiten, that we are not together. The kids and I are missing him a lot. He has never stayed away from us for more than two weeks at a stretch, but we are all getting used to it...it's tough though. Diwali is all about getting together with family and friends and enjoying your time together. All our previous Diwalis, we have always been with family and friends at home. Hiten loves to play cards and we always host and plan these parties," says Gauri. The actor is proud of her husband's performance in the show. "I think he is doing very well in Bigg Boss. He's very calm and composed. Otherwise also he rarely loses his calm...so he's just being himself! I think he's doing a great job," says Gauri.

KBC 9 and Sachin Tendulkar makes an ordinary man’s Diwali, a special one

A fortnight ago contestant Rajudas Rathod from Beed, Maharashtra, was the most talked about contestant of Sony Entertainment Television’s biggest game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 9. Rajudas, who holds the record of breaking TV remotes while quarrelling with his daughter in fear of missing his icon’s match, revealed on the game show that his lifelong wish was to meet the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. Interestingly, Sachin also took notice of his request and took to twitter to promise to grant him his wish. What happened next is something that Rathod had never dreamt of. Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 in association with Sachin Tendulkar’s app 100 MB surprise Rajudas Rathod by setting up a meeting on 18th October in Mumbai with the master blaster himself. It is biggest Diwali gift that Mr. Rathod has received so far.A source present during the meeting revealed, “It was an exciting and an emotional day for Rajudas Rathod, who finally got a chance to meet his icon Sachin Tendulkar. Overwhelmed with this gesture, Rajudas couldn’t control his emotions. To his surprise, Sachin spoke about how he watched the episode and felt blessed with the love he showered upon him. Further to thank Rajudas for the cake’s he cut on Sachin’s birthdays, Sachin requested to cut a cake to compensate all the celebrations. What followed was a signed bat from Sachin himself as a token of appreciation. It was indeed a great moment and made everyone happy.”

Shilpa Shetty lends helping hand on Super Dancer Chapter 2

Kids dance reality show Super Dancer Chapter 2 judge Shilpa Shetty not only admires and advices the little talents participating in the show, but also connects with them emotionally. While she is fond of Abir Rahman, who hails from Kolkata, the beautiful actor turned judge is also concerned about Abir’s younger brother’s shy nature. Abir’s brother feels extremely shy to interact or even make eye contact with anyone unknown to him. When Abir’s mother expressed that they have visited many doctors but no medication has worked so far, Shilpa helped her by giving them an expert therapist’s contact. 

Shilpa told her mother that Abir’s brother will be absolutely fine and has been checking about his health on a regular basis. Abir’s parents consider Shilpa Shetty extremely supportive and are moved by her caring nature. Shilpa on the other hand believes it is her responsibility to help people in need and she did everything that could only help a little kid grow stronger and confident. Abir’s brother also joined him on stage and danced. Whenever the little boy comes on stage and dances in joy, Shilpa Shetty gets emotional and her happiness reflects in her smile. 

Shilpa has been known for her emotional nature since Super Dancer’s first season and continues to be the same person even in the ongoing edition. She loves Abir’s performances as much as his little brother. Abir from Kolkata has made it to Super 12 and is considered as one of the strongest contenders to emerge as the winner.

What’s Prachi Tehlan’s Idea of Perfect Diwali?

Colours are in the ambiance, hustle-bustle in the markets and cheerful faces are quite a frequent sight to be spotted these days. . Well, it is evident from the scenario that the festive season is approaching soon. No matter how busy our favourite celebrities are in the shootings and promotional stuffs, to get hung up on the festival planning happens naturally to them as well. 

One of our beloved television actress, Prachi Tehlan, couldn’t control her excitement to share her idea of Diwali with her fans. Despite of the packed schedules and back to back shoots, she prefers to take a leave on the festival and enjoy. Talking about the same, she said, “I love being at home on Diwali because these are the only occasions when we get to spend some quality time with family and close ones. Moreover, such Diwali is synonymous to mouth watering food.  There is no substitute to the home made food. I don’t have to give a second thought when it comes to keeping aside my diet plan to grab a bite of matar paneer, poori sabzi with raita and of course sweets.” 

The big time foodie Prachi also promotes environment friendly Diwali. Telling about how she prefers to celebrate it, she said, “I love to light candles to decorate my home. I preferably refrain from burning crackers as they are neither good for humans not the animals. My idea of a perfect diwali is eating good food, relaxing while doing activities I love and visiting relatives to strengthen our bonds.”
