Angad starts training for Sandeep Singh biopic

Recently it was announced actor Angad Bedi will soon commence shooting after completing Abu Dhabi schedule of Tiger Zinda Hai for a biopic on Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh. The film is set to be directed by Shaad Ali and also has Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu in the film. Angad will be seen portraying the character of a hockey player and elder brother of Sandeep Singh which is being played by Diljit Dosanjh. Last week Angad starting his training as the hockey player with none other Sandeep Singh himself who has been flown down to train the actors. The game requires the high level of energy and stamina but for Angad, its comes handy as the actor has been trained as an athlete since a very young age.Angad was seen practicing hockey like any other professional player that impressed the hockey skipper. 

All the three actors will be seen playing sport players ok screen for the first time. A source says,"Hockey is a tough sport and Angad is giving it his all. Bikramjeet himself wilt jump into the field soon to train Angad in his style of playing. For now, Sandeep is making him go. The biopic reunites Angad with Taapsee Pannu after Pink and director Shaad All with lyricist Sulzer through the drill of professional hockey, teaching him how to dribble and other techniques while sharing anecdotes about him and his broth-er," informs a source. The biopic reunites Angad and Taapsee after Shoojit Sircar's National Award-winning film, Pink. It also reunited Shaad with his mentor Gulzar, who has penned the lyrics for all his five directoriais, from Saathiya to OK Manir. "An important part of the nar-rative revolves around the two broth-ers with the elder one making Sandeep realise what hockey really means to him. Bikramjeet trained him in the early years," a source added further. Angad will begin readings with Diljit and Taapsee soon and is expected to start shooting by the month-end.

Has Salil Ankola quit Color's Shaani, post the leap?

Ever since the popular show Shaani has taken it's much talked leap, speculations are going around whether the lead star and handsome hunk Salil Ankola will continue being a part of the show or not. Well according to recent developments, we hear that the makers have made some changes in the show and it has left with a big question that is Salil still part of the show or not?  
A source from sets have informed that, Salil who was playing the character of Surya Dev will now be seen in a graphical avatar. In an upcoming episode, Mahadev will introduce Suryadev as a ball of fire, a graphical image of Surya which have a voice over of a human being. The source informs that the makers are trying hard to retain the character of Surya and therefore are using the graphical representation of Salil's character. So does this mean that Salil is no more a part of the show? Or are makers trying hard to retain Salil's presence in the show. 

Well, these questions are a mystery for all the fans who are eagerly waiting for Salil to be on screen. Guess, only time will be able reveal the truth behind all the developments!

Promotional song of film 'Ittefaq' is 'Ittfaq se'

Akshaye Khanna, Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha shot the promotional song of their upcoming film Ittefaq...The track, 'Ittefaq Se', a reprised avatar of 'Raat Baaki' from Amitabh Bachchan-Shashi Kapoor's 'Namak Halaal', releases today. The original song's first stanza, which ended with 'Pyaar Se', has been aptly replaced with 'Ittefaq Se', in keeping with genre of the film — a rebooted version of Yash Chopra's 1969 suspense thriller of the same name...
The video features the directorial debut of Abhay Chopra without any dance moves....They're instead seen in their on-screen avatars, in accordance with the film's mysterious theme.The song will be part of the rolling credits of the film, which has a runtime of just 100 minutes. After an intriguing trailer, the makers have kept their fingers crossed for the response to the only song from the otherwise songless thriller

Siddharth inspired by Aamir Khan

Having worked together in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti (2006), Siddharth is quite fond of superstar Aamir Khan’s acting prowess and his unique and interesting ways to promote his films.  
Siddharth, who is eagerly awaiting the release of his forthcoming horror film, The House Next Door, has been a huge admirer of Aamir Khan, also referred to as B-town’s perfectionist.Not many are aware about the superstar’s trick to gauge audiences’ reaction before he goes ahead with his respective film that he’s working on. While Aamir mostly follow the audience testing trick before his film’s release, Siddharth also decided to do the same for his horror film, The House Next Door! 
Interestingly, the audience testing had the desired result. In fact, during the screening, the scary scenes made the audience jerk back in their seats. Siddharth was informed by the venue that the seats needed to be realigned the next day. 
Siddharth says "Audience testing is a fantastic process and I saw it for the first time in my films in Rang de Basanti. When we set out to make the best horror film this country has ever seen, we knew we would take advantage of testing. The results were fantastic and it helped us fine tune the film. We're going in with more confidence and yes, the seats in theaters screening our film will need some help the next day. This is a really scary film. It will make you jump."

Since I met Hiten, this is my first Diwali without him: Gauri Pradhan

While everyone gears up to celebrate Diwali with their families, actor Gauri Pradhan celebrated the festival without her husband Hiten Tejwani. The actor is locked up at the Bigg Boss house. However, Gauri isn't complaining. "This is the first Diwali since I have met Hiten, that we are not together. The kids and I are missing him a lot. He has never stayed away from us for more than two weeks at a stretch, but we are all getting used to it...it's tough though. Diwali is all about getting together with family and friends and enjoying your time together. All our previous Diwalis, we have always been with family and friends at home. Hiten loves to play cards and we always host and plan these parties," says Gauri. The actor is proud of her husband's performance in the show. "I think he is doing very well in Bigg Boss. He's very calm and composed. Otherwise also he rarely loses his calm...so he's just being himself! I think he's doing a great job," says Gauri.
