Aahan Kumra to be part of the unusual project titled 36 Ghante

The young and promising actress Aahana Kumra, who is on her way of creating a mark in the industry with her unconventional choices of roles and thereby delivering with perfection, is soon going to amaze the audiences yet again. The talented actress who was last seen in the hit film Lipstick Under My Burka and was lately been part of the successful play ‘The Father’ with her mentor Naseeruddin Shah, is now going to be part of an unique projected titled ’36 Ghante’ which is organized by NCPA and RAGE Presentation. 

The concept of ’36 Ghante’, as the name suggest will be creating ten plays, ten minutes each, in a span of 36 hours! Aahana, will be performing in one of these plays where she will get a span of just 7-8 hours to prepare for it and a rough time of just 45 mins to do the dry rehearsal before the main performance. The actress going to be a part of this concept in the company of around 60 different veteran theatre directors, playwrights and actors who will be working together for the first time. The list of some talented actors will be working with Aahana would be Ila Arun, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Neil Bhoopalam, Rajat Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Sumeet Vyas and many more.  This unique project is known be first of its kind and is a fundraiser for theatre by the theatre community. 

Spilling some more in depth details on it, the actress says, “It is an extremely interesting and challenging concept for me as it is a big test for any actor. As the name says, 36 Ghante it will be in staged in such a manner that the entire set up would be done in 36 hours. The scriptwriters will start working on the script 36 hours before the stipulated time of performance, the directors will get to know 24 hours in advance and the actors will be the real testers as they will get to know only 8 hours before their co-stars and team before the main performance. It is going to be highly challenging for me as in our normal play production we rehearse for days before the final product is seen on stage and in this one we will be just getting few hours! I am nervous at the same time super charged up about it. This is going to be a great learning at the same time have an amazing experience" 

36 Ghante is going to take place on 27th of October at the India's premier cultural institution, NCPA in Mumbai.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 with Taapsee Pannu & Dr. Subroto Das

The Friday Special episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s biggest game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 will see actress Tapsee Pannu supporting Dr. Subroto Das also known as Highway Masiha. Dr. Subroto Das is from Vadodra, Gujrat. The back story of Dr. Subroto Das goes back to a few years back while he and his family were returning from Khambat, Cambay and met with an accident. In the unfortunate incident, they were lying injured for about 4 hours without any help. Later, a milkman helped them by stopping his motorbike in the middle of the road to stop a bus and that is how ‘Sanstha- lifeline foundation’ was born. 

Dr. Subroto Das’ son- Sukanto Das also demonstrated the process of giving a CPR to a wounded person when Amitabh Bachchan requested him for the same. With the Friday Special episode about road safety, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he sometimes stops people who breaks signals and will continue to do so and requests fellow people accompanying him to help other people who becomes victims of accidents to which he has done that a number of times. 

Taapsee on the other hand was overwhelmed being on Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 and shared some memorable moments with Amitabh Bachchan while supporting Sr. Subroto Das.

I want a romantic role with a twist: Shakti Arora

Actor Shakti Arora is back from Indonesia and seems to have dived into work. The actor has been reading scripts and contemplating on what to take on next. “I came from Indonesia two weeks back, and the roles I'm searching for is, of course, romantic but with a new twist. Something which I haven't played yet. It can be a negative lead role as well. I don't mind as far as he is the hero,” he says. 

The actor has always been known for his boyish looks, and this seems to have worked for him. “I feel looks are a bonus but good acting is compulsory. I feel being boyish is an advantage for me because I can play both matured and boyish roles and can be part of the younger lot for a longer time,” he says. 

Ask him what is the secret behind his looks, and he says, “There’s no secret as such. Being an actor, it's mandatory to have a good diet and regular workouts. I think everyone can look younger for a longer period of time if they eat well.” 

As far as reality shows are concerned, Bigg Boss is not an option for an actor as of now. “I will do someday. But as of now, I don't think is the right time,” he says. 

Shakti has been part of the industry for a while and has observed many changes. “Technology-wise, there are a lot of changes in the television industry. But acting wise, we are lagging behind. The same old style of acting is being adopted till now. There are some youth channels which are breaking that old formula as well as some web series. I feel that trend should soon start in GEC networks too,” he says.

I am someone who will never to go to any party to get work: Sneha Wagh

Work is worship for actor Sneha Wagh, who has been part of shows such as Jyothi and Sher-e-punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Social parties are a big part of showbiz and many times become instrumental in getting you your next role. However, Sneha says that she has always refrained from bagging roles in this manner. “I am someone who will never to go to any party to get work. What is not in my hands, why should I run after that? Rather, I will concentrate in my craft. Talent will take you places. Right now, I am looking for something substantial - a character which can create an impact in my career,” she says.

The actor feels that talent has always played a pivotal role in her career. "I was a bit scared when I got to play a mother's role again in Maharaja Ranjit Singh, because in our industry actors get typecast easily. When I played the role of a mother in Veera, I was quite young and there was not a big gap between me and my on screen children. To me, the role always matters more. How much I am giving to it, is important. I am picky and choosy when it comes to my roles. But I have immense faith in my talent and my craft. I know, no matter how tough the role is, I will give my best,” she says.

The mystery romantic thriller generated buzz during the shoots and the sizzling chemistry between the lead artists was talked about everywhere.  Now as the date of release is close the gorgeous two come together to unveil the trailer of Tera Intezaar today at JW MARIOTT Juhu.

Speaking to media Sunny Leone said, “It’s been a wonderful experience shooting with Arbaaz and the cast of Tera Intezaar.  We bonded very well during the Mauritius shoot. My character is in constant search for Arbaaz in the film who goes missing mysteriously. What follows adds to the mystery and thrill as her search for love continues.  It is for the first time that I have played this kind of role.”

Actor Arbaaz Khan added saying, “It’s a very interesting film with melodious peppy songs. There are elements of mystic, romance and thriller that will keep the audience hooked. Sunny Leone (Raunak) plays an art-gallery owner who falls in love with an Artist ( Arbaaz Khan ) who  is  a natural  painter. Their love story takes a sudden twist of fate when Rounak finds Veer missing one fine morning. Her frantic search begins and she starts looking for him everywhere.  Rounak sees weird things happening around her which scares her. Her hunt for Veer leads her to meet a Medium ( Sudha Chandran). Medium, through her divine powers starts anticipating many problems happening around her. The mystery deepens as they delve deep into the circumstances that unfold.
