Perhaps I was destined to play the character of Susheel: Prachi

Known to bring forth refreshing plots and striking stories, Star Plus is set to air a new show with Prachi Tehlan in the lead. Ikyawann, which will be telecasted during prime time, traces the story of a girl raised by four fathers. While promoting her upcoming show, Prachi mentioned that she feels very connected to her character and also that she was destined to play this role. ‘My character Susheel is very similar to who I am in my real life. Just like Susheel, I preferably wear loose fitting clothes and dress up like boys. Both of us are aggressive personalities with a kind heart. Also, Susheel is confident, big time foodie and loves her father more than anybody else. That’s so like me,” says Prachi. Prachi was a national level basketball player before she stepped in the television industry. Interestingly, as the story progresses, viewers can see Susheel turning into a sports person as well. Speaking further, Prachi mentions about the concept her character believes in. “Susheel always says that ‘Jo wrong hai wo wrong hai...aur Susheel kabhi wrong nhi hone deti,’ to which I can associate myself.” The actress, who started her television career from the show Diya aur Baati hum, is blessed with a great height. The already released promos evidently speak of how her height will play a vital role in defining the character. Speaking about coming on board, Prachi in an interview reveals that she gave the audition for the show a year ago. “It took almost one year for the makers of the show to finalize me. Perhaps I was destined to play this character. Despite looking for other suitable matches, the search ended up on me and I am really grateful for that,” says Prachi.

Shweta Tripathi to return with her much popular role in Disney’s The Trip Season 2

The versatile actress Shweta Tripathi last year did a finite web series The Trip that went on to be a super success. The Trip was a story of four girlfriends Shweta Tripathi, Lisa Haydon, Mallika Dua and Sapna Pabbi on a road trip in Thailand as a part of the bride’s bachelorette, the journey though turns into an emotional roller coaster. 

The plot touted to be the female version of Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara in the initial stage, a bachelorette trip with a generous dose of self-discovery and somewhere hints towards Hollywood hit franchise The Hangover type hiccup situations. But at the end girls emerge out of that tricky situation stronger and closer than ever. The Trip was one hilarious ride to experience especially for girl gangs and with The Trip Season 2; Shweta Tripathi is geared up to explore her quirky side to the next level of entertainment. 

Currently, Shweta is all game playing Golu Gupta in another video on demand series Mirzapur for Amazon Prime under Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani production. Shweta is sky high doing multiple projects especially on a digital platform and with The Trip Season 2 and Mirzapur, she is all set for more visibility onscreen. Shweta will take the lead in the second season as the story now focuses on her life post the bachelorette celebration and will be shot in Rajasthan. When asked Shweta about The Trip Season 2, she said, "Shooting for The Trip was a party. The girls got along amazingly well helping each other with everything from dialogues to clothes. I can’t wait to get on screen with them again."

Actor Shilpa Shinde is clearly the spice of Bigg Boss 11. Be it her entertaining antics, cooking skills or kind nature, Shilpa surely seems to have become a favourite in the Bigg Boss house. Recently, co contestant, actor Hina Khan, also spoke about how Shilpa is very caring towards everyone in the house and is always ready to offer help, which is a rarity in such a show.  

However, as she succeeds in showing her positive side on national television, there are ways to tarnish her image by those who want to hurt her. One such way has been through a picture of Shilpa with a man. This MMS picture has been doing the rounds, however it is fabricated.

“In today’s day and age, there are many ways to tamper with a person’s image.  it is completely fabricated or may be a look alike's  photo. Nowadays everything can be photo shopped and morphed,” says the actor’s friend.

It is clear that Bigg Boss is a big show and its contestants instantly come in the limelight. All contestants have a strong backing outside the house and they are constantly rooting for their favourite inmate. However, this year there seems to be a trend that is being followed where, along with supporting their favourite contestant, these followers are also taking part in maligning others in the show. And this fabricated picture seems to be a result of that.

Off late, Shilpa, as well as Vikas Gupta, have been getting a lot of screen time, and this might be bothering the others in the house. It is a well-known fact that Shilpa and Vikas share a bad past professionally. And while others in the house often resort to abuses and confrontations, Shilpa has decided to play pranks on him, offer food consistently or sing songs, to antagonise him, without breaking any rules. This is why both she and Vikas have been enjoying a lot of screen time.

Shilpa's never-say-die spirit is also very evident in the show. She is constantly struggling to do her best by entertaining others as well as participating in all the tasks. She is constantly seen working and cooking in the kitchen and makes sure to feed everyone. We have also seen her humane side when she has often comforted those who are upset, be is Sapna Chaudhary or Dhinchak Pooja. She is also one of the few who understands Akash Dadlani and is seen often telling the others that he has a great heart.

Shilpa is truly one of the best contenders that has ever been in Bigg Boss and will surely play the game well.

Why Was Vidya Balan Afraid of Amitabh Bachchan on Kaun Banega Crorepati 9

The finale episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s biggest game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 will see ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh along with actress Vidya Balan take charge on the hot seat. It was an entertaining episode where cricket and movies were discussed at length.At one point, Vidya Balan started a conversation about ‘meme’ circulation around the show and the actor/host. At first, Amitabh Bachchan didn’t understand what ‘meme’ was and asked Vidya Balan the exact way to pronounce the word followed by seeing different memes circulating on the internet. Vidya was not sure if it would offend him and a little afraid. But, Amitabh Bachchan being the star that he is took it sportingly and asked her to show him more.
