Black Coffee's first two episodes get 3.5 million views

Producer Yash Patnaik's Black Coffee is already a hit. The first two episodes of the web series have been aired, and have already garnered 3.5 million views. It's a proud moment for the producer, who says, "We launched Black Coffee on a completely new platform and we are happy that viewers have lapped it up. So far, the first two episodes have generated over 3.5 million views, which is very encouraging. The YouTube channel Beyond Originals has generated over 75k subscribers within 3 weeks. All this without much marketing or PR push. This adulation will help us tell more stories."
Yash says that while they were eagerly waiting to see how the audience reacts to the show, they were not expecting this result. "It was an experiment for us. We had expected it to do decently well. But the success has been exceptional. There is a huge demand for the next episodes from the fans. Brands are reaching out to us and inquiring about our new series. We are in a happy space," he says.
Needless to say, fans seem to have loved actors Harishita Gaur and Param Singh. "As this was our first series and on a new platform, we wanted actors, who understand our story telling and the audience of the medium. Harshita and Param have managed to break their earlier image with Black Coffee," he says.
Talking about the screening schedules for the rest of the series, Yash says, "We wanted to give enough breathing space to the first two episodes, so the gap between each episodes was 2 weeks. From the 3rd episode, we will reduce the gap to one week each. We are working out a fixed date and time schedule from episode 4."

Beyond Dreams have a lot of other surprises for their fans. "We are currently working on four  new web-series. They will be as different from each others as chalk and cheese . We will be treading in to spaces which have not been tried before," says Yash.

Aman Dhaliwal is Shiv Dutt

Aditya Redij as Bamani, Rati Pandey as Anusuiya, Aman Dhaliwal as Shiv Dutt in PORUS

After Taapsee, Vicky Kaushal joins for Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan?

Vicky Kaushal is soon going to have a year at the movies and quite true. The actor already has three confirmed and announced films releasing in the first half of next year and soon he will begin shooting for his next, a film based on the Indian surgical strike titled Uri to be directed by Aditya Dhar. He recently wrapped up Meghna Gulzar's Raazi with Alia Bhatt which will release in May next year and has more releases next year including Raju Hirani's The Dutt biopic, Karan Johar's short in Bombay Talkies 2 and Love Per Square Foot by Ronnie Screwvala. And now adding another film to his list is Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. The film which was earlier meant to be made is now being made completely made into a new film. Sources say that the film has a new script which has been crafted under the supervision of the director Anurag himself.Interestingly this would be the second time Vicky would be collaborating with Anurag after his amazing performance in the directors Raman Raghav 2.0 in which he played a dark role of a cop living on the edge chasing a serial killer on the loose played by Nawazuddin Siddique. This time, the subject is much lighter in form of a romantic film and Vicky is the first male lead signed on for the film we hear. The lookout for the other male lead of the film is still on and the film will go on floors early next year. It would be interesting to see the pairing of Taapsee and Vicky together on screen, definitely two names from the young brigade of actors who have proven their mettle as actors early on.

I am enjoying playing the lead in Tenali Rama- Priyamvada Kant

The beautiful actress Priyamvada Kant  started with a really huge show for Balaji called Bayttaab Dil Ki Tamanna Hai followed by Bairi Piya, Hamari Saas Leela, Thoda Hai Bas Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Veera and  Swimteam. On being asked about playing lead in Tenali Rama she says, “Tenali Rama is a mythological comedy, the first of its kind. The period drama is hard, as it is, and we all know comedy is the hardest genre. Both rolled into one, is extremely challenging. Getting the diction, the body language right, carrying the costume and then being able to make people laugh cry and get emotional is super hard. I’m glad we have all been able to crack it and the show is a success. My character Sharda is an absolute delight. She is fun, innocent, full of spunk and life, she is intelligent loves her family. I love playing this character as it gives me a lot of happiness in my personal life as well.
Actor Priyamvada Kant, is happy that she has got a chance to make the switch to comedy as a lead girl. Her latest show is a lighthearted period drama. She says, “I have done so many negative roles, and those shows really made me a popular
household name. People get attached to your characters in such shows, as they can relate to the story.”
But these negative characters got to her at one point. “Whenever I would go somewhere, people recognised me, taunted me and even abused me!” shares the actor. “I needed to take a backseat, and hence taking up shows of other genres was a conscious decision,. She might have got tired of playing the antagonist, but what kind of characters does she enjoy the most? Priyamvada says, “It isn’t difficult playing positive, but negative roles are very hard, as it’s mentally very taxing. I am enjoying doing comedy now, which, though a

bit hard, is immensely exciting. I am also looking forward to try out stand-up comedy now!” She is getting lot of appreciation for her role. She adds, “ I am enjoying playing the lead in Tenali Rama and response is superb. From all over the world fans are messaging me that they love to watch the show
