The
latest promo trailer of Tiger Zinda Hai (a sequel to the blockbuster Ek Tha
Tiger) has Salman Khan fighting wolves in snow-clad terrain. It reminds us of
the fantastically shot scenes with wolves in Liam Neeson's Hollywood hit The
Grey. So much so, that some Hollywood fans might term the sequences as copied.
Even Salman's get-up with a woolen cap and leather jacket in some scenes match.
Though of course, on the whole, the films would have completely different
plots. The clips which begin with Salman skiing like James Bond and Van Damme;
being chased by a pack of four wolves. They end with him being attacked head-on
by a wolf, while he tries to defend himself with axes. Though the end of the
Bollywood promo is as vague as the climax of the Hollywood survival-flick, we
are quite sure 'Tiger' Salman will survive, whether Liam Neeson did or didn't
(wink). After all, our superheroes never die in a fight. Do they? "The
scenes seem to have been wonderfully shot and look realistic and convincing.
Even if a little inspiration has been taken from Hollywood films like The Grey
or The Revenant (where Leonardo DiCaprio fights and gets mauled by a bear), I
don't think it should attract controversy," remarks Bollywood's only PR
guru Dale Bhagwagar. Now, we all know that humans have no chance of surviving a
hand-to-hand fight with wolves. So does Dale think Salman would survive?
"Tiger zinda hai, woh kaafi nahin hai kya?" asks the PR expert as he
grins. "Salman's giving great money-making hits to our industry. So if
he's having a desi Tiger franchise like James Bond, Jason Bourne, xXx, Harry
Palmer, Taken or the Mission Impossible series; what's the harm! The more the
merrier," concludes the public relations specialist.

R Madhavan's inspiring speech on entrepreneurship & technology left the audience awestruck
Besides
being a prolific actor, R Madhavan is also known for his motivational speeches
on various occasions. In October this year, the talented actor left the
audience spellbound at The Washington Chapter in Washington DC (USA) with his
admiring speech.
The
talented actor was recently in Los Angeles (USA) to deliver a talk on the
topic, ‘Entrepreneurship changing landscapes of technology – what to expect and
how to prepare for the near future’.
Praising
the actor, Lakshmi Pratury, the host and curator of the event, says, “R
Madhavan spoke about the importance of balancing a journey into the
technological future and a journey within oneself to find out what makes us
happy. He spoke about Indian ingenuity in the space programme and the need to
understand stories of our accomplishments. He spoke about the need to
consolidate the scientific research and advancements under one roof, so that
people can take advantage of each other’s work instead of repeating it. It was
about celebrating Indian innovation and supporting it with financial as well as
policy decisions.”
A
source says, “Despite having a hectic schedule, Madhavan always manages to take
time out for activities that he likes being part of. He prefers travelling to
different places for work, and has delivered motivational speeches in India and
abroad.”
“Though
Madhavan spends quality time with his family and take his dearest ones out for
vacations whenever he is free, he doesn’t really travel much. He often prefers
to travel for work, be it participating in the four-city golf tournament held
in Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad or visiting The White House to address
a conference on girl education and women empowerment. For Madhavan, it’s his
work that inspires him on an individual level to travel and not just for
leisure.”
