No to drugs, says Sai Baba

In today’s fast paced world, people are busy with their everyday lives and commute. Youngsters seldom get time to relax and turn to other means such as alcohol and drugs to reduce their stress. The social evil of drug addiction is on the rise and curbing this menace is a necessity of today’s times. Abeer Soofi who essays the role of Sai Baba in Sony Entertainment Television’s show Mere Sai has practiced law before becoming an actor. He was deeply affected after witnessing drug addiction cases. Coincidentally, the current track on the show depicts the village of Shirdi encountering a drug menace. Sai Baba had rescued villagers from the clutches of drug addiction. 

When contacted Abeer said, "I was a criminal lawyer before becoming an actor and practiced law for a brief period. During my stint I came across people turning to crime to satisfy their cravings for drugs. It was heart wrenching to see people commit theft to buy drugs and I couldn’t fathom the reason for people to get addicted to something which destroys their lives in all aspects. I used to advise people to stay away from it whenever I could. With the upcoming track on the show, I was glad that such a noble message will be sent to audiences all over. I discussed the dialogues with the creative team and also added my own inputs in the same.  It’s a humble request to all to steer clear of these drugs which only cause harm and nothing else. Find something constructive to do, stay connected to family and friends. Alcohol and drugs do not solve any problems that we face in real life. One needs to take a firm step and find the happy spot in our lives. Also, on the show we are presenting a case of Shirdi being affected by drug addiction and how Sai Baba advises villagers to stay away from it and saves them.”

Love is in the air

The day of love is finally here! As telly actors get ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day tomorrow, they share their plans and their dream dates.

Abraam Pandey - Valentine's Day is really not important for me because I think if you love someone and want to express your love, you don't need a particular day to express it. I would like to date Deepika Padukone as she has all the qualities what a guy looks for in his life partner and also because our height is similar.

Tarun Khanna - Valentine's Day has always been a special day in my calendar. I try to not work on this day and if I am working, then I make sure that I pack up by early evening, so that I can spend some romantic time with my beloved wife. Every day is like a Valentine's Day for me ever since she has come into my life. I'm planning to take her for shopping in the morning. Then will take her for Chinese meal as she loves it. Then we will watch a romantic movie or any movie of her choice. In the evening, I will take her for Italian food as that's another of her favourites. We will go for a long drive in the night. I will definitely choose Smriti as my date every time, not because she is my wife, but because I still think that she is the most beautiful woman in and out.

Ankush Bali - I feel that if you love someone then you don’t need a day to show it. But it’s a good day to ask someone to be yours. If I am given a chance to take someone out for a date on Valentine’s Day, it would be Scarlett Johansson as I think she is one of most beautiful woman.

Himmanshoo Mahotraa - Valentine's Day used to be important when I was in school, college and when I was dating Amruta as well. But post marriage, I think Valentine Day loses its importance and birthdays and anniversaries takes precedence. But yes, Valentine's Day is equally important, slightly lesser than birthdays and anniversaries, but it matters nevertheless. Unfortunately, Amu will be shooting this year and I have BCL matches going on, so probably we will go out for a dinner. We would have gone somewhere but that's not possible because of both our work commitments. I wish to take Deepika Padukone on a date once and want to know her more because she is fabulous and very beautiful.

Mrunal Jain - Every year I celebrate Valentine's Day with my wife Sweety. But this time we are busy with MTV BCL. So, I am planning a dinner date with Sweety.

National Award Winning director Onir promoted his upcoming movie “Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz” in Delhi along with cast

The National award winning director, who is known for his intense movies Onir, is back with another romantic drama flick, titled as Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz. The film is slated to release on this coming 16th Feb, it stars Geetanjali Thapa and marks the debut of Zain Khan Durrani. Therefore the entire team came along together to promote their upcoming film out here in Delhi. The leading actors along with Onir interacted with media at a press conference held in Hotel Le Meridien at Ashoka Road Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz is relating to trending whatspp kinda Romace. A modern day love story in the age of social media portrayed by two leading characters of the film RJ Alfaaz & Artist Archana. A friendship blossoms between the two strangers hidden behind their digital screens. It quickly translates in to a whirlwind of romance, until they bare their true selves to each other.Well, while talking to media director Onir shared his views about the movie, he stated, “I started shooting for this film in August last year, the entire journey of the film was amazing.” In a funny way he said, “It’s a first time in this film of mine no one is dying, this movie spreads love and happiness. This movie coming on the Valentines weekend and I guess it’s a perfect time for this movie to get released.” About the cast he said, “We have two beautiful people in this film Geetanjali Thapa who is an national award winner and the other is Zain of course is a talented actor, he suited his character very well. “There is unbelievable strength that I get from Lord Shiva” – Rohit Bakshi

The talented actor Rohit Bakshi who essays the role of Bhairav in BIG Magic’s magnum opus mythological show Shaktipeeth Ke Bhairav, has been appreciated by the masses for his exemplary performance. The actor who is a staunch follower of Lord Shiva is extremely happy to play the role of Bhairav which is a form of his favorite god – Shiva. Well icing on the cake is that he got to don the avatar of Shiva not just once but twice! Rohit strongly connects with Shiv Shambhu. On the same when we got in touch with him he quipped, “It may be hard to believe for people, but there is unbelievable strength that I get from Lord Shiva.
